Great review again. People might not know it's named and scaled to argentinosaurus if we're sticking to 1:35 but this model is only possible thanks to mainly the patagotitan fossils providing a fairly accurate body plan and proportions for the mega sized titanosaurs. How did she earn the title of figure of the year? Apart from the size and the great price, nothing stands out. And many Haolonggood figurines have the same detail. And the embassy has even better detail.
@@player21099 When you put out the largest mass produced 1:35 dinosaur on the market and make it look this good you get props. I have been highly critical of Haolonggood in the past. @dericplummer9272 Kamarasaurus haolonggood looks great. And his oblique eyes are only isolated instances. My camarasaurus has normal eyes. Kamarasaurus pnso looks like an astrologer and has bad teeth coloring, it is also very fat and expensive, and kamarasaurus safari is worse than both of these. In general, there is not much difference in detail between such haolonggood dinosaurs as kamarasaurus, mamenchisaurus and Argentinosaurus. From what I see, the whole texture is exactly the same.
@@player21099 to each their own. I find the pnso camarasaurus leagues better than the haolonggood. Besides the wonkiness of the head the pose just looks boring. Not sure what you mean by the astronomer comment. I just find this figure an improvement on pretty much every issue I have had with haolonggood figures in the past and truly puts it on a level playing field with the best pnso figures.
@dericplummer9272 I am sure for people who love more naturalistic paint applications, this one will certainly do the job! Nothing crazy loud and gaudy, and it's so dark and forbidding. I'm glad you like it. It definitely is a dream for many people especially those who have wanted a huge 1:35 sauropod for years and years!
Absolutamente bestial.
I was so sure about the purple, but this one is beautiful and was my second choice. Difficult decision. I really like the way they incorporated the orangish color on the back, incredible design. I got the brown version of the HLG mamenchisaurus and I was blown away! I generally prefer the darker dinosaur colors, but I think I’ll go with the purple. It’s the first time for me the colorful version isn’t very over the top and incorporates an amount of color variation that seems more possible for such a massive creature, to me at least. Hoping to get mine in the U.S. before any potential tariffs🤞🏼 Better grab the remaining figures I want before they become unobtainable due to a price increase🥲
The thing is, if HLG keeps to its history, whichever colour you choose, you are likely to actually like it. I think I wasted far too much time on deciding which colour to get, and irritatingly HLG didn't give us good photos so it made that decision a lot harder. The most important thing is whether you like it 😊 From what I've seen of the purple, it is certainly painted very well! I think you'll be surprised by the colour complexity as well. I am sure the tariffs won't come in so quickly! There is a time lag between actual stepping into office, proposal, ratification, and so on. you have time!
Man those playing cards are awesome 😍 I really hope the Huayangosaurus becomes available to buy seperately cause I'll never be able to afford the Argentinosaurus
How did you get your so fast? I will get mine tomorrow, the green limited edition one. Hope it turns out to be good. It seems that HLG still cannot match PNSO in sculpt detail and artistic flare. They can't even sculpt fine teeth. Looking at the PNSO camarasaurus teeth is amazing in comparison. However, HLG still beat PNSO in term of risk taking and knowing what many of us are waiting for: 1:35 sauropods. Seems like their bet will be rewarded. I hope someday, PNSO will surprise us with 1:35 titanosaurus of this size and probably cost almost double of this one.
Oh because I got this HLG 129 and 000 which were released first. The green one and the 130 apparently came in a later shipment, and I believe that many have arrived today. You should be getting yours very very soon! I am sure it will look fantastic in hand! 😍 I think PNSO might do 1:35 but I don't see how they would ship it to the West, especially with the US trade tariffs looming. Our Western friends may have yet another impediment to enjoying these wonderful products.
@@DinosDragons well, just the US not the entire west. They can buy from western toy company while the rest of the world can buy better things, not just toys. That's the ugly side of protectionist policy. Its always the people suffering.
I wondered about the size of the head, as well. Seemed a tad enlarged but I’m no expert. The price tag with shipping might scare off a lot of potential purchases but I know I need at least two of the color variants. Just…one a month🙂
I was also going through this roller coaster of choosing a paint variant among all these differently looking photos and videos on various social media with none of them matching the promotional images. This is an impressive model and after all is said and done it is the sculpt and texture that matters most. One can always get a repaint. But from what I have seen so far when it comes to in hand pictures, this blue-gray version and the green-gray one look the best. I like that the eyes look very realistic on this one and are much improved compared to some earlier Haolonggood sauropods. I would have preferred though that they had modeled the teeth better. They should have just done this as a row of unseparated teeth like W-Dragon did this for the Giraffatitan, modeling this way the tooth rakes of sauropods. Furthermore, I hope that this was the last time that Haolonggood has been running a pre-order campaign. I understand that with the pre-orders they minimize the economic risks of producing such a large figure. This is a major investment and they certainly would want to reach the break even point as soon as possible. But as it appears the Argentinosaurus is selling very well and is a big success, so they can produce anything smaller without having to go for the pre-order.
