This is great, thank you! Your speed paint series for the miniatures inspired me to try my hand at painting miniatures, deep rock was my first true tabletop game.
Thanks! I was hoping it got some peoples creative juices flowing and into the painting side of the hobby. Some really nice pictures have been on the Facebook group too for the Deep Rock board game as people start to finish up painting. I can't think of a better set of miniatures to be your first too. Nice big models, but with some good detail and sculpting. I keep staring at a mountain of Kickstarter games to paint up next, and they don't excite me nearly as much as the these.
Glad to see you posting again! I discovered your tutorials a couple of months back and I've really been enjoying them! Even if it’s a constant reminder that I can’t get my hands on the .STLs from the first kickstarter... I dont get why they dont sell them. Anyway, keep it up!
Thanks for your feedback! I definitely was a slacker this summer. Work and kids summer vacation derailed me. I've had video footage since June to edit and release. Guess I better get in the flow again before two more expansions to paint show up! :)
I think that mug was for getting the Collector's Edition, or for a day one backer on the kickstarter. Been too long to recall. The lower trays are all foamboard that I cut and glued myself. The token insert trays I 3D printed from these files here. www.printables.com/en/model/434426-deep-rock-galactic-the-board-game-organizer-deluxe
I had a few beef's I guess with the box. The map tiles just piled up and slide around. The miniature trays, while great for securing the mini during shipment, could grab a bit tight on the painted models, and sized higher then needed. Yes, Goo from above as well, wanted to fit that in. Sounds like they improved the trays in the core box in the Expansion kickstarter that just launched today.

The king has returned
Well, the peasant at least lol. I'm trying to get back in the groove and put out some content. :)

What was the point of getting rid of the original inserts? Was that just so you could get the Goo From Above expansion into a single box?
