I just ordered a welder, its a 120 dollar DC inverter with hot start from germany with 60% duty cycle at 120 amp. Its not the best i know but im only 15 and its my first welder :D
it doesnt matter if its not a brand new vantage 400, youre learning to weld years before many others. you have a head start over almost anyone else
Awesome little welder. To me it would be perfect with a HF start and the ability to use a foot pedal. Either way it’s awesome to see a welder preform like that on 120V and a company that packs so many features into a small transportable unit.
It's useful to see these machines in action gives me an idea of what each company is about. I really want to see more fabrication, the best videos are the ones where you make cool stuff, I watch all TFS episodes but the only ones I've watched multiple times are the ones where cool stuff gets made or welding techniques are explained, they are awesome and I learn loads! Thanks! :D
More fab stuff is coming soon. The new shop isn't even wired up to run my fab machines.

Great review, but I would have love to see some pulsed stick welding. That seems crazy but alot of people are doing that now.

You should do a quick rundown on the ESAB 161 LTS. It's not as feature rich as the Fronius, or even an Everlast, but it seems like a good welder for the money. Plus, it's the one I want to buy, haha! Thanks!

Did you click the link in the description that says "Find a Fronius Dealer"? There's many to choose from and more being added regularly. You can also buy online.

Which of the welders do you think is the best out of all brands, the HTP Invertig 221, everlast, Fronius and so forth for Tig welding?
For the cash you can't beat HTP on just about any welder they sell. Fronius is ridiculously expensive, they make Miller and Lincoln seem cheap, but they could be the best machines in the world. Unless you weld all day every day HTP is just the better deal.
Oh ok. Hmm, I for some reason just like HTP, i really should not be so fanboy over brands :D I don't even know here to start to understand what TIG to start buying so i want to know from where or which is best to learn to start Tigging with.

I dont like how they make these fronius welders so easy to use that anybody can do it I'd just like to set my amperage and weld I dont need hot starts dig or arc length control i wanna adjust that myself

whats the max amps can you run on 120v for stick?
180A
I know you probably figured this out already but the transpocket 180 maxes out at 120amps on 110v with a 20amp circuit and 85amps max on 15amp circuit.
180 amps for stick is only available on 220v however in tig mode it will do 150amps on 110v and 220amp on 220v. Hopefully this answers someone else's questions. For context I have the transpocket 180 not the 180 tig.