I find it hard to understand why it seems so difficult to show us pictures of all four variants in the same light from the side. I went through more decision-changes over this model than I have in the last two years I am sure! I was puzzled about the teeth. It does seem like a deliberate choice. It's a pity because the teeth are really nicely painted. But as you noted, the eyes are much improved. What did you mean about hoping this is the last time HLG will run pre-order campaign? How are collectors in the West affected? Or were you specifically referring to the Huayangosaurus as an an exclusive for the pre-order?
@@DinosDragons What I mean with pre-order is that you have to order a figure before it is released. Normally a figure is released and shortly after first high-quality in hand pictures emerge on websites of stores like Lana Time Shop and on social media and one can make an informed decision about which version to get (if any). This gives also a good idea about how much the final paint application deviates from the promotional images. Unfortunately Haolonggood has now for the second time (Alamosaurus and Argentinosaurus) forced us to buy the cat in a poke. They should not do this again. The issue of the Huayangosaurus being exclusive to pre-orders of Argentinosaurus is not a great idea but does not concern me too much. I doubt that anyone would purchase the Argentinosaurus just to get the Huayangosaurus.
The shoulder hights of the patagotintans specimen in an scientific article where 5,39m at maximum. I don't find how high maximo was mounted. 28ft is his head mounted. However the overall posture and body construction is very horizontal. The models and pictures of the largest titanosaurs in Tv and internet are more up right. Like this model, with massive necks. The Haolonggood has a shoulder hight of 7m and a hip hight of 5,25m If the human 1/35 is a 175cm person. The hight of the human at the hind leg at the knee is also equal to mounted skeletons. What i want to say is the the mounted maximo is more the shape of Ademar's Patago and Argentino. The skeleton mounted in the Fernbank museum of Atlanta higher is more the shape of Haolonggood or other pictures of the largest titanosaus on the internet.
Thank you for your observations! Unfortunately I can't remember which video it was (I believe it may have been the PNSO Mamenchisaurus one, and/ or was it the Ademar Patagotitan one?) where I touched a bit on the differences in proportions that might arise from factors such as plantigrade or digitigrade foot posture, as well as how high the scapula sits on the rib cage, and also various limb angles. There are quite a lot of variety, but Dr Scott Hartman has told me that he believed that the macronarian bauplan seems to have been more common, compared to when I was a boy and it seemed to be the more 'unusual' one. And yes, that 1:35 is based off a 1.75m human.
I dont want to see it coz the more I see it the more I want to get it but I don't know after collecting money when it will be available in India. But if it's available here then one day I must fulllfill my dream by having one of these gigantic haolonggood argentinosaurus
Hahahaha this is going to be really a challenge. But I wonder if shipping to India from China would be expensive considering you're relatively close. By the way, wouldn't you be excited if they ever found a good specimen of Bruhathkayosaurus!
Haha yes I did. When I saw the photos come out on Chinese social media, I decided to get out of the purple. I am sure it will still look great in hand, but I just couldn't get over those orange streaks.
@@DinosDragons good thing you didn't get the purple one. From what I saw from recent social media post, the color is very artificial with the white streaks on the head and body.
@@DinosDragons Same here! Though I am personally waiting for more pictures of 131 (dark green 異色版) before making a final decision. Someone posted a copy of 131 in hand and it looks much nicer than the prototype imo with a vibrant orange throat/neck. 130 (mottled brown) on the other hand just looks like a lesser unfinished version of 001 (purple).
I think very fragmentary genera have lost popularity with many collectors who are getting jaded by exciting claims that end up overblown, or models that become obsolete with any new discovery 😅
So after re-watching this review is it safe to say that the two scientific inaccuracies are just the head being too big and the kink in the tail not being present? If so, how serious of an inaccuracy are these
To be honest, the overall happiness I have is more important to me. So these can be overlooked. There's some who might say, for example, that perhaps that different sauropods might have slightly different angulations at the sacrocaudal joint, perhaps some soft tissue hides it, etc. Some people might think that the head look all right, and since so many of these titanosaurs are missing heads, unless you already have an idea in mind, perhaps it is not that important. I would say if you asked me are these serious enough to me that I would say no to buying them, the way I would if Carnotaurus' arms and fingers were wrong, such as in the 2019 Wild Safari, my answer is definitely no! This model is so good in all other areas that I can enjoy it without letting these two things bother me.
