The Goal Line Stand was the most beautiful example of DB teamwork in crunch time I've ever seen. Marlon forced him closer to the boundary even though he didn't have much contact. Which fed him right into the bullseye of the fully committed Washington who laid the BOOM. Then Trey fought through that block in perfect time to make CERTAIN he was knocked out of bounds. Just BEAUTIFUL football!!

I'm going to admit it and say, I was on that wagon wanting Orr gone no doubt! But as always we have to listen to players and what they say creatively! And understand the content and context of every situation. Marlo told us several times during press interviews earlier in the year about guys not keeping to their assignments!!! I believe he explained it as people try to do too much or over thinking! Yes right! There's no doubt that being a young coach there are going to be older vets who don't respect you and do their own thing believing they know better! However, after getting rid of Jackson and benching that other high price safety, can't even say his name smdh, nevertheless, things seem to have drastically changed for the better! 🤔 Coincidence??? I've been there and seen this many times on teams! No bonuses for Williams and he probably has clauses and deductions because of this! He was Sh*tting the team with the help of a new outsider in Eddie Jackson!!!! Js mo! He deserves to be a healthy scratch until playoffs over! Hell can't start him now he might screw us!!!! Out the nest .....you go, I 🙏

Yeah I hear ya, but I wonder how much of that is actually Dean Pees 🤔 Because that sudden turnaround didn’t happen until they announced him as being the Sr Advisor ? I am hoping that the same thing happens when we won our last Superbowl. Jim Caldwell was hired as the OC during the Flacco run in those Playoffs, but this time, ( hopefully ) because of the Defensive changes, I am honestly hoping that history repeats itself. 💜🖤💜🖤💜✌🏾🐦‍⬛

@shawnkincheloesr5192 Yea it wasn't Dean, the real problem was Marcus who quit on the team last year. Go back and watch the SF game

Real man for owning this! I was not on the wagon but was very critical of the HC still am if we don’t get it done this year. We do have everything we need to win the SB let’s go no excuses from NO RAVEN. Defense playing lights out and not allowing any splash plays and looks scary. Offensively we got good momentum and need good play calling to continue especially in adversity during playoffs 🎉

@ Wasn’t Marcus the one who suffered that injury last season, and was trying to make tackles using only one arm ? Or do I have the wrong player ?

  • @laurencubbage2498

Marlon been playing lights out all year. That hasn’t changed. Hamilton was playing great up front. Moving him back is the #1 reason. Next Washington he has been very complimentary and physical. Marlo May be defensive MVP though.

    1. Kyle H.
    2. Marlo H.
    3.) A’D Washington
The reason why Marcus doesn’t work in this scheme b/c he can only play FS. A’D is perfect for this scheme. He can play in the box or slot and he can play high at the FS.
Orr did some mixing the kitchen to make this defense look right. A little of bit Pees, a little of Wink & a little bit of Mike’s Defense. Keep cooking Orr!

This entire season has been about rebuilding our defense!!! That meant getting the right folks and then getting that group to really gel together and give Lamar a fun playing field!!! Stopping plays was our deficit and that has been corrected!!! Lamar is doing Lamar-type things and special teams is showing up!! It's on from here!! Let's Go Lamar!! Let's Go, Ravens!!!

    Marlo
    Hamilton
    Washington
Humphrey is a massive reason why the ravens won like 4 games, 2 against Cincy 4th Q int and forced fumble in Bmore down 21-7 half way through the 3rd Q, jumpstarting the ravens after a terrible first quarter against Tampa, Iced the Steelers game, also gave the offense a chance in the Steelers game we lost, with a redzone INT late in the 4th

I have to rank them Washington, Hamilton, then Humphrey... Washington has provided toughness, assignment/alignment, & playmaking...moving Hamilton to traditional S (at times) provided disguise, stability, communication, & playmaking...& Marlo has moved inside providing run support (without using a S or LB), slot coverage (since Hamilton moved), playmaking, & awareness...also an * is for the White trade which allowed Marlo to move inside & helps us not having to use #21 a lot who is another liability along with awareness... I like this video but the true recent success of our D is the subtraction of #32, #39, & limiting #21 (I refuse to use these players names because they haven't earned that with their play this year)...

Bothersome to me are several clips showing the tight ends leaking into wide open territory and we were lucky it was not exploited.

  • @Pin-jl2hl

Marlon has consistently played at an All Pro level since week 1. So because of that I credit him the least. I’d say AD second and definitely KHam has had the biggest impact. I feel so gratified because I believed in the defense the ENTIRE time. When they were calling for ZO head I kept preaching to just give him time. I said the same thing after KHam got smoked against the Dolphins rookie year. They had to take their rookie lumps to grow. The roster is too talented to not have a good defense, it was only a matter of time

My comment said exact same thing about the order. And I agree with the rest of the statement adding we had to fix some of the back end players not doing their job. But agreed to do that we had to trade for White and let Wiggins come to form

@doloyo8344 balling and game winning plays are not the same. Just being a qb puts Lamar ahead of balling. Actual plays we can reference to changing the game is another topic. Marlon has actual plays we can reference that even with Lamar balling we would have lost the game minus it. See cinci see Tampa see Steelers

With the caveat that all 3 are critical to this defense. Hamilton feels like the lynchpin but Marlon has been balling out the last few weeks. Washington (and Wiggins) are surprising young talents. I think we need all three!

Kyle Hamilton moving to safety by far most valuable. We are paying a star next to nothing and the defense changed completely moving him. Washington next in value. Marlo is great but safety was our main issue, and Marlo is paid well. So for "value", that's how I see it.

    Washington, Hamilton, and then Humphreys
I don't contribute a lot to Humphreys because I feel like he's been playing great to excellent in his role this whole season.
Washington being in has allowed Hamilton to be freed up and do what he does! Washington has also been playing excellent!
If I was ranking them based on value to the team it would be different.
Hamilton would be first I just don't see too many people his age and time in the league that have the level of impact and prowess he has anywhere you put him on the field. I feel like he irreplaceable.
Then Humphreys because he is playing top-tier and he's a leader within the defense.
Washington last… he's been that vital missing piece that has completed our secondary. I think he could be replace by a few other young safeties around the league, but he's good enough that we definitely don't need to.

Why is Stroud holding that ball on KVM’s sack??? It should have been gone the second he hit the top of his drop. Wide open 2 GUYS right in front of his face? KVN should not have gotten there in time or even close.
