Anytime the CEO Mr. Andy Stumpf makes an appearance, makes me tune in for not only wisdom, but a straight education in all things political 😂. Seriously, great podcast fellas! Thanks for spending the time and make it! Definitely makes my drive to work better!
It sucks because Brent isn’t wrong and Andy and Evan are awesome dudes that have to stick up for their egotistical freind who over embellishes everything
I was 18,married with a child,went to work for a power company,went through an apprenticeship,topped out in 1999,I've never made less than 6 figures a year,ever,learn a trade kids
Smartest guy I know is a painter/carpenter. He used to take SATs for rich kids trying to get into Berkley and Ivy league schools. I tell him all the time he could have cured cancer if he had gone that track.
While our political views may differ, I genuinely enjoy listening to your discussions on these issues because I know it comes from a place of good faith. If I spot an episode featuring Evan and the CEO of Black Rifle, I can't help but click on it!
I am a software engineer and barely graduated high school. Never went to college. It all about certifications that you can take for $100 - $400. The college education that is required on the job application is for HR. If you make a certain amount of money per year HR will be looking for that. Bypassing HR is key. This means you need to network with the people that work in that field and they can get you in.
Yea, all the top IT guys I know, did the same. Hated highschool, no post secondary, just learned to do the work and got every cert they heard of. All have done well, some had to start cleaning up Database junk files, but it go them in there.
There are a ton of millennials 35-40 that tried to go to college for real professional degrees that were destroyed by 2008 crash that had to leave school to help provide for their families. A lot of us are carpenters, concrete finishers and laborers. We work hard every day but were not able to get apprenticeships as electrical and plumbing unions were not accepting applications because of the crash. Most of us don't make shit cause we don't have a license system in these trades. I have paid more than double the value of my loans and still owe almost 20 years later. I still have to decide between insurance mortgage and student loan payments any time work even slightly slows. I didn't even want to go to college but was told my whole life that if I didn't go my life would be ruined. Turns out going destroyed me financially for life. I only went for 3 semesters
As far as student loan forgiveness I'm agnostic. I took out the loans trusting the "educated" people in my life. They are my debt and I will pay them off some day
The biggest issue with student loans is the way interest is handled. Should be .5% to cover admin fees and not compound. I have 4 years left and have paid 1.5x what I took out. I don’t want forgiveness, I want a fair loan
Hell yes I’d vote for those guys. It would be a whole lot better than what we have now. After the Trump/Vance 8 yr run and then the Vance/Gabbert 8yr run.
My biggest Christmas wish ever (since begging Santa for an ATARI on the Milford NH bandstand in '83 😂) ....to chill with Evan, Andy, Mike and The S.O.B. around a pickup bed with the tailgate down and a cooler full of Voodoo Rangaaaahhh lol 🤣 Greetings from New Hampshah and warmest wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy and healthy New Year, Gentlemen! Best Regards to the Fam! 🇺🇸🗽🇺🇸🎗️🇺🇸⚖️🇺🇸💪👊💣💥🇺🇸🎄✝️⛪✨
Gosh thanks guys for talking about the differences between college educated and those who luckily just went straight into the trades! I've been doing plumbing and heating for 11 years.. poured concrete for a couple years after BCT. Currently grinding my way towards becoming a Conservation Officer/ Game Warden in SD. Will be up against many college educated people who went to school for it.
I've met more genius in the military than in academia x100 . And it was the ability to use and apply what was learned in any situation quickly. These military members also can think outside the box and make snap decisions that are life and death decisions well
I recall, way back when I was a kid, thinking about people who were 60 or more, thinking "holy crap, they are OLD!" I turned 60 a while back and was reflecting on that realizing that I don't feel 60 (most of the time; some days...well, $h!t happens! lol).
I agree with Evan that it’s highly unlikely that Cooper survived. If he somehow did, there’s a good chance he’d have been barefoot too. A 180 mph wind is going to tear off anything that isn’t tightly fastened to your body. Richard Marcinko wrote in his autobiography that he and his men tie their boots as tight as possible and make the laces into impossible to undo knots so wouldn’t land from a jump barefoot. One of the issues higher ups had with him was how much he spent on boot laces.
