Thank you to VIP Record Fairs for having us along for this one!

Jesus those prices are insane! I’m not surprised that’s what they’re charging at a VIP fair though, their dealer costs are way too much.
The prices are out of control.
Totally
Enjoyed your video! But the prices now are unbelievable. I bought my sister AIC Dirt back in the day for £8.99 from HMV in 1992 which she still has & I picked up Nirvana's Bleach & incesticide at a car boot for 20p each 20 years ago.
Oh wow! That’s crazy! Unfortunately around 20 years ago is when everyone was throwing out their nirvana bleaches and their dirts 😢
You a lucky for having him and he is lucky for having you man!! Great channel!! I am glad to see how good friends you two are!!
I found Patto hold your fire at the boot sale for 50p 😊
What a find! Well done!
Just found your channel and really enjoying it. Poppa Dave has me cracking up with his hardcore haggling! And at the end of this video: "I bought this...but I dunno what it is!" Class! 🤣🤣 Looking forward to hitting the Norwich record fair later this month to see what gems are about! 👀
Another great video. Love watching you two. 👌👌
Thanks Ian, glad you enjoyed 😁
Ridiculous prices glad I live in Australia and a reason I gave up on metal vinyl collecting
Wow, what an amazing fair! I'm pleased you both got some bargains. I love that Opeth Picture Disc and I have never seen a Taiwanese press before. Enjoy!
Thanks for watching! It was definitely amazing. Glad you enjoyed our finds :)
thanks for this cool vid mate love to watch you guys
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it Daniel 😁
Love this watched every video!! Any record collected/wallflower would love this content keep it up 🤣😎👍
Great video! I really enjoy watching your videos. I was at that Victoria VIP record fair. It's one of the best record fairs in the country in my view. It really pays to have a good dig through all the records as exhausting and overwhelming as it can be at times ;) . I also had a rummage through that box with all the original Vertigo swirl LPs and I agree - they were too overpriced as much as I would have loved to have added a few of those gems to my collection :) . However, I found some really nice records that I had on my wantlist for a good price so I can't complain :) . Happy digging! :)
Sounds like you had a good time! The issue with digging through them all is that you'll end up spending way too much money! Definitely worth it if you are looking to spend big though :)
Brings me out in a sweat watching this video. I'm lucky enough to have a lot of those og metal albums from the 80s. Even that Hexenhaus vinyl. Great video guys.
You and me both! We really didn't know where to start or to end, thanks for watching dude! Send us over a photo of your latest find 😎
Just came across this. Very enjoyable watch. Prices are mental.
Thanks Simon! Glad you enjoyed. And yes, prices were high on this one! :)
Your grandfather should be happy with that Sabbath reissue if it’s on the Earmark label. I have quite a few from them and they sound great.
Good stuff! I’ll ask him how he found the quality of sound on the press 😎
That Magnum for 50 Quid!?!? Steal
Your videos make me smile 😊
Ah we are so glad to hear mate! Thanks for watching :) send us over a photo of your latest find at a fair/shop!
Is this the one from last weekend? Enjoyed it there, but the prices of some of them. YIKES!
Yes this was the last one! Did you buy much?
I have that turquoise led zeppelin...my uncle gave it to me along with other zeppelin albums...im utterly shocked at the price.
You must have SOME uncle! It is extremely rare as they only released just a few of that first album with the turquoise writing :D
I know that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I like rooting through second hand 45s. These modern fairs seem so sterile to me and there never seems to be boxes of 45s anymore. Please tell me if I’m wrong. Enjoyed the video anyway 🤣👍
Fair enough! I like to collect the original pressings of albums. There are still lots of 7” boxes but you’ll find more albums as most 7” singles are worthless and more often than not the work is not worth it for the dealer 😎
I love the old singles too. Got 1000's of them. Still find myself buying doubles and triples. No wonder my bird calls me a wally.
You got my sub. Great stuff.
Awesome, thank you!
A good place. Yea. A lot of vinyl. WoW.
Congrats on surpassing 1k
Thank you! 🥰
Great video guys, really enjoyed it, apart from the astronomical prices. And i thought HMV was expensive. If i still had my vinyl collection from the mid 70's it would be worth a fortune, all were first press bought on release. Good to see you're an Opeth fan, and not just their early death metal stuff. Sorceress is a good album i have it on black vinyl, a Ltd Edition box set on green vinyl, regular cd, and a delux cd, but guess what ? I dont have is the picture disc hahaha. The one you need to look out for, unless you already own it, is Heritage on vinyl, its worth a fortune, £200 and £300 on ebay, and no, i dont it on vinyl, think i have 2 or 3 different copies on cd though. Keep the videos coming, really enjoy them. Maybe you'll make it to haggis land sometime.
