I like Nick's representation of what to do to survive. It is like Joel from the last of us. They both know that you have to leave the past and not bring it up to survive.
Is there any ending where Nick isn't upset? x'D I went the peaceful way and he seemed mad that I was letting DiMA get away with his crime... WHAT DO YOU WANT NICK? I ONLY WANT TO MAKE YOU HAPPY. FUCK!
To be fair, there's no good ending for Nick here. He either learns he has a brother who protected him and then loses him just as fast, or he learns that his brother is a manipulative murderer that Nick lets get away with several crimes against humanity despite his personality literally being a police detective. He's gonna be sore either way. I chose the Dima faces justice ending, because both Nick and I knew it was the right thing to do. Yes, Nick is now down one brother, but he can hold his head high that Dima sacrificed himself for the safety of those under his charge. That's the mark of a true leader; and Nick can be proud of him.
I traveled with DiMA to Far Harbor with hopes that upon his confession, I could shield him from the resident's retribution. I had come to care for him and I wanted to see him return to his people in Acadia. Despite my best efforts, I failed . . . and I watched them execute him. I had to take a moment to let the outcome sink in. I walked to the end of the dock and stared out at the storm rolling over the sea. I kept it together for the most part. Or at least I thought. It wasn't until I talked to Nick and he said "it hurts" did I simply break down and cry. Goddamn it, Bethesda.
Honestly I wasnt surprised if it would of happen. I had to take a minute to choose because I didn't know what would happen but I kept the secret. I figured new Vegas rules applied in this situation
Poor Nick. He's always been my favorite (MacCready is a close second. When I found out there's no romance for Nick I romanced MacCready instead). It hurt to see him so sad. And seeing him get annoyed at the sarcasm option...damn. I can imagine that remark stung. Funny how the character that isn't a human is actually more human than most of the humans.
Damn... The first time I saw this, I won't lie, I cried. Even now, this always brings tears to my eyes. Nick doesn't deserve this. And the way he flat-out tells you he won't be alright... ouch.
I'm deeply sad about this guy that I barely knew but said he was my brother even though I have no past memories or ties to him and I only spoke a few sentences to...
I went for this option first because I thought DiMA needed to face justice ... but after I heard these responses I couldn't go through with it. It hurt Nick too much. So it's selfish but I went with another option. JUST LET ME HUG THE ROBOT BETHESDA.
Nick is like the sole survivors dad, he/she says something sarcastic usually he keeps his cool and comes back with something to 1up you, but this time it hits him too hard and he lashes out, even better is how almost everyone mentions how it hurts them when he lashes out, vest character in my opinion
My version of ending this DLC was sticking the self-destruct code into the Children of Atom submarine practically over the shoulder of their leader, panicking, running out the hatch, falling off of the submarine and into the giant pit of radioactive goop. Still managed to escape before the nuke went off. I was very drunk at the time.
Y’know Nick is seriously hurt when you choose the sarcasm option and he responds with anger instead or more sarcasm… I truly feel so bad for him, sure DiMa was not exactly a good person, but that was still Nick’s family and he had to watch him get shot in the head…
I really am tired of how Bethesda handles certain scenes. Scenes that are supposed to be gripping & emotional, just turn into "whatever" moments. This rates up there, right along with finding your son.
Nick is my favorite character to use the sarcastic option on. This DLC was like the straw that broke the camel’s back for nick if you used the sarcastic option every time on him. He just doesn’t want to be bothered by you anymore lol
+TheSpartanCV I found if you have nick and switch him with Longfellow he says something maybe try that but with other followers Also when I had dogmeat Longfellow said something I think I'll test that now
Honestly the best reaction to anything you say in this game has to be here. Nick telling you to shut the hell up with the sarcastic option is the best hands down. No one really ever tells you to shut up like this.
I always curious... how DiMA produce 3rd gen synth in his hideout???????? and if he can produce 3rd gen Synth why can't he patch himself up??? I mean all the exposed skeleton and component....
thegreatMSG DiMA actually just does facial reconstruction and gives new memories to one of the synths taking refuge in Acadia, he doesn't make any new synths.
This is like one of the few sarcastic dialouge options Nick responds to with disgust/offense, and damn if he didn't roast us as hard as he roasts others.
+Quynh Chi Nguyen I managed to get peaced with all sides. Peace is the route I always take first, except with Kellog of course cause that was personal.
True best ending is blackmailing Avery, keeping Dima's secret, nuking the Children which then allows you to send Kasumi back home then finally rolling into Arcadia with the BOS.
True best ending is telling Avery she's a synth, keep the secret from Far Harbor, replace the the high confessor with a synth and piece between the three factions.
