I’m always curious if members of bands go out of their way to collect their own records. I created a small independent run of pressings for an EP I created which was mainly given to family and friends so it’s one of my own most cherished records. I would think that the band would like to own test pressings or copies of their own work.

As a huge Sabbath fan and someone who was lucky enough to tour with them in the 90’s I started trying to collect all things vinyl Sabbath some time ago but gave up fairly quickly as the rarity and prices made it impossible to compete with folks with deep pockets. Kudos on a sick collection! I’m jealous as fuck!!! 🔥

Yeah, I don’t collect music for that purpose to have every variation. I can understand why others do it but I couldn’t. I buy records because I love the music first then I’ll get the original press. In that order.

These videos bring back memories, but I was doing this 30 years ago when there were more shops and the records were cheaper and more available. Tudor Lodge and Fairfield Parlour were the kind of Redford that weren’t that hard to find. Now stuff like Billy Nichols ‘Would You Believe?’ and the Arzachel albums were the kind of records I was after and luckily found most of my wants from back then including the Billy Nichols which I paid £250 for in 1985 which was a lot of money back then. Can you imagine trying to find a copy of that now?….

You probably would able to fit this on a regular 12" record player. Just the bits over 12" would be sticking out. Though also depends if there is anything else on the record player blocking the extra inches

Duuudee that’s pretty cool’s the other day I saw another one of your YT shorts videos and it was the Venezuelan master of reality w the red letters. Now this I think is the last album but a single hit 7” from japan, which is very uncommon.

I really like the two Gracious albums....but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I think that they only had those two albums in them and the end probably came at the right time. Rather than live in dreamland as to what might have been, I'm just glad that they managed 2 albums and that I have them and am able to enjoy them until I die.

John Cann was only with Thin Lizzy for a few gigs, definitely not a year as stated.

That is a good price! I have all Scott ‘s Phillips albums, most I’ve picked up from charity shops and car boot sales over 40 years, for a couple of quid a pop….

Is that album he gave you Alexis Korner with Bob Brunning - who I think played withe early Fleetwood Mac? I've seen the album before. ( just looked it up actually: Alex Korner's Blues Incorporated - R&B From The Marque. Although it doesn't mention Bob Brunning on bass!). Best blues in my book: Lightnin' Hopkins, Son House and Big Bill Broonzy, especially the later works. That's a whole new collecting adventure on it's own. Love the vid's, keep up the great work, hope to have a chat one day.
