I would just love to sit down with all the members and talk about a listeners interpretation of the story versus their own, as the writers. Before I even listened to Shadows Rise I was brought to tears with nostalgia, because Wretched and Divine was such an important album to my life and childhood especially. Amazing, as always. :-)

I'm convinced the decision to release the poison has allowed a little sugar to replace the bitterness that has only helped to make a healthier, happier group. It's absolutely noticeable. This album explains all of the emotions that most will experience throughout life. It's brilliant, wouldn't have expected anything less!
I've not seen anyone mention this, also I could be wrong. I am a fairly new fan. I've done a deep dive and I'm hugely invested for the rest of my life. This feels to me like it stems around the situation with a certain toxic issue that they needed to cut away in order to move on and be alright. It doesn't feel right to me to state the obvious simply because they do everything possible to disallow the name of the toxic issue. Refuse to accidently give credit to said toxic poison. Lol, this makes total sense to me. Let me know if any if you catch my meaning, am I wrong?

Kinda wish all this lore was written into the album. I feel like phantom tomorrow falls short of any actual storytelling if listeners are supposed to go read a comic in order to get the story. Still a great album, but it doesn't feel like a concept at all

@@sierraknudsen1966 I like Alkaline Trio, Bad Religion, Pixies, The Replacements... I like a lot of different music and bands. And thank you for noticing the respectful cadence of my message. I really wanted people to know that I tried hard to get into the band, and it was upsetting to me when I couldn't because Andy comes off as such a well rounded individual. Although, I really enjoy him as an actor. He's fantastic in American Satan and Paradise City!
The album is very disappointing, Andy's melodies are on point and he sounds amazing but the guitar work is really generic and derivative of things they already done. There are songs where the guitar doesn't fit the song, and the mixing isn't very good, the tone of the guitars sound like they were recorded at home. Crimson skies it's an example were the guitar and melody just don't work together. There were some great tracks like Torch, Fields of Bone and the album's best Blackbird. But there are some generic/bad tracks like Shadows rise, where the attempt of a Shadows die (fantastic song btw) sequel is really bad, especially the guitars. Sometimes Andy's lyrics can be too much on the nose but he's great at making choruses.
