I remember when this album came out. My dad bought my mom a copy. That night my mom cooked a delicious dinner, we ate and listened to this CD all night, it was great......Still love Phyllis music. It transcends time, she was one classy, regal lady......RIP Phyllis Hyman 🙏💐💕

Uncle Eric Jones is singing background. He passed away just one year after Phyllis. I was still very young, but I remember seeing him perform with the tall lady in the big hats n jewelry. Miss you, Unc!
smooth persuader . How is a question rude? Who....... told you asking a question is rude ? Did someone in your family tell you that as a child , if so , that's not true ! Now , if you want me to be rude, make sure your fucking comments makes sense ! 😠
Ambrose Andrepont because it might not be your business what he passed away from. The fact is that he passed. When you find out your answer is that going make a difference? Just asking.
smooth persuader . It's not your place to tell me that ! I did not ask you , not only that , who are you to speak or texted a stranger's response ? This person may not be as overly sensitive as you. Now, my question to you is, " WHO ARE YOU ? " Do not JUMP TO CONCLUSION ! It's not your business to respond , not unless you have slept with this person .
I know exactly how you feel. After she left us, it took a long time before I could even listen to her songs. It's still hard. So underrated and such a loss.
One of my favorites from her. I miss her sound so so much. PHYLLIS, PATTY AND DEBRA LAWS. NO ONE LIKE THE THREESOME. LOVE PHYLLIS. SO SO MUCH. TAKEN FROM US TO TO SOIN
I was locked up in 1995 when she died, I wanted to cry, but I was locked up, and had to be strong. But I got under the covers in my bunk and screamed loud in anguish and sadness.
Get on outta here! I see what everyone is talking about the entire performance and those background vocals.🙌🙌👍. My dream job would be to do background vocals in studio and on tour. She was so gifted. Her vocal talent is so pure. This is one of my favorite songs and at least my 6th time watching this😁😁. I think Phyllis may have had Graves Disease too.
I was trying to come up with the money to go to the concert in Detroit and I was like Ill just go when she comes again!!! It was not an “again” 😰😰😰 it just broke my heart!!! I miss you RIH
This woman... I'm so obsessed. Healthily and unhealthily😅. But there isn't any singer that I love more than her. She was one of a kind❤. To me, and if she lived longer, she would have been the greatest vocalist
She looked so stable, sober, and happy here. I think she was ok when she was on the road touring. She loved being on stage, but it was when she went home.
By 1991 she had attempted suicide twice officially. I think everyday might have been a challenge under those circumstances, some days good some days bad, but on the road definitely not the best place I feel. Either way, she gave it her all till she could give no more. R.I.P. Queen!
I got pissed when the male host mispronounced her last name, what a smuck. It's funny how her music continues to live on while this talk show no one's ever heard of!
I miss her so much. She should have been one of the biggest stars and most respected singers EVER. Her talent had no bounds.
I agree
She was on her way of that Status when she passed away. Life cut short.
My favorite of all time, what a beautiful & unique voice! Even her speaking voice was beautiful!

What a wonderful memory you have of that day and evening!!!
Nice memory & story!
That women mastered her instrument. She was BAD!!!!!!!!!
Phyllis so amazing and notice she breaths so properly when she sings. She knows how to use her diaphragm muscles when singing.
she died right?

When Phyllis sings someone else's song, she definitely makes it her own & her version is always better!! RIHP!
How did Clive missed the opportunity for her and Whitney Record a song together
WH was an arrogant piece of work then and definitely wouldn’t have gone near a studio with any other female that could’ve out sang or kept up with her
