- This is the great Mother and Daughter Scene with Whoopi Goldberg and Carol Burnett from the 1987 TV Special Carol, Carl, Whoopi and Robin. I searched for it for years. The quality is not great but it is the only version available on the internet so far.
I have to thank chubbchsr very, very much for all his effort. Приколы
I was 7 years old when this came out, I'm 43 years old now. I have never seen or hears of this. I love both Carol and Whoopi, and I never could have imagined that they worked together. This is so good and beautiful. I'm oh so happy that RUclips placed this in my view and thank you for sharing this so long ago!
I have been looking for this since i was five years old! It made me cry back then. not even sure how I was able to appreciate it at such a young age. Cried watching it again. How talented they both are!
Aricka Shuck cartoons
my mom used to sing this to me when i was a baby.... i had no idea it was ever from anything..... i'd still hum the song in my head when i was feeling sad.... seeing this for the first time has brought huge crocodile tears to my eyes.... wonderful skit!!! love ya mom!!!!!
My mom used to sing this to me too. She just sent me this Skit and I started balling.
This is pure gold. Carol and Whoopi are both comedic (and dramatic) actress ICONS!! This made me giggle and choke up. The ending reminds me of a beautiful children's book by Robert Munsch...."Love You Forever." 💕💕
Yes, I think that "real" great actors/actresses are those who can nail both comedic and dramatic stuff and they definitely CAN! And in one scene too.
Still makes me tear up after all these years.
me too ..... ;) / ;(
@@GothGuy885 Definitely.
I remember this when it first aired on network tv. This heart-warming skit still brings a tear to my eye. Great writing and acting by both Carol and Whoopi.
First time I've seen this since it aired way back then. Thought about it over the years. It is just as wonderful as I remember.
Just played this for my mother. How blessed I am to still have her with me!
two great talents...
I recorded this on a vcr when it aired...it made me cry then and still does. When I moved home to care for my mother, before she died, I told her about this skit and that it was like us. She said that she would have liked to have seen it. Over the years I have told many people about this skit and am glad that it can now be seen on RUclips.
I love CAROL Burnett and Whoopi Goldberg in this sketch. My favorite of all time.
Beautiful.
I think the one kind of comedy I love more than anything is the kind that becomes something much deeper, and more touching and gets you unexpectedly from underneath... God Bless both these fabulous actresses.
Happy Mother's Day. (I thought of this and here it is. Thanks for posting.) 🥀
Soo much talent , in this 👍👍👍
Very touching...I've never seen it before.
My Mom was very far from perfect but this still made me cry.
I cried back then... and cried just as hard now... What a beautiful piece... Thank You for posting this...
When I was a kid, and this aired, we recorded it on vhs. I watched it a billion times.
It just now crossed my mind, and I had to look for it... I could still quote it word for word. And now I can't stop crying! Thank you so much for sharing this so I could relive it! :')
All accurate. Carol and Whoopi together are fantastic. Whoopi used to do a stand up routine that was all characters, and she was fantastic at it.
So glad you posted this! Still makes me cry! Masterfully done by both actresses!
💯LEGENDARY❤🌟🌟7/1/20🌟🌟
SO beautifully written for these two by Carol's long time collaborators, Ken and Mitzie Welch.. EMMY WORTHY
Omg my mom just sent me this and it has me in tears. She used to sing this song to me every night before bed when I was little. For the longest time I couldn’t find it and thought it was from a movie.
Simply beautiful!
Thank you for posting this! I remember when it was on. It means even more to me now.
Thank you so much for posting the two parts to this wonderful scene. I saw the original and I've looked for it for years! It's brilliant isn't it?!
Thank you so much for sharing this! I'd never seen it before, and I'm so glad to have stumbled upon it. Beautiful, heartfelt acting by these two icons. I'm ugly crying right now..
