Moved down from longisland. 3 yrs ago The more iam here the more I like it...mostly new structures ..alot of parks. Hospitals and medical care many restaurants....weather Great
Thank you so much for this video. I been researching lately. I have been in Miami for 20 years and it does not meet my family’s needs anymore. Peace and tranquility, the fact that the night life is limited is heaven. Thank you ❤
I’ve always wondered why PSL has never embraced real industry. They seem to be stuck on this idea that call centers and retail shops are what people want - job wise. I grew up there and it was an incredibly frustrating experience obtaining a professional high paying job after college and grad school. The difference in pay is substantial from Palm Beach County for the same type of jobs. My other cons would include limited entertainment/culture, limited public transportation, far drive from FLL and MIA. It’s not all bad but it’s not for everyone.
I prefer Hollywood Beach Florida and Hallandale Beach Florida more than Daytona beach, they just got way more things to do restaurants, bars, lounges and a good nightlife. ☀️
The traffic and drugs are out of control. No one talks about just how dangerous the drivers are. I have been rear-ended 3 times in 1 year, all 3 times i was either parked or sitting at a stop light. I live on Cameo blvd and there have been 4 accidents in front of my house in 1 year. The drugs and dealers at Turtle Run park are brazen and dont hide. They troll up and down the steeets openly soliciting. The crime in the town goes mostly unreported bc there are not enough cops to keep up with the rising crime. If you have a dog, depending on where you live, dont expect walking to be safe because , at least on and around the Cameo blvd neighborhood, you will eventually get attacked by an off leash dog. Better get animal control on speed dial. Cant get out of here quick enough. This is in addition to the taxes and high cost of living.
We made the mistake of living in Port St Luce. We lived there for four years. We move back to Tennessee and were glad to get the heck out. Reasons to not live there: high cost of living high taxes no real job opportunities crazy as heck drivers people who all walk around and appear to be pissed for no reason. If you mean great weather is 90 degrees with 80 percent humidity for nine months of the year, the weather is fabulous! Run Forest run!
Thank you I just moved from Jupiter to Port St. Lucie. I am in love with my house. However, I’m frightened to leave it. This town is not for me. I miss Jupitor. ❤😢
Port Saint Lucie is about 15 miles inland? You might want to look again at that map. I would say Port Saint Lucie is zero miles inland, considering it touches the ocean.
Technically, you're right, however, most people are buying and living in Tradition or the St Lucie West area, which is between 15 and 16 miles inland. "East Port" is about 1/2 mile inland. (Older homes, no HOA's and certainly no amenities) . Thank for your comments and thanks for watching.
Just returned today from PSL…..spent a week there again and love the beaches, good roads, and met some folks that live in Visalia. Hope home prices fall….can’t believe the building in just one year.
Great Video , Lisa !....A Nice way to start Easter Sunday.....Well, at Jimmy's BOAT World, you don't have to pay those 2.4% property taxes ! (lol)....Happy Easter, Lisa.....Thank you and Godspeed....
just came back from Port St Lucie beautiful area, for a cheap area It's very safe, and very clean, my only issue is that its crazy hot, and I disagree with this lady when it comes to the beach, There's a beach maybe 5 miles from there took about 20 minutes to get there and it's next to a beautiful hotel
Hi Peter. "BrightLine" is a high speed rail system currently under testing and expansion. And YES, they plan on have stops in Port St Lucie. This train will travel north and south along the eastern coast of Florida. ( so not an inner -city form of transportation) Travels from Miami to Orlando.
JBBB, if clean, cheap energy is a problem I guess, however, the plant has been here for well over 30 years. And never a problem for the PSL community. The power plant is also away from city limits. Thank you for watching~~😀
Biggest mistake and trap of my lifetime. Developers are destroying the city. Traffic is horrendous and getting worse. Very expensive. Property values are dropping like a rock. Don't move here unless you sre very rich. You need 5 or 6 million in the bank. Biggest mistake of my life. Can't even sell me house to get out of this trap. Nothing to do here but exist. These new homes the developers are building are lipstick on a pig. You will be putting tons of money 10 years, especially the houses that were built durthe pandemic

It’s good if you are retired or work from home.
Appreciate your honesty. I don’t need to make a mistake.

Very nice!
Love your videos. Thinking of moving to Florida. Vero Beach ? What do you think?
Skip.... really depends on what you want.... you can email me to chat on the topic if you would like. lisa.ammons@ccomcast.net
Is Port St. Lucie similar to Vero Beach?
Vero is a little more laid back... less big gated communities.. of course that could change.

Hi Lisa Just wondering if the Blue Line will be going thru Port Saint Lucy ? If so is there any expected competition date ?

No expressways to Tampa Area
Isn’t there a Nuclear Power plant in Port St. Lucie by the same name? That could be a huge negative for a lot of people.

Does Port Saint Luise have Sinkholes? I know it effects insurance cost lots of money!
I am not aware if any sinkhole incidence in Port St Lucie, however, we do have them in Florida. Many in central Florida.
no go away. there is too many people here.
I say the same thing when I drive out of my community!