Why the hell would you care about peace between them? The people of Far Harbor are all dicks Arcadia is a bunch of robots And the children of atom are insane
You essentially kill far harbour cause the synths were the only ones who knew how to build and repair fog condensers and now the secret is lost (especially with sending the B.O.S, they'd probably destroy any fog condenser tech because it uses advanced scientific principle). Atom salutes you, even if you did destroy part of his cult. You still did his mission
Using the very same tactics and rationalization made the institute infamous.. and yet it makes Dima an advocate of peace. Sure, Dima's peace. Dima fooled you all.
gonkraider I think the difference is Dima didn't do it on a whim, he was desperate, and he clearly feels a lot of pain and torment over the fact, he KNOWS what he did and why its wrong, the institute... They don't, they just casual about it like a bunch of sociopaths that don't care much about who they hurt in their experiments. That's the difference I think.
Exe Lior This problem could be solved if there was a mid way. BoS are a bunch of nazi idiots like “I don’t know that so I shoot preventively”, enter the Institute = headshot Father and every synth without giving chance to speak, see DiMa = headshot. The Railroads don’t really know what’s a Synth, it’s a robot, every emotion is a consequence of his inducted memories, nothing real. The only 2 synths that aren’t like this, because of their completely indipendent thinking, are Nick and DiMa, but DiMa is a murder, and he deserves his faith. I think the only synth that deserves to be treated like a human and not to be killed for murder obviously is Nick. The Institute like you said is a the house of a bunch of sociopaths, but they’re the online hope for the Commonwealth. Who could if not the Institute? The Minutemen? They’re like a bunch of Buzz Lightyear saving the universe or something like that. Not that realistic. If I could choose for real I would choose the Institute anyway, but I would choose to change it in a better way
casey So a bunch of cowboys who made into the Institute by pure luck are the only chance? The Institute is technologically advanced, has its society and can actually save the Commonwealth. Your comment doesn’t make sense, those cowboys are better than a giant laboratory? They can do anything they want! Make humans, create every kind of machine, if they wanted they could help all the people, but they aren’t gonna do it, too much problems, not worth it, some people will suffer, they’re business, it’s the price to pay for a brighter future
@@TestohZuppa sure saving the Commonwealth like when they released Supermutants into the wasteland, kidnapped innocents to experiment on, destroyed the only chance to make a government and sent their synths to plunder settlements and kill civilians
@@DrNefarious-rw1dm They don’t actually care about the Commonwealth that you mean. Fuck civilians and everything else, they want the best technological future, they can do everything. For sure they did shit in the past, but with the Sole Survivor as the new headmaster the Commonwealth will live on with a strong and right man/woman guiding it. The Institute wanted to over control, but with more order and justice it will be better for sure

That was a quick fucking execution damn
They was like "ay Man U gon die" then in the next milisecond they kill him lmao
I expect more shot to kill a synth DiMA proved me wrong
The emotion Nick displayed here was absolutely fantastic. Great job, Bethesda.
Wow nick throwing some mad heat at you. Gunna take that from a synth?
We'll take it from Nick.
I'll get Maxon to kick his synthetic ass AD VICTORIAM!
+Dragonborn01 hell yeah , ad victoriam !
+Dragonborn01 Maxson would get rekt dude, Nick's been levelling his Stamina, Health and Strength.
"Murder is wrong. For your crime, we hearby sentence you to state sanctioned murder."
Damn... The first time I saw this, I won't lie, I cried. Even now, this always brings tears to my eyes. Nick doesn't deserve this. And the way he flat-out tells you he won't be alright... ouch.
Nick is more human than anyone else in the entire game
I'm deeply sad about this guy that I barely knew but said he was my brother even though I have no past memories or ties to him and I only spoke a few sentences to...
I went for this option first because I thought DiMA needed to face justice ... but after I heard these responses I couldn't go through with it. It hurt Nick too much. So it's selfish but I went with another option.
JUST LET ME HUG THE ROBOT BETHESDA.
I did the peaceful option saved, and then killed them all
I had to go back because It hurt me to hear dima so apologetic
That comeback to Allen..
Later on That Horrific Comeback from nick XD
2:03 that was the perfect chance for Bethesda to put: *Nick Liked That*
I'm not just making a joke
Nick is like the sole survivors dad, he/she says something sarcastic usually he keeps his cool and comes back with something to 1up you, but this time it hits him too hard and he lashes out, even better is how almost everyone mentions how it hurts them when he lashes out, vest character in my opinion
It hurts hearing Nick say that he isn't going to be okay.
The Fog... It's Dangerous, OK?
Lol
The Fog. Not even once.
I can definitely agree with fog being dangerous...
I love this DLC your actions actually matter.
They conversations are also cool.
Nick is still savage though.
*convince Allen he's the synth*
The only reason I never considered Killing DiMA was because of Nick.
DiMA also looks dope af
Holy necro Batman
I remember playing this and I really liked dima, this quest is a very ethically concerning, good thing you can make them all live in piece
That just made me very sad :-(
this is definitely a 'traumatize-nick' playthru. make him experience the death of a loved one ('again'). could you make him even more tragic? brutal
I always think it's funny to be sarcastic to Nick, but this time it just hurt to hear him so annoyed by you and your constant comebacks
Melancholic scene: exists
DiMa goddam rag doll: I'm bouta end this mans whole career
My version of ending this DLC was sticking the self-destruct code into the Children of Atom submarine practically over the shoulder of their leader, panicking, running out the hatch, falling off of the submarine and into the giant pit of radioactive goop. Still managed to escape before the nuke went off.
