Shit needs to be taken out or a new stat to credit the OLine for the TD has to exist because im sick of the "He HaS 6000 RuSh TDs so hE iS ObVIouSLy MvP!!!" argument. They could tape a football to a sex doll and still score the TD. The ravens put in a TE to run a tush push because thats how little it matters lmao theyd rather a guy not accustomed to taking snaps handle the play also to avoid injury which is Allen biggest selling point on his legacy right now. He may not be this years worthy MVP, but he is fucking ironman.

@yoursodumn almost half of his TDs are within the 5 and I believe 17 or 18 of those are from the 1. Out of like just shy of 60 TDs thats a high percentage from the 1.

Let's see who is more valuable to their team.
Allen has had 5 games with a passer rating under 85 and the Bills still won 3 of those games
Lamar has had 3 games with a passer rating under 100 and the Ravens lost every one of those games
That tells me the Bills can still win without Allen but the Ravens can't without Lamar. Then when you take in account the much easier schedule and division of the Bills and Lamar leading in every stat that matters this should not even be close. Lamar beats Allen in the eye test as well.
This whole narrative about Lamar having Derrick is ridiculous. First off Derrick is having a career year at age 30, I wonder why that is? 🤔 Also Lamar has won 2 MVPs without Derrick and the Ravens were better last year without Derrick. ALSO.....what about all the other QBs that won the MVP award with talent around them in previous years. It's not like Josh doesn't have weapons or doesn't have a much better O-line than Lamar.
Sounds like the babbling talking heads on tv are just making up ridiculous excuses to try to push an agenda to give the award to Allen out of pitty. I mean yeah it sucks for Josh that he's playing in the same era as Lamar and Mahomes but it is what it is. Just because Josh is having his best year ever doesn't mean you have to ignore the record setting year Lamar is having.

There is no competition. Lamar deserves it, even if he doesn't get it. The narratives are garbage. Created by Allen stans. They say Lamar supporters said stats don't matter last season. Not true. Allen depreciated his stats by leading the league in ints. By playing reckless so often, that his coaches decided to take the ball out of his hands to make the playoffs. Winston had 5k yards with 30 tds a few years ago, but wasn't considered, due to his recklessness. In contrast, Lamar boosted his stats by playing his best last season when the lights were brightest. Every time a team was lauded as a huge test, a contender, or even superior, he was his most productive and efficient, as he led his team to the best record against winning teams in 40 years. This season, he has the stats. Has a better record against winning teams, in a harder division. He'll end up with 5k total yards. With perhaps, the greatest td/int ratio in history. Going for the best overall passer rating in history. Led his team late in the season, with great play, to a lead in his division, after a month ago, people said they had no shot. Ridiculous to suggest, he isn't the MVP. It's not even close.

My issue really comes down to the fact that Allen shouldnt even be top 3 in my opinion.
    4807 total yards, 43 total TDs 39 pass/4 rush, 8 TOs, 121 passer rating
    4818 total yards, 44 total TDs 42 pass/2 rush (1 tush push/QB sneak), 8 TOs, 109 passer rating
4262 total yards, 40 total TDs 28 pass/12 rush (probably 6 tush pushes lmao), 7 TOs, 101 passer rating
(Potentially) Best RB season of all time.
Without names I know who isnt winning 😂
If we talk and someone says Burrow or Saquon are the MVP ill have a discussion because thats a reasonable point with a good foundation. Allen only has team record, and that should only ever be used to break a tie lmao.

LJ & Josh don't care about this award. They both want a Lombardi. If they give it to a player that has lower stats but the argument is "Allen did more with less" without showing 4 of 5 Ravens losses also have to do with 10 missed field goals, they cheapen the MVP title. Oddly enough, Josh beat the Chiefs but couldn't beat the Ravens when the Ravens had the worse defense in the league. If it's a co-award, I hope Lamar skips out on the ceremony. If Josh gets it, I hope he acknowledges LJ had a better year.
The goal for both should be the Superbowl. As a Ravens fan, that's all we want for the New Year.

Listen, how last year was decided doesn’t matter, it was a down year for QBs across the league. Allen didn’t even have his best statistical season last year and was inefficient, threw almost half as many int as tds and had twice as many pass attempts as the next qb. They gave it to Lamar who didn’t have the best stats cuz he beat 5 playoff teams and 3 teams in the hunt and was the 1 seed cuz statically everyone was bad so they defaulted to that. This year a lot of QBs are having career years, so the criteria is different. Allen’s stats are down, they have beaten 2 playoff teams and are the 2 seed, so comparing that to Lamar last year he still wouldn’t win. The ravens are right behind the bills having beat more playoff teams with better stats this year. You bills fans and Allen glazers are out of your minds, wanting Allen to get award he clearly hasn’t earned, if he gets it it’s a pitty award and will always discussed with skepticism, you guys don’t see it now but it will be down the line. When they talk about it will be followed up with buts and questions.

