Hey Ben. I've just upgraded from my old D3300 !!!! I couldn't quite afford the 850 or Z9 ! LOL ! I WISH !!! So I went with a used D810 with 4k count. Pick it up Friday and can't wait. Probs a little overkill for toy photography but hey those xtra pixels will come in handy for blowing up prints. Great vid. 👍🏽
Just bought a Nikon 810 today with a 17-35mm lens for interior real estate photography. I'll get another lens 28-70mm in the future. Long time owner of Nikon cameras and lens. Although Z mirrorless bodies are available I'm finding I have more lens choices with the 810. Picked it up for $750 - hope I can look back on this moment and think that I made a good choice.
Hope you really enjoy it, it’s a phenomenal camera… since recording though I did have an accident with it and it’s been replaced with the D850, but there isn’t much more difference between the two. 👍
Love my used D810. I did send it in to Nikon to get the focus realigned because the focus fine tune corrections were too close to the 50 mark for my lenses. The D810 has a strong screw drive motor so you can use the screw drive telephotos with confidence. The contrast of the larger FX sensor over the DX cameras is noticeable.
I purchased a factory refurbished D810 from adorama. It was indistinguishable from brand new except for the box. It came in a plain box instead of the glossy printed boxes that the new cameras come in. But I’m not kidding when I say it was otherwise like a new camera. The cosmetic condition was perfect. The operation was perfect. It came with all the little extra attachment thingy’s that the new cameras came with. I’d also like to add that I have purchased other factory refurbished Nikon equipment and had the same experience with all of those as well. If it is truly factory refurbished they do a very very good job. I have had experience with Amazon labeling something as factory refurbished, and it clearly wasn’t. The Nikon factory refurbished products will come with a 90 day warranty card.
@@iambawe_grey it was “Factory Refurbished”. If you are looking in the used department, the best is OB (open box) or D (demo). But a camera the age of the D810 is not likely to be OB or D. So look for E+ or E. Even E- is probably okay. I found mine by searching for “Refurbished D810”. I just did a search on “Refurbished Nikon DSLR” on Adorama, and found 1 D850 at about $2800, a D7500 at about $1000, and a D780 at about $2200. Be careful about Amazon. Cameras that just say “refurbished”, are not necessarily factory refurbished. The D850 is probably the best camera Nikon ever made. But still expense, even used. I love the D810.
JUUUUUST BEFORE you showed your "personal favourite" I was thinking, nice but I wish he had positioned himself with more of the foliage/flowers in the foreground! Then, BOOM! Very good!
It's a nice bridge. Think you must be local to me. I keep saying I was going to go back to shoot the bridges again. I got the opening fireworks ot the gateway
Nice video about your photography, but you were 9 minutes in before you really mentioned the D810, and then it seemed to be in passing. Not complaining, just observing. I was hoping for some more thorough insights on the camera.

I cant believe it's been a year since I shot this, a 12 month review is well overdue.
Just bought a d810 with only 8K clicks on it. Thanks for the video, quite inspirational.
Oh wow, enjoy Alex, certainly hope you like it and raise that shutter count up massively! All the best. 👍

Sorry Paul, I must have missed this. Oh wow, you’ll love it mate, it’s an amazing camera and well worth it. 4k is nothing for it either. 👍
Absolute beast of the camera. I use it day in and out and it's been 3 years. It never failed me. Honest videos like these matter. Thank you
Thank you so much, yeah absolutely love mine, although I almost destroyed it a couple of weeks ago (2nd to last vlog explains) but it bounced back.
Great video Ben. Super colors, loved your favorite. Nice location, the bridge shots were great. Thanks keep up the good work.

It's a pretty cool location on the right weather conditions. I was working on that night but would loved to have been able to see them.
nice video ..if you go back on a big tide you will get that ship wreck sticking out the water

Good image quality but too bulky and slow for my liking. Best suited for portraits and studio work IMO.
Agreed a great camera
The D810 is a brilliant camera
Nice job of the video! The music was awesome also, I would love to know who that artist was!!

I didn't have to watch a second to say, of course it is!