I was very drunk at the time.
Wish we have an option to both replace Tektus and confront DiMA. Feels more right that way instead of what we have rn.
“Why don’t you just shut the hell up for once?” That *hurt* Nick. That really hurt. It’s probably because he’s right.
Y’know Nick is seriously hurt when you choose the sarcasm option and he responds with anger instead or more sarcasm… I truly feel so bad for him, sure DiMa was not exactly a good person, but that was still Nick’s family and he had to watch him get shot in the head…
Nick is my favorite companion ever! He has the best voice actor that really puts it all into it
I really am tired of how Bethesda handles certain scenes.
Will you be making videos on the new Witcher 3 expansion? :D
Yup
FluffyNinjaLlama you are doing the work of the Nine Divines
+Fr0st1989 she is a Divine, afterall.
(Cough) eight (cough cough)
Patrick Harrison begone Thalmor trash
Nick is so deep for a game character, they did a good job on this one
Fluffy fluffy will you take all companions to far harbour to see how they react
Yeah, I want to see Deacon's reaction to all this since he's right after Nick with relating to synths.
+Blunderbuss09 I killed decan :(
Did they add new dialogue for them? They may not even say anything.
+Heiße Henry we have to see
+TheSpartanCV I found if you have nick and switch him with Longfellow he says something maybe try that but with other followers
Also when I had dogmeat Longfellow said something I think
I'll test that now
remember kids the fog is dangerous....
Da fawg is dangerous
Best ending ever. "The fog, it's dangerous. Okay?"
looks like fluffy just got roasted by nick
that's my reaction too
Should have had a hug option in this game
Honestly the best reaction to anything you say in this game has to be here. Nick telling you to shut the hell up with the sarcastic option is the best hands down. No one really ever tells you to shut up like this.
The irony, the synth who DiMA replaced kills him.
Mitch is the one who kills DiMA, not Avery.
I always curious... how DiMA produce 3rd gen synth in his hideout???????? and if he can produce 3rd gen Synth why can't he patch himself up??? I mean all the exposed skeleton and component....
thegreatMSG DiMA actually just does facial reconstruction and gives new memories to one of the synths taking refuge in Acadia, he doesn't make any new synths.
so happy that i've kept DiMas secret. he is a good guy
He's a bad guy who deleted the bad memories, that doesn't make him good. It just makes him a smart murderer.
+Obviously Him And yet he was still caught.
He had good intentions hes just executed them badly
+VC So did Karl Marx.
From what I understand Avery's execution was perfect
Thank you for putting the spoiler tag, I don't even get to play Far Harbor till tonight so I'm glad you did this, thanks Fluffy
I like how it says "spoilers" in the title...the thumbnail and the title already spoiled enough without me even watching the video smh...
a Person ikr
I remember this interaction and quite honestly I wanted to give Nick a hug after saying sorry to Nick for what happened with Dima
"Why don't you just shut the hell up for once?" DAMNNNN NICK!
This is like one of the few sarcastic dialouge options Nick responds to with disgust/offense, and damn if he didn't roast us as hard as he roasts others.
0:32 There is an impostor among us
He didn't even get fully on his knees before they shot him. Damn
excuse me fluffy? did you try the "DiMA is Innocent" speech check? just asking
Because I like Nick's answer better for the yellow one, and the outcome is exactly the same.
Edit: SOSU's answer is better too :)
FluffyNinjaLlama oh ok thanks for the reply appreciate the answer fluffy
+FluffyNinjaLlama did u try x6? does he have any dialog?
So there is no way DiMA can be saved if we chose this path?
+Quynh Chi Nguyen I managed to get peaced with all sides. Peace is the route I always take first, except with Kellog of course cause that was personal.
Aw man, poor Nick. But hey, good for him for countering the sole survivor's sarcasm like he did.
Shouldn't DiMA have like, 40 synth components?
I screamed in delight when i heard that the player can tell Allen to shut up
True best ending is blackmailing Avery, keeping Dima's secret, nuking the Children which then allows you to send Kasumi back home then finally rolling into Arcadia with the BOS.
Lol I actually did the exact same thing
True best ending is telling Avery she's a synth, keep the secret from Far Harbor, replace the the high confessor with a synth and piece between the three factions.
Why the hell would you care about peace between them?
The people of Far Harbor are all dicks
Arcadia is a bunch of robots
And the children of atom are insane
People like to virtue signal, and advocating for sythic human robot rights is the fallout 4 version of "Stunning and brave"
And once again Nick proves he is the best and most well-written character in Fallout 4
The Institute is technologically advanced, has its society and
can actually save the Commonwealth.
He sounds like Kevin Spacey, which makes him even creepier now.
Nick seeing my dead spouse: “oh I’m sorry this is sad”
Me when nick loses the only thing remotely close to family to him: “hahahaha lmao last prototype synth loser”
