The appraisal ratio is a powerful portfolio evaluation tool that is designed to overcome some of the limitations of the information ratio, fruitfully utilising the concepts of alpha and residual (idiosyncratic) risk. Today we will learn how to apply the appraisal ratio in portfolio management in Excel.

Hi, For the Appraisal ratio, while calculating the residual return, Why dint we use RFR in the CAPM section just the way we use it in calculating Jensen's Alpha ?
