Finally this misrepresented creature gets its own figure. So, except for the first spike of the sail, this is the most accurate image we have? Although Im also tired of the same colour variants, this time both green and brown matches the animal in my opinion (something i cannot say about the rest of this brand offerings)
Besides the first spike, it is also the sail that according to current belief by _many_ people, that should be a full one. I talk about that in Part 2 of the review. Taken in and of themselves, the HLG models definitely are VERY good! Paint applications can hardly be faulted. So enjoy it if you like it! 😁
Must admit I'm getting a bit bored of Haolonggood re-using paint apps, like you pointed out with the green variant, and the orange tail tip which is a feature on most of their models, I fear the colour schemes are gonna start becoming very repetitive like PNSO
I frankly don't understand it. Surely they themselves know it, and they have given us rather different pattens and paints before. In and of itself, these are nice, but when you have them on the shelf, it really hits you.
Unfortunately not 100% accurate for us accuracy freaks, but in my opinion this is the best Amarga on the mass market. Should be receiving my brown one any day now!
I think you will like it! I have noticed that many HLG models recently look better in hand than the release images. And it's always nice when we feel something isn't the most accurate according to current thought, but we can still enjoy it for what it is. Good on you!
Hahah exactly! That's the kind of possibilities that a good pose gives you... plenty of imagination! I saw it as two dinosaurs engaged in necking, not in the fight sense, but in the courtship sense! If I weren't short of space and money I would have bought another one just to recreate that scene.
I don't have any preference, just something away from their repetitive colour schemes. Also something not extensively blue, as much as I like the colour. HLG has done different schemes before.
Even though that muscle ridge running through the spine looks strong and bulky, the neck is too thin to carry all the weight. As always, green and brown are Haolonggoods generic colors. I think I like the brown version. And if you ask me what my favorite Amargasaurus figure is, I will say that PNSO one (even though I don't have it). That figure is so damn gorgeous and one of my dream figures to have. It's sad that most of these figure companies ignore Rebbachisaurids. In the Rebbachisauridae family, I think we don't have a single well-made figure, and it's so sad that none of these companies even look at them. If I'm not mistaken, we only have that hideous-looking Rebbachisaurus and not that bad Nigersaurus. That's it. So hopefully, we will get some more figures soon. And it seems like you need a new almond, my dear sir.🤣😂 Thank you so much for this wonderful review. I am excited to see your next video. You are the best. 🖤🖤
Wow times flies by so quickly, and I am way late on videos and comments lol. I think rebbachisaurids suffer from being too 'ordinary' looking for the general public. So it's not likely to sell well except to the most ardent of sauropod fans. Still. I am hoping for an updated Nigersaurus. By "hideos-looking Rebbachisaurus" I am guessing you mean the CollectA one? 🤣 Yes I need a new almond. Unfortunately, I realised only too late that my almond was damaged, so my next review will be of the almond.
Lovely model, not sure about the neck spikes without a proper full sail though (haven't watched the full video, only one forth in, waiting for your explanation of the realism of it) Edit: Got it! So this model is technically incorrect? That's interesting, but why did HLG decide to make one that isn't quote unquote incorrect? Confused, but it doesn't take away how amazing this model is!
Well the thing is, palaeontology is always evolving. It's cool to see what is the latest idea, while understanding some may not believe in it. I can't say this is _technically_ incorrect or correct, but based on just the Cerda et al 2022 paper, this does not follow that interpretation. I don't know when HLG started planning this one, but given that the Cerda et al 2022 paper came out 2y ago, it's either they didn't believe in the idea, or they didn't know of it. I find it hard to believe though. There are many Chinese fans who know about the latest ideas about the structure, so I would think the information is freely available. Sometimes, too, there may be aesthetic choices made as well.
Actually it does look very good, as long as you are ok that the sail isn't full, and that you don't already have other HLG models in the same colour scheme! 😅
I really hope we get a Brachytrachelopan figure soon
Yes for sure! And in real 1:35 please!! I've been wanting one for the longest time.

Please Giraffititan or Brachiosaurus Next please,Haolonggood but another amazing review as always
So you would like them to clear _three_ sauropods in a row? 😁 They are my favourite clade, but I would hope for a break. My wallet needs it!
Overall a wonderful sculpt, but I agree with you that the paint job could have been a little better. I am now aiming for the Camarasaurus.
That's coming up next, and I think the colours in both variants look pretty good! We'll have to see when we get it in hand!
@@DinosDragons I wonder what the Camarasaurus will be priced at
Camarasaurus next.
Indeed!
Looks like my wish for an accurate Amarga continues :P
Too bad too, I love the pose! Looks like he's trying to impress a girl

What color would you have preferred instead?
I don't have any preference, just something away from their repetitive colour schemes. Also something not extensively blue, as much as I like the colour. HLG has done different schemes before.

Can you review apatosaurus from haolonggood?
He did several months ago.
It's video 244. I am surprised no one has done a good Spiclypeus.
@@DinosDragons tell me about it.
no comparisons? that's strange 😕
nice video nonetheless, thank you
That's in part 2, coming soon!
A nice outing, but for me, not one of Haolonggood’s best. I think I’ll save my space and money for their Camarasaurus.
That's coming up soon! But if I had limited space too, Camarasaurus would be my choice!
고민된다 그닥 끌리지는않는데 괜찮아보인다
