The hell with all those naysayers about the different siding of the addition. I love that design feature! Same thing for all the "not for tiny house accessories" like the 4-burner stove; the large shower; and, OMG, drywall. Good for Maci for building what SHE wanted and not what the industry says is acceptable. It's beautiful!
+RussPNW Prior That would actually be my only dilemma building a tiny house. I couldn't sacrifice my normal stove and countertops and shower. She managed to combine it and she still has a lot of space! kudos to her
yeah I can definitely see why she wouldn't do it again. If I was doing it myself I would constantly worry that it wasn't reinforced enough and that's kind of an important part
+Tiny House Giant Journey Although now a days with oil patch workers getting laid off, a person could probably get a decent rate on some decent welding.
So cute seeing the baby want to show off her own parts of the house🥰 Also shout out to all the moms that have their babies close in age! It’s not easy but such a show & blessing to watch them grown up together.
Beautiful home. Tiny houses can be whatever the owner wants them to be - low cost, eco friendly, portable, luxurious hand-crafted space etc. This is great example of what can be done. Think the architect trained eye for design and good use of space really shows in this one. Amazing what can be achieved.
I totally love what Macy has done. It's gorgeous and practical and doable. I love her forethought and flexibility and design talent. GREAT vid guys. Thanks so much. Bless you.
Six-Zero-Six Defender Of Justice! Depends if you want to move it or not :) for me personally, i want a piece of land with a cottage. But that's because I plan to live there permanently.
So 606 DOJ, what did you do? I got the cottage. A 640 sq ft 1930 and gutted it. Retiring to it when done in another yr and RVing during the winter at that point. Taxes $912 a year.
She seems like a very funny and charming lady. I like how loft is drop in the middle and not up toward the roof as I've seen in most houses. I really like the overall lay out of the house.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I feel SUPER EMPOWERED knowing you did this for $11k. The video I saw was for $69k which I never have but 11k I can pull off thank you so much.
Someone sensible in a tiny house, that is a surprise. It is nice to see that they at least understand that the kids will grow and won't be able to live there when they are a bit older. I really like this tiny house.
I am thrilled to see the super creativity of parents determined to make a loving home. Bless you and your family. Very empowering! What a great example of what can be done! Well done.
I really enjoyed this feature. I had seen stills of this tiny house so many times, but never a video showing the inside. Thanks for the tour and that "Awkward Hug" bit's a nice touch.
I am going to use that sliding door idea. I knew I wanted to add 2 sliding doors to my house and she had a wonderful idea!! Just up my alley!!! Thanks!! I like your child-proofing gates too!!
I like your tiny house way more than my tiny apartment. I'm actually in love. I would so get one. I love simplicity. There's still so much space despite it's appearance. You made such great use of it. Beautiful family.
This sort of construction project has really got to be an Architect's functional dream project. I love the cultural aesthetics. It is almost unbelievable. So cool! Thank you guys so much for bringing your expertise into something we all can relate to, & that is - a beautiful home. Best wishes to you & your family! Yay! Macy.
Realized that this was filmed 5 years ago. Such a beautiful family. Do anyone know where they are now? Did they move out of the tiny house already or did they continue expanding the house?
We're still living in it, the kiddos are 5 and 6. We've found 6 acres we fell inove with, moved and now live completely off grid, solar, rainwater harvesting, etc. We've gained legal status which is a relief. We still plan to be in the tiny a couple more years before we eventually build a ground bound structure. Our blog is minimotives.com, I occasionally update about our happenings over there still.
@@Minimotives Hello! Thanks for the reply, and I'm glad that you're living off grid and have a legal status now. I'm amazed that you are still living tiny despite the kids growing up. How do you cope with the ever increasing energy of the kiddos especially while on the move? That's a feat and it's nice to hear from owners really using their tiny homes for a long time. Checked you blog and saw that you're home schooling the kids. I'm proud of you guys and will definitely check back on your blog for updates :)
I've watched several tiny house videos and by far I have enjoyed this one the most. Her explanation, her voice is calming and she is VERY informative ☺
Love how you described urban area, very well said. Most don't think about the types of areas they will be parking these homes until after the fact and are shocked with what people will complain about Lol.
Great Tiny House! I would add 2 or 3 small shelves in the kids room for more storage options. Loved the idea of actual furniture verses built ins. So much more cozy. Love the white clean look too.
Wow this a super mom with so many talents and creativity to do all this. I love the safety divider she built by her bed and the stairs. So well thought out and great job!
Hope this is a legacy that she can give to her girl when she is 18. It would be nice to start out debt free WITH a house. And one she can move anywhere or stay there.
I so wish you would have asked about the land she is living on. Is it hers, is she renting/leasing the parcel? And how big/small is it. I am going to find my land first and then built a shipping container tiny home. I so cannot wait. Great video, thanks!
+Micah Rumba The noted on their blog they were going to take some time off. That hug wasn't awkward at all. Lol those two seemed like sisters. This is my favorite video of all I've seen. That king size bed is the best! I wish I'd bought a king sized bed and left off the bassinet , crib, Moses basket etc.
Elianne Wallenius Probably the fear of the little one opening the door and going outside at night (which I'm sure the mom has already thought of and put some type of lock on the door) also intruders easily breaking the large glass on the door and going in and the little one being the first thing they see... or them even taking the little one... the list can go on for me but I'm just a super worrisome mom lol! I'm sure they've thought of it all when designing the room though.
LOVE this house!!!!! I genuinely love the bunk beds as I've seen people put little kids in sleeping lofts on the opposite side of the home, which scares me. Actually, sleeping lofts usually scare me as they are not much bigger than a coffin usually.

Anna Brewer me too. If the dog is never let inside the house don't think he could really count in living in tiny house with a great Dane.
me too. I have a Dane and it seemed pretty much relegated to not being around anymore...
Alot of assumptions about how the dog is treated from a 14 min video...

what a fantastic tiny house. I know it's larger than the average but it seems even more spacious than it is, there's so much going on inside
can somebody explain what she means by it taking two months to get the trailer buildable? I'm trying to imagine what would take so long to do
+josh mcgee She had to do a lot of work to the used trailer to get it ready. Fix rust, reinforce, weld, grind, paint, etc etc