Thanks James! Yes it’s a shame you haven’t got your original collection! I’m sure it’d be worth a fortune nowadays.
We’re up in Edinburgh soon so we’ll be looking for record shops to film at there! 😎
Great Vid ... epic show . I think i'll make a trip from the US . Good to see you haggle a little for your wants . How may dealers at this event . How many times a year . I have family in London area.
I been collecting on and off for over 40 years and now its really on again can't stop but it's the best junkie u can be anyway after that rambling I was wondering was that the ivanhoe hotel because I used to sell at a fair around that way and even 40 years ago it was the best record fair
No this was The Royal Horticultural Halls, Victoria 😁
Lotsa metal... lotsa swirls.. lotsa moola !
Lotsa temptation too!
never seen that one before
Extremely rare 👀
I don't have a record collection but if i did it would be vertigo.
Atomic that i need...but all VIP price it seems....
Some great pickups, always fun to go to record fairs even if the price can a bit high sometimes, but there is usually some room for bargins. Cheers
Definitely! Thanks for watching! 😁
It's fun watching you pair having a good time and haggling out a nice price. I'm surprised you don't take some shekels and turnips to barter with.
If you see Steve (Japanese seller) at the next fair. Tell him to get his arse up to Stoke (Hanley fair). I could do with some of that lovely Maiden vinyl. Haven't seen him in nearly 2 years. Thanks! BTW, can you remember the prices for TNotB (promo edition?) and PoM LPs?
Will bring some carrots to the next one! And apologies! I cannot remember those prices.
I've met that seller who had all the Vertigo Swirls at the Lincoln Engine Shed (best record fair I've been to). Did you see his David Bowie The Man Who Sold The World copy with the dress cover?
There’s a lot we didn’t see of his.. we had to walk away before it got too much! Never seen such a stall 🤯
I made a living selling rare records in the late 1970s from home in London, advertising in the NME and Sounds. I sold a few copies of the dress cover album, the most I got was £175, but I had to pay £75 for it. I went under the name 'Leader of the Pack' which is still registered in my name!@@thevinylhunters
Great Pick Up’s
Thank you 😎
@@thevinylhunters You’re welcome
Im surprised the dealers sell any at these prices no bargains here folks
Great videos - We watch them on an evening on the living room TV. You should stretch your legs and come to the LEEDS Record Fair, It's the middle of each month - huge venue, been running for 5 years, city center location in two large halls of a large Victorian market. We're going next Saturday, 14th October. I'd post a link but YT would remove the comment. Leeds is great too - so a nice day out overall.
Hey thanks for watching mate! We really appreciate that and glad you enjoy 😁
Leeds record fair.. noted! Thanks 👍
Just bought tickets for November
Maybe see you there James! Happy hunting :)
Those swirls were waay too overpriced!!
I will stay with Ebay!!
12 euro is my limit, only in rare cases i pay more.
I’ve give you a like 😮
So generous!!!
How does it work with royalties for the bands when the albums are so old and they are bought in record fairs like this? obviously they get money when the record was origionaly bought but do they make anything when it is resold like this...just interested
No they get nothing after the record is sold to the record store.
I like how they say “records” in the UK
Camera moves to fast to see anything...gave me a headache!!
Is it a yearly or monthly record fair?
Oilver Reed presents...
Think you got cleared out wallets after today at those prices even with your good negotiating.
You didn't show how much Dark Side of the Moon was
spinal tap shirt 😎👍
£260 for dirt is actually taking the p***
Don't you have to pay any entry fee or had you payed before you started recording?
There's a record fair twice a year where I live in Sweden and there you have to pay an entry fee to get in.
I could stand that if the venue would be this bright and big and not at all crowded instead of being very dark, very small and very crowded.
We have to pay to get in. It’s the biggest fair in the country for sure!
Youd be better off buying tulips
Vinyl collector's and cannot buy coz of astronomical prices.......It's just so overpriced these days and not justified....the Opeth vinyl was a bargain though 😁😁🤘🤘👍👍
Prices can be high nowadays yes. If I saw an original blackwater park I’m sure I’d pay regardless of what was on it! 😭
You pick out great stuff but maybe you don't know the actual prices good vinyl is going for?
We are well aware that the rare stuff fetches higher prices. In the case of some of the more affordable rare stuff, we will definitely buy it if it is a good deal for us, but sometimes you see things that should be £50 that are up for £80+ and that's just not worth it, even if it's rare.
Geeks RUS
You two are one of the reasons why dealers charge so much for any old rock records stop paying these stupid prices
Rip off merchants
insane prices. Everything that's wrong with record colecting under one roof. Greedy greedy dealers and numbnuts willing to pay. Record collecting should be about the music, not about pressings and countries!
Is it just me, or do these two seem a bit clueless??
japan press suck .better more euro press ,german and us man
