@@TravelingDan528 you obviously know nothing about the law. Lift surfing is trespass and trespass is not illegal in the U.K. as it falls under civil law.

Lift engineers i imagine do this..they know what theyre doing.

Lift engineer DONT do this, we have the lift under complete control, with safety systems and practices in place. We also would have verified all safety systems were operational so that there can be no uncontrolled movement of the lift before even getting on top. And even then the lift will travel under are direct control at about a quarter of the speed. This type of mindless stupidity has no place on the internet for children to see and get ideas from. There’s actually a number of laws this person can be prosecuted under and I truly hope he is. It’s us lift engineers that get called to the site to secure the lift after idiots like this are crushed to death and the paramedics have to scrap their body’s out the shaft.

Sadly not, that lift is running on (what we call “Normal”) which essentially means it’s in normal service, and will go to any floor that a call is entered from. Doing something like this is beyond stupid and incredibly selfish. no consideration for any one. (there own life, their families when something happens to them, and as I said earlier the responders that have to go a deal with the body in the aftermath.) put to post it online to get some clicks, beyond pathetic. RUclips shout take it down and ban the idiot that posted it.
