- Delta Force is back and no one saw this coming. Looks like there's a LOT of Battlefield DNA in here too. Let's take a look at the new Delta Force Hawk Ops gameplay and take a trip down memory lane...

@@DelucaassI have a pc and a console, but I prefer 4k/60fps … and I’m not spending an outrageous amount to build another pc when I can get the same experience for a lot less w my Xbox X. Just my opinion.

I just want a game that is in the modern day of Today and none of this magic 3 mini drones and ai robots and weapons. I just want BF3 and BF4 updated to today's real-world specs. That would be an incredible game if Dice decided to do that.

The Delta Force series was this old man’s jam back in the day. One can only hope the devs can recapture that which made this series so enjoyable.

I was so excited to hear this was being remade again but in this generation of gaming style. Brought me back to when my dad showed me this at Circuit City and I loved the triangle and the background of it. Can’t wait for the gameplay!

SOCAM Navy Seal would be top on my list. Played the crap out of that haha.
It seems like the multiplayer is make similar mistakes to bf2042 (like operators and a futuristic setting) with only a few improvements (like destruction) but the campaign does seem interesting and I hope they do that well.
Oh man. I have such fond memories of Joint Ops. Idk how it ran with such large maps and players on what was basically 56k dialup or slightly faster when it came out. My core memory for FPS gaming came from a match here. Had a pilot shot out of the helicopter I was riding in. I switched seats and saved it. Nothing groundbreaking today...but back then 🤯
Joint Ops was wild. I remember having so much fun sniping. One game I raided the enemy base, some guy hoped in the Mi-26 and I snuck in the back cargo ramp. Waited a few minutes for a free ride before shooting him. Real Mission Impossible type stuff.
Joint ops was such a blast, blowing up the vehicles was by far the best part of the multi-player

I played the original delta forces like crazy. Big time was into the mulitplayer setups that was part of it.. I love those games.
Same. The first time i played both of the OG delta forces was when i was deployed to Afghanistan in 2014. Haha! Bought the knock off CD's from a hadj shop at FOB Ghazni, and my friends and i played it on our laptops. I bought them last year on steam as well, but was kind of hard to get as indepth with it compared to 9 years ago. lmao

I played Delta Force from like 1999 to 2015. I still drop in BHD servers sometimes. People LOVED this franchise. This is huge.

I remember I first games on PC was : Delta Force and GTA2 in 1999 - 2000. So many nights in the first internet caffe in my town, playing Delta force with friends on snow map… I’ll never forget.

Oh the good ole days when you could buy a magazine and get a game demo with it and if you bought a game it was finished no day one patch for the next 6 months then they drop the game completely and still not a complete game

I have an insane amount of hours in Joint Ops for it being a game that no one remembers and I too had all but forgotten it. Thanks for the nostalgia blast, Jack!

I got Delta Force at launch, never played Delta Force 2, Delta Force 3 was a completely different game, it was piss easy.

I was almost buying a ticket to the hype train... but the the futuristic stuff came on and I went back home to play BF4.

Joint Ops: Typhoon rising was one of my favourite games as a kid; I wish it had taken off more. It was so far ahead of its time it's wild to think about now.

Joint ops was amazing. I spent so much time on that game. Still get the nostalgia of bring dropped in to a firefight on the side of a little bird. Great memories!

As a hard-core DF fan back then, I would have preferred a real Delta Force reboot instead of a CoD/BF mash-up clone. The BHD campaign remake looks fun, but the multiplayer looks nothing like DF.

@@Deltatwo3 Fair enough, but the point I was trying to make was that I personally wouldn't be too happy with a series I remember coming back as something entirely different to what it originally was.
I have very fond memories of the Delta Force series. I hope they can recreate a unique experience in the FPS world. I don't have high hopes in it beating out the BF Or COD series. Still eager to see what it morphs into.