Totally agree with Evan on having a degree vs blue collar. I taught high school and college 35 years. My teacher pension is eaten by health insurance, so I worked cashier at three dollar stores for seven years (truly loved that, btw!). I told a friend my former teaching colleagues (often snobs toward blue collar people) should work dollar stores for six months and come down from their throne! Frankly, steel workers make a financial killing in retirement around here! (They do deserve it, btw). I get$1k a month pension. They get $5k a month, and their social security payout is sky high, compared to mine.
Andy stated it when he said we are sick and tired of a pathetic political system of morons , not a quote . I am a. 65 yo disabled male veteran who has watched our country suffer through the stupidity of mentally maladjusted leaders that lose touch with reality !!! “Thinking people are in such short supply . 🇺🇸

5 year Tesla owner here. If Andy was renting a Tesla, the odds are extremely high that it only has basic Autopilot (standard with every Tesla), because the FSD software costs thousands (currently 8k) more. Basic Autopilot does NOT include Traffic light and Stop sign control.
I think there is an entirely sperate aspect in regards to this discussion as well. I recently graduated with a BS in Geology and managed to obtain a new role a few months before even actually graduating as well as a few of my other classmates while the majority are still jobless almost 6 months after graduating. From my experience, most of the people in my graduating class (and I know this might sound crazy) have the misconception that the degree directly translate to money/career when there is nothing further from that fact. Legwork (like networking and building relationships) is such a huge factor that I want to say they are just lacking in that skill. Also also, specifically in my situation......most of the people pursuing the GEOLOGY degree didn't want to work outside or actually do most things associated with geology. A combo of being called a scientist and the false assumption of a geology degree being easy was enough for handful of them to hitch their wagon to something the found out the hard way, they want nothing to do with.
When are Andy and Evan doing firearm instrumental courses? I've got an MPR in 300wm in Sydney Australia but I'm left handed and left eye dominant. Shooting at a range wouldn’t be that hard but public land hunting would take a few months to get the right licenses
All hail Andy the rightful CEO of BRCC. Watching these two reminds me of the movie Twins. Andy (Schwarzenegger) is the product from best DNA, Even (DeVito) was the result of the left over material.🤣
I just lost my buddy who was 41 to cancer throughout his stomach and lungs and was just eating him up and before he died he did his bucket list and a bunch of drugs and he went from being bi to having a full polyamorous relationship and was very happy before going but it fucking sucks. It’s so heartbreaking😢 I would’ve loved more time with him. DB Cooper’s son recently came forward and there’s a documentary on RUclips.
Needed this one. As far as SOF influencer types go (and he probably hates that he's being referred to as such), Andy's probably the only guy I can even remotely relate to in any capacity anymore.
I’m a high school dropout, I dated a college chick that was taking some online courses and I did one essay and two assignments for her and I was surprised how easy they were and I’m not saying I’m a smart guy I was just surprised I made 95 on the essay and 98 on both the assignments.
As a machinist and welder if the man who ran the machine was The one who made the design it would be more efficient and effective cutting the shit that doesn’t matter and the time that isn’t worth wasting.
Thank you for your thanks, but with Rogan, Hafer, Kennedy, stumpy ( yes, he's earned a British y of respect at the end), Donut and others being into japslapping as well as bows, it sounds like a chance to roll on Mars before hunting on Mars. Could also be a much missed parody movie! Only five years to pitch the real deal to Elon, and bag these crew seats
Every person who can test to qualify to work in the medical field as a nurse/doctor should get that education for free with the requirement to work for the same number of years at a not-for-profit hospital, state or federal facility. Once done, they can do what ever specialty they qualify for
If you’re not going union, I would tell people not to waste your time in the trades. Every small home or light commercial service company doing plumbing, hvac, or electric is being bought out by private equity and turned into a corporate sales job. The figure of 80-130k Evan quotes is possible if you’re a journeyman in a strong union on the east coast. Everywhere else the average is probably 55-60.
