Let's see who is more valuable to their team.
Allen has had 5 games with a passer rating under 85 and the Bills still won 3 of those games
Lamar has had 3 games with a passer rating under 100 and the Ravens lost every one of those games
That tells me the Bills can still win without Allen but the Ravens can't without Lamar. Then when you take in account the much easier schedule and division of the Bills and Lamar leading in every stat that matters this should not even be close. Lamar beats Allen in the eye test as well.
This whole narrative about Lamar having Derrick is ridiculous. First off Derrick is having a career year at age 30, I wonder why that is? 🤔 Also Lamar has won 2 MVPs without Derrick and the Ravens were better last year without Derrick. ALSO.....what about all the other QBs that won the MVP award with talent around them in previous years. It's not like Josh doesn't have weapons or doesn't have a much better O-line than Lamar.

Lamar Jackson earned the mvp clearly over Allen this year and last year. This discussion is ridiculous. The mvp is a regular season award for who played the best. It is also exclusively a qb award at this point imo. Henry didn't get mvp for 2k.

29 passing tds with 18 ints is better numbers? Look up stats instead of believing everything you see on TV. Dude wouldn’t have even won it last year and even if Lamar didn’t win it, he would’ve been top 3 in voting still.
@georgekeeney3088 Lamar had a higher qbr both years. Last year, Allen threw 18 interceptions and 29 touchdowns, and this year, it's only 6 with 28 aganst 24 to 7 and 39 to 4. Lamar had a much better touchdown to interception ratio, which is the top metric historically used to determine close mvp races. This is why Rodgers and Manning have 9 of then.
The tush push touchdowns don't make Jalen Hurts an mvp candidate, so why should they factor in for Allen?
The two seed isn't a bye and a win in the playoffs, and also shouldn't be a factor in a weak schedule.
Head to head and quality opponents are usually a factor in previous close races also.
Look at the numbers. Lamar Jackson is better than Josh Allen at both passing and rushing behind a much worse offensive line.
Derrick Henry isn't even a top 10 paid running back. He was available to anyone.

He also ran past Michael Vick's rushing record but Eric Dickerson seems to be a bigger deal. I would imagine that breaking the passing rating record of Rodgers and the rushing record of Vick in the same season being unprecedented and everything might get more respect, but I remember what they said about Jordan before the championships too. Mahomes did it. Why didn't you already do it. Allen and Burrow can do it even though they didn't but you can't even though you obviously can kinda thing.

This is my take on the dj situation, the expectations for his role wasn’t clear or maybe it wasn’t to him or he thought he could beat out bate or zay. He got mad when that wasn’t the case, which has nothing to do with the players on the ravens. I understand his frustration cuz it is a business he’s trying to get a contract cuz it was pretty clear he was a post season rental and wasn’t getting the opportunity to do so. How he handled it wasn’t right, you can’t have it both ways cuz he has had issues on other teams, dj is a good player but he’s not elite and you aren’t going to go to a winning team and be the guy all those spots are taken maybe outside of the bills
This whole idea of giving the MVP award to Josh Allen because Lamar already has 2 is ridiculous!!! It's an EARNED award, Not A PARTICIPATION award!!! Josh Allen has has one of the easiest schedules this season and he hasn't beaten nearly as many top 5 teams as Lamar has!!! Plus, Lamar has been breaking records EACH AND EVERY SEASON since he stepped onto the football field!!! There really is no comparison in their games!!! I feel sorry for Allen at this point though because if they give it to him, it will be the worst honor ever bestowed on any recipient in the history of the NFL!! Someone will be a 3-time winner or someone will be looked at sideways and his abilities questioned for the rest of their career!!! This really is a no-win situation for Josh Allen!!!

One thing to remember that people so quickly forget... last year lamars individual stats were nowhere near as good as Allen's...& they gave the trophie to lamar...so alot of the arguments im hearing this year contradict what just happened last season!
Allen had 18 int's last year. That is not a MVP. That is the opposite of MVP.

Last year was questionable for sure but it comes down to how you determine what the MVP actually means. Is it the best overall player(Qb) or the one who does the most for their team. Either way this year Lamar is leading both categories. Last year Lamar carried the ravens with virtually no running game to speak of en route to slapping the shit out of every major player in the league aside from mahomes.