Delta Force Xtreme was one of my first ever PC games I've ever played. I remember playing it with my dad back then :D Good times
Played Xtreme a lot too. Was my fav game! Loved the oil rig map and the custom ones. CTF was a lot of fun too.
the first missions in each campaign was amazing
I remember playing DF black hawk down a lot. Mostly created custom COOP maps and playing them over LAN with my brothers.
Named hero characters, future setting, 2042-style future-teal HUD design, wall-hack "recon arrows", and speed boost exoskeletons? Man, I haven't seen a swing-and-a-miss this bad in years. We _almost_ had a proper, normal military FPS here...
I can remember playing this back in the day, top strats in multiplayer were to get to the top of a tower, plant a claymore at the top of the ladder and get to sniping, every now and then you'd hear an explision behind you and some swearing on the voice chat, so you'd know it was time to reset the claymore!
I feel like this might be one of the first fps games where I don't just focus on the single player but the multi-player too. Haven't been like that since BF1
I am not holding my breath. If it turns out to be a good game that's a win for all of us.

I'm going to be impatient for that too, but would you prefer another half-baked beta test or a fully-functional game? More time in the oven is a good thing, assuming they actually have the funding and personnel to achieve it.

I remember spending hours on Delta Force Urban Warfare on PS1 it was a pretty intense solo game if I remember correctly

Joint operations was the game that got me into online gaming. Great memories!
Still remember snipers were better to spot in the distance than close because of the grass that in distance disappeared and just left a shade on the snipers player model

The demo of Delta force land warrior was the Sphinx level. Played it multiple times as a kid. I then switched to Delta Force Xtreme, that was my jam!

OMG Joint Ops and Delta Force were part of my childhood. I got Delta Force for my birthday and Joint Ops as a free game from Level Magazine. Gaming back in the day was so much more fun for some reason...not sure why... Must be the nostalgia.
Crazy seeing delta force games again. My parents met playing black hawk down and got married a few years later. Insane to see. Will gladly take a look at the game when it comes out.
Looks like it has good potential, here's hoping there's an option to play without the gimmicky abilities, and the skins are militaristic enough to not distract or look out of place (still shocked how far Call of Duty has fallen)
I feel like call of duty should only be a zombie game.
The only thing I could ever want from call of duty is bo3 zombies with ALL of the maps totally remastered zombies chronicles style.

Zombies was the only thing I could ever actually enjoy from them without getting bored.
Delta Force was probably the original game series to have "Specialists."

From the bits of code shown in few frames in the video, the code syntax seems to be C++. FYI, UE4.x and 5.x are written and support C++
So is many other game engines on the market :P
Even Unity3D is primarily C++ now and not C#

Being born in 2005, wasnt there for the release of delta force, but an arcade I used to play at as a kid had a ps2 with delta force black hawk down which brings back so many memories
Why can’t we just get the classic class system with the uniform soldier that everyone was content with and made battlefield different from the rest?
What worries me is the specialist /hero type of class system they are going for. But who knows could be fun if it's done right. Also I hope I have servers in my region. Which is highly unlikely unfortunately.
This is also a Tencent game. That really doesn't inspire confidence

The very first ever pc game I played was Task Force Dagger as my dad used to play it a lot with his friends. I remember sneaking onto his account when he was at work to play and it'll always be the best Delta Force for me

My dad had a PCGamer subscription back in the day with the demo disks. Every month was like Christmas and me and my brother fought over who would read it first and the other would settle for the disks. Nostalgia overload

Starting my online playing career in '98 with Delta Force and the following series back then, later being part of Nova World as Mapper and Map Reviewer, this is exciting news! Every time I moved and got my old game CD's in my hands I was like "Man, what a good time we hade back then" and now you're bringing all that back. And look how far we've come in gaming. I remember what a clusterf**k the map editor (if you could call it like that ^^) was and you actually had to count and calculate positions of every single thing by hand to make cool maps. Not sue if I like what I see and how it will be in reality later, but I am excited nevertheless. Cheers

Delta force and black hawk down and also joint ops was my all time fav combat shooter growing up. I played the hell out of those novalogic titles. I still remember to this day how sad I was when novalogic closed down the servers etc
Black Hawk Down was the second FPS i ever played. Hearing the campaign is getting a remaster is a suprise for sure.