Josh has sat 4 4th quarters this year. I could be wrong, but Lamar is 1 for sure, maybe 2?
The narrative last year was wins and best team. Now the goalposts are changing to stats? The constant narrative last year was Allen has too many turnovers. Ok, fair, but he also had over 40 tds for 4 consecutive seasons and now has 40 plus for a 5th consecutive season. Turnovers have never really been a barrier to MVP entry as is. Kurt Warner had 22, Marino had 17, Manning, Favre, Montana each had 16. If turnovers are the issue, Lamar has more this year if we include fumbles as we should. He's got at least 2 of his 9 in the red zone.
You've also gotta include narratives here. Buffalo was supposed to be in a rebuild year and Baltimore was supposed to be the top AFC team.
If stats is the only argument, it's a weak one. If Josh plays all those quarters he didn't because of a blow out, these stats are closer than they currently are and Allen is likely to sit the last game.
They're both playing ball, but if you don't think Allen deserves it this year, then you need to at the least acknowledge that Lamar with 23 passing tds and 29 total last year didn't deserve it and the narratives your complaining about were all on Lamars side last season. Go rewatch any of the talking heads and the narrative was all Lamar.

@@tdup191 Sure there is. Allen's stats were far and away better last year (besides turnovers, which Lamar has more of this year). Buffalo was the 2 seed with 2 more losses than the Ravens. Ravens currently are the 3 seed with 2 more losses than Buffalo.
It's kinda crazy how similar the situation is actually. If Lamar wins it, that's cool with me even as a Bills fan. Y'all Ravens fans just switched it up though. Last year oh it's not stats, his team record is better. Now it's, well look at the stats!! Can't really have it both ways. If you want to scream stats than you should at the least be consistent in that Lamar shouldn't have won last year then if team success is being taken out of the equation.
If the Ravens lose to the browns and Lamar has a bad game (I doubt that'll happen) the conversation will truly be over. Especially if the Ravens don't win their division. They'll be no conversation to have.

Yes, the Bills beat the SB champion Chiefs but couldn't beat the 29th ranked defense at the time when they played the Ravens. 4 of 5 Ravens losses were due to missed FG's.
Hopefully Lamar uses the slight to go out and crush everyone in his path. Allen will win it with less stats because that's the mission for this season. It's insane to believe a guy with better stats in every category won't get the award because a special teams player couldn't do his job 😂

If we go to "that was week 4" then the only loss that we can pin on Lamar was week 1 and that was because of a toe. Voters will look at the stats and then head to head since it's that close. Special teams lost games for the Ravens after getting put in position to score. The Bills got beat badly by the MVP competition and you want to ignore that. OK, that's the way you want to address that debate concerning wins vs losses ... ignore the head to head and ignore Special teams issues. So go to stats ... who deserves it when you compare stats?

Lmfaoo the comparison is wrong josh is having a season comparable to Jokic’s first mvp against embiid. The actual narrative is that Lamar is more popular than Josh and since he’s won it before last year with terrible stats for an mvp he’s supposed to get it again. But thats my personal take on tht comparison as a jokic fan as well.
In regards to who deserves it sure Lamar is having his best statistical season but people try to act like it’s this big difference when it’s really not. Whether u want to acknowledge it or not Lamar is benefitting from Derrick Henry which is why he’s having a career year(as is the same for derrick henry) and despite that the ravens have been worse this season and have bad losses to teams like the raiders and browns. And before someone comes trying to flex that win over the bills well guess who ran for 200 yards for that game🤷🏾‍♂️. Not to mention that was early in the season and the bills have gone on to beat the chiefs and lions. And yes this all on top of his narrative that everyone was hating on the bills b4 the season predicting them to be out the playoffs and for Allen to take a step back w/o Diggs, yet here he is again proving the doubters wrong and having his 5th straight season of 40+ tds and getting the bills the 2 seed b4 week 18, going undefeated at home and in the division(so far cuz we have one more game and josh might not play).
Its funny you said that you thought Lamar has done enough to lock up the MVP award but he wasn’t even and still hasnt been the betting odds favorite for Mvp and he’s only put himself back in it because the ravens have cleaned up their act and moved up to 1st in their division and the 3 seed. I think ya should worry about locking that up more than the MVP. Either way tho ur 100% right that both players care more about the super bowl and would probably trade the mvp to get the title. I love watching both play tbh I just think Josh gets slighted more often than not and yes ofc ik wat Lamar went through but if ur acting like he’s still hated or overshadowed after 2 mvps u gotta be delusional. And when Josh wins mvp it will be because he deserves it and was the best player in football
