Ugh FINALLY found my type. When I was heavier I thought maybe I was a soft gamine… lately I’ve been questioning flamboyant natural since I’ve been at a lower weight for a while and all of my sharpness is a lot more visible. The other day I did the full body outline sketch & that helped IMMENSELY. I’m just a bit too “animated” (and 5”1’ to boot) so I’m firmly settled on FG! I’m also not at all surprised to find that the actresses whose styles I’m most drawn to (Lucy Liu, Emma Roberts) are in my type!
Now this is the kind of sass I want when talking about my body shape!
I think this might be what I am. I always thought I did not fit in anywhere in the Kibbe chart since I had a few characteristics that fit into every category, it's just a bunch of opposites!
Broadly speaking: Im 5'3, large hands but extremely delicate wrists, large eyes and forehead. Sharp and broad cheekbones, sharp nose, medium to small lips, wide and angular shoulders (almost blunt), very very petite waist and ribcage, boxy/squared wide hips and when I gained weight I look square-ish with a lot of flesh from hips and down.
It's starting to make sense!
I’m 5’3 So kinda short, kinda average. My face is very yin, but my body has some Yang to it. Im conventionally curvy. I also have a long torso/arms and short legs. Forever I was so stuck between flamboyant natural and flamboyant gamine. Natural because my shoulders are also a little broad, but when I explored the basic causal FN lines, I looked terrible. And until now, I ruled out FG too because everyone acts like you have to be shaped like a box to be one 😂 there’s lots of curvy FGs. This just confirmed I’m FG body type. Thank you.
Finally, a kibbe type that actually suits me and the styling doesn’t make me yawn!
I have been working on a personal uniform for years now, and figuring out I'm an FG is def going to help.

As a professional I wore business suits to work for the corporate look that helped my career immensely. It was like wearing a uniform. Now that I am retired, I am having a good time dressing for my body type and embracing color and simply having fun. What you wear creates an image to others and people will treat you accordingly. Unfair at times, but true.
The “you are not short, merely not tall” got me that is exactly it. I am not petite but I am 5’4”. This helped me finally figure it out! Thank you!

I love this breakdown. I’m barely getting into kibbe, but I immediately saw my body type and my natural inclination towards buying clothing in the FG style.

I was starting to think I am none of these types then I came across a picture of Jennifer Love Hewitt in a bathing suit and I realized she has the EXACT SAME body shape as I do. Then I did some research and saw that she is typed as flamboyant gamine. So if she is FG then so am I. So I appreciate all the helpful videos! 💖

I think I understood my problem, I was typed FG in a community (I have a similar body to Vanessa Paradis/Emma Roberts), although I still haven’t given up on SN completely.
So, I always gravitate towards delicate details, but they don’t do me any good, bolder ones looks quite better, the problem is they doesn’t fit my personality …
Check the essences. There is always a way.

@@thaycaramel I am 5,1 a short woman and I am not sure what I am. I thought I was a soft gamine but I have some broadness then I heard that naturals can also be short and I thought then I am a soft natural but now I heard flamboyant gamines can be short too so who knows.
@@thaycaramel I have just watched this video. It is in Spanish but it describes two types of flamboyant gamines. One is more dramatic and the other is more natural like Penelope Cruz. If I am a flamboyant gamine then I am more natural dan dramatic.

This type resonates with me more than any other type but I am 5'7, is it still possible? I am not so yang/sharp to be a dramatic, not enough bluntness to be a natural, and not enough softness to be a soft dramatic. I have a very even mix of features but not blended like a classic.
Audrey Hepburn was 5’7 and she is always used as a reference for this type. I’m a dramatic classic but 5’6. You don’t have to fit every exact part of what makes up your body type.

I am 5'10" and DEFINITELY a Flamboyant Gamine! (Aly and I have agreed to disagree on this in a previous comments section!)
Everything said in this video applies to me, and just as importantly, the lines that look best on me don't lie. None of the other Kibbe types apply to me either. Saying this again here in case someone (like I did for many months!) automatically eliminate FG just because they are tall. (My main yin is short vertical line due to a larger head! and fine bone structure, with yang flesh.)
The head size thing isn't part of Kibbe

@@LittleMissHoop Vertical line draws to the knees to the shoulders. Have a long vertical line isn't the same that looking tall

Oh my God may be I am a flamboyant gamine and not a soft natural or a soft gamine. First I thought I was a soft gamine because I am short only 5,1 then I thought I was a soft natural cause I have this squarish shoulder and broadness too and I heard some naturals can be petits and now watching this may be I am a flamboyant gamine if they also could be petits. Who knows. 😅
This is so confusing . I'm exactly like a TR but don't have the double curve so I was told I'm flamboyant gamine . Flamboyant gamine makes no sense to me. I have extremely delicate bone structure , waspish waist , very yin and tiny delicate hands and small feet 😂🤷♀️
