Wow, guys. As a U.S. Navy veteran, and the proud son of a World War II Army tech corporal who served with MacArthur in the Pacific, I am just blown away proud and so very moved with BRCC's attendance at the 80th anniversary of D-Day. I was absolutely one of the very best things I have ever seen. Thank you for doing that and thank you all for your amazing service to our great nation. I also loved this podcast and I love BRCC. And thank you Tim Kennedy for re-uping while in Normandy. Super awesome. I have shed many a tear this past week watching all of this coverage. I agree with your comments and I salute you all. You, and your spirit, just like those guys that stormed the beaches 80 years ago, are what truly makes America GREAT. Well Done.

A very sincere. thank you so very much, for taking the time to film, and share your experiences in those hallowed places. It's a real privilege to sit in the comfort of my home, and in essence, hang out with you guys. I've always enjoyed Evan's coffee's, followed Tim's fight career and read his "Scars and Stripes" book, and I'm learning for my own personal development, not to feel (anything) as much as possible, from Andy. Normally in fact, I'd end that sentence with an exclamation mark as humor and enjoyment, though that's far too much emotion. See? I'm learning.

If you love history, I highly recommend taking a trip to Normandy. One of the most eye opening experiences of my life and it inspires me everyday!
What a great salute to the history of WW2 and to the brave souls who fought there and also the reflection of the pacific theater and what they endured. Evan you are correct we need more people looking at the greatness of these hero's than to the sport figures.

Bang on Tim, you need to feel it, as a soldier and as soldiers we have a duty to keep that torch alight, myself and an army mate (British army) cycled Normandie last year it rained all week one day we cycled 80 miles into wind and rain and each day we told ourselves we had it easy we saw so much more by bike like all the little villages that had some sort of monument no matter how small - we slept in shelters and tank bunkers and old farm houses (leaked like fuck btw) and cherished every minute - could not get over for the 80th (gutted) through work BUT taking my 12, 23 and 25 year olds over to Normandie in August all of them are big Band of Brothers fans so cannot wait to take them to Carentan and Sainte-Mère-Église and the Maj Winters and BOB memorial its going to be Epic obviously we are going to all the beach's as well as the American and a British cemeteries and all the other sites., such as Maisy battery and Pegasus bridge which their local Regiment took (Ox and Bucks' Light Infantry)
Amazing talk and this was a beautiful tribute to the ones that defended our freedom. Still, it broke my heart not to see M. Glover with this gang ...

I believe in the face of a national tradgedy, the sleeping giant would awaken once more. I still believe in the overall populations casting aside of differences for the whole of the nation so that we may maintain our sovereignity as one of the worlds leaders. In the grand scheme of world history our countries age can be likened to that of a toddler, and we're merely having a toddlers tantrum, but will calm and find our way once more.

a buddy that was 101st moved back to clarksville, i think so he can be close to campbell but he'll never admit that, and he told me that they're training for trench warfare and experimenting with anti drone tactics
then i heard from someone else that recon are completely changing how they operate for a theater in taiwan. removing all armor from recon platoons, adding mobile anti air. huge emphasis on guerrilla tactics. i guess the idea is to harass chinese targets if they land on taiwan. i know we have sof guys there now but unsure if recon is as well, but fairly certain they're preparing for it
trench warfare sounds like fucking hell and will just result in american bodies. the marines plan sounds really smart.
but yeah i don't think we can even come close to winning a hot war with china or russia, much less both, unless they invade us. which lol will never happen. they won't make it half way across either ocean. us deploying there tho? fuck that.

Russia wasn't involved in D-Day and Normandy. The western allies aren't invited to Stalingrad commemorations so why should Russia be invited to D-Day commemorations?
The way to peace is for Russia to leave Ukraine alone.
