With intact buccal and lingual walls, why would a skilled implant practitioner not place the implant immediately after extraction and save the patient an additional operation plus cost of the Alvelac?

I has my 1 molar extracted 7 days ago its started bleeding tonight and dislodged the blood clot by accident trying to put gauze over it, it's bleeding again I just hope I don't get dry socket because I've been baying it so much the past week
this is a good thing I think.. I wish this had been available when i lost my tooth. Now, without bone grafting. I would not be able to maintain an implant. this would also help support surrounding tissues and reduce resorption. making any appliance fit better and reducing the risk of losing more teeth due to resorption.
Hello. I just had this done after an extraction of the lower right tooth, the one right next to where the wisdom tooth was. I'm now thinking that it was unnecessary, as it might not even be necessary to have an implant or bridge there because it is a back tooth. Is socket preservation even beneficial for someone who isn't having any sort of prosthetic?
If a tooth is removed and an implant is to be later placed, should the patient have a Calcium type material injected into the site after extraction for stronger future bone to form? This was done to me after extracting my molar, it was done 18 days ago. The dentist sewed the gum after he did it. I am so worried because my gum still has a hole, it did not close. I suffer from food always going inside the hole. I am using serinj with salted water to clean it and I always flush food from inside it. Is it normal that there is a hole there after 18 days? I lost 15 pounds in one week and one day I decided not to eat anything AT ALL And I was sitting on the computer and I started to get blurry eyed and began to shake and get weak. I pulled out some applesauce and bread and ate that. Body went into starvation mode or some shit lol
@chomulungma this procedure, immediate loading, needs GTR and GBR using bone grafting & membrane placement simultaneously. Otherwise, as mentioned recently in the literature, the labial plate of bone loses 30% approx. of its volume esp. occluso-cervically.

I saw you posted this a while ago but I’ll still give an answer. I’ve had the same thing done and similar timings in the day. The discomfort will be from the anaesthesia wearing off, I had it real bad but some ibuprofen will usually be enough. nothing to be concerned about unless it persists for the following 3 days after extraction. Hope this helps someone in the same situation because it can be nerve wrecking

Hi Daisy! Usually dentists will always try to preserve the natural tooth, so it's very odd for him to remove a tooth that the filling came out of. They sell a product here in the US that you can use to temporarily fill the tooth until you can make it to see your dentist. Also, it never hurts to get a 2nd opinion. I know the post is a cpl years old, but I hope you were able to get everything straightened out with your dentist. Tooth pain is horrible. I just had oral surgery performed on me yesterday after my dentist screwed my tooth up!

How long should someone use the gauze? I was told after the bleeding stops. I stopped using gauze after the first day because the bleeding stopped. The exposed filler started dissolving after 7 days. I guess the filler is only suppose to last a week.

It may be because your tooth may have caries inside the tooth which may not be visible from out side can only be reveled from radiograph