A lot depends on how much they sell for this one. If they at least break even, but then this generates a lot of goodwill and publicity for them, they might again. I hope that they gives us a basic brachiosaurid or Diplodocus first though!
I'm disappointed. Huayangosaurus cannot be bought separately and this Argentinosaurus is too huge to fit on my shelf. Maybe it would be better to make 2 scales to choose from instead of 4 colors.
I think it would not be possible, as the mould is the one that is going to cost a lot of money. While paint applications can be tweaked more easily. Once you make a mould you're stuck with it. ☹
As i expected, the price for my country, shipping included, is completely absurd. On AliExpress, it goes from 455 to more than 500 hundred euros (or 600 hundred, i don't really care to confirm). Thing is, for people outside China, this is reserved for a few wealthy ones. Wich goes against the spirit claimed by Haolonggood, for accessible figures. There are ways to make these figures more accessible, like the rebor Diplodocus and hollow figures. Well, like the Era Terra Patagotitan, wich i own, and it costed me like a third of the price, despite not being a mass produced figure, and with shipping and customs included (from Brazil to Portugal). And with a paint scheme chosen by me. That's my giant Titanosaur, wich represents those magnificent animals. Don't need that ridiculously expensive chunk of plastic. Thank God...
wow that's crazy price. Shipping is free here in China, just need to pay for the model price. The problem is that they don't have a good distributor around where you live. Maybe you can get individuals who specialized in transporting goods from China to your country. I know there are dealers that do foreign purchases and transport the goods for their customers. The price of this model is only slightly over 150 euros or something like that. It should not cost 500 euros with shipping. That is a scam.
The model itself is really good, but if it is going to cost so much with shipping, _and_ you already have Era Terra's Patagotitan, then you don't need this one. In fact, I would say that most people, unless they are sauropod/ titanosaur-mad like me, really would be happy with just one major representative of the biggest of the biggest, and that's generally accepted to be either Argentinosaurus or Patagotitan.
That's great, especially if it's for air! Even by sea, these days I believe they add just a few weeks unlike the old days when I was a boy, which would be months!

@dericplummer9272
I am sure for people who love more naturalistic paint applications, this one will certainly do the job!
NICE!!!
did you get it from Lana Time?
My HGL130 is soon on the way i hope. (warungforza)
No I get mine from my supplier in China. 130 looks promising... I hope you'll like the in-hand model. THIS I can guarantee belongs on your channel!
Man those playing cards are awesome 😍 I really hope the Huayangosaurus becomes available to buy seperately cause I'll never be able to afford the Argentinosaurus
I hope so too! It's a nice little model!
I think PNSO might do 1:35 but I don't see how they would ship it to the West, especially with the US trade tariffs looming.
I bow to the power of your dedication and the strength of your wallet! 🙌
Heeeelll yeaah! And I made the right color choice. 😍😍
I'm sure the rest will look good too if HLG follows its usual standards! But I am sure happy with this one if I can get only one!
In my opinion haolonggood is the best 👌 👍 😍 🥰 ☺️ gigantic sauropod maker in the world
There can be no argument that if you want 1:35 sauropods, HLG is the choice! 😁
와 굉장한 녀석이다 도색도 단순하지만 훌륭하다 나는 너무 커서 포기했는데 아쉽다 ㅠ
Yeah, not only is it too big for some shelves, it will be too _HEAVY_ and that is the real disadvantage of this monster!
The Haolonggood has a shoulder hight of 7m and a hip hight of 5,25m
If the human 1/35 is a 175cm person.
Absolutely gorgeous
Absolutely without a doubt!
Ah, you picked 129 in the end afterall! Good choice.
Now they need to make an Ichthyotitan severnensis in 1/35 scale!
I think very fragmentary genera have lost popularity with many collectors who are getting jaded by exciting claims that end up overblown, or models that become obsolete with any new discovery 😅
Cant even make it small by scaling it down!
🤣🤣🤣
Do u think haolonggood would make such gigantic sauropods in future 😮
@DinosDragons Why? Diabloceratops, hasmosaurus, cosmoceratops and saihania are sold separately, although they are smaller in size than huayngosaurus.
I need a Beast of the Mesozoic figure like this, only as big as the Mattel Brachiosaurus.
I think BOTM would have to change their usual scales for this monster! 😲
It’sss hhheeerrre!
And it sure made its presence felt! 🤣
My shipping was only 75 dollars
That's great, especially if it's for air! Even by sea, these days I believe they add just a few weeks unlike the old days when I was a boy, which would be months!
For the first video you say a bad word😮
I'm not proud of it 🤣