My school wouldn’t even let me complete my degree and then immediately demanded I start paying without a degree and then since then try to find a job without a degree or trying to make the money to pay back the $52k to be able to complete literally a degree in Art History so I could start a mutual fund based in the arts. Now haven’t had a real job in 12 years and am going to move to Montana with hopes of finding a job. Doing anything.

Suppressors or moderators are a Section 1 item in the UK, which means on your certificate, though some individual Chief Constables of the police have tried to ban them outright, assuming they have the power, which they don't. A seasoned professional deer stalker with a rifle license was told he was not getting his moddy on his ticket, so asked for the Chief Constable to put that in writing, which he was ignorant enough to do. The stalker then took the letter to the Health and Safety Executive, who were obliged to launch a prosecution of the policeman, as he had personally prevented the stalker using all reasonable means to prevent hearing loss, and therefore the policeman was personally looking at a humungous fine, and not his police force. Oddly enough the moddy appeared as quick as a flash on the stalkers license. Do you fancy suing Brandon Herrera in his next job as Medal of Honor and Purple Heart recipient ATF director??
Asfar as i understand it ( correct me if i am wrong ) Usa has a huge loan with China, and each year only the rent is payed of on it, isnt the debt even bigger then first was assumed?
OK guys I have one for you. What about those of us who are in the first responder field we’re going to school to get a basic degree in our field in order to maybe one day get promoted to a lieutenant or a captain, but we could barely make ends meet with our family, feeding our kidswith our student loans and no it’s not in the hundreds of thousands but upwards of 20,000 it still sucks
Great seeing you guys, but need to include Mike next time.. I just read that our life expectancy has dropped as some old sicknesses have returned and having the highest obesity rate in the world out of all industrialized nations along with also being behind in math and science. The enrollment of medical school has also dropped drastically with a growing old population and our population growth. Too many can’t afford to eat right or go see a doctor for an annual checkup. We’re are fortunate because of our military retirement and able to receive medical and dental care which folks forget about as many ailments a dentist is able to see. Something to think about?
I took out student loans and repaid every dime. NO, they should NOT be forgiven. Pay it, or go to prison, period. They used to be (1980’s) interest free. Repayment terms were very generous. Still angry the feds have not forced those turkeys to repay what they owe.
Excellent discussion on education specifically types of education and the blue collar skilled trades route has been targeted by academia probably since rhe 70s, get a degree or you'll end up digging ditches. I don't have ANY college education, not a second.. Most of my friends have college degrees and almost all of them have a job having nothing to do with that degree and some of my younger friends are still paying of their debt. I went to a vocational high and took additional trade classes after, I have zero debt, no mortgage,no car loan and no credit card debt. Ofcourse I still have bills buy have zero debt and owned my house at 39 years old. Some of my friends with degrees went to trade school later and left the white collar world for the blue collar word and make more money being a tradesman.
The question I have that has never been answered is why does education cost so much to begin with. Every major university receives funding and grants from government and corporations to do research and development. Profs get a salary, paid to do research, paid to write books, sell their own textbooks some even get housing, TA’s do a ton of work and get paid very little. Alumni donate money for new buildings and stadiums. Football bowl games on TV usually make enough money to pay for all the athletics for the year. And yet these schools charge a fortune. So where does all the money go? That I think is one of the main problems with “ higher” education.
It costs more because tuition is subsidized. If almost anyone can get a lone to attend then they need more teachers who then need more money because it's readily available.
Andy is a 100 right I witnessed dozens of things I was at Perry point in MD I cant really say it all through a text if want to get ahold of me through Facebook messenger phone I can give alot of situations I was there for 9 months dealing with issues after a 14 month combat tour in 2006 / 2008 I was in the army 11b got cib

Cut 10 percent twice a year off the top of the budget. Have dept heads do it. Govt is cut in half in two years.
The "Spend it or Lose it" attitude, in all levels of Gvt, needs to change.
