Circuit boards are circuit boards, don't lie to people. The quality of work is definitely different depending on skills, but soldering circuit boards is not special just because it's in a car ecu.
As electican who does repair a lot of electronic staff to even smd parts and chip replacement I can say that too much flux is not a problem at all this board will outlive the car before flux corode a track.So if done properly which i didn't say it is...this is no issue
@rtfmmycompany4498 this is totally not a pass on my watch, if you can't do things to a oe standard or better you shouldn't touch it. Good enough doesn't work for me or my customers.
@@relentlessmotorsportstx397 Dude this is fine that u work by standards and keep quality high and that is why your customers work with you...Main reason ppl come to me is so that they have working device which they do almost every time as long as there isn't some custom chip that I cannot find firmware for...but don't judge ppl work some tv repair shop may have better technician than some computer store,so there skill issue more than just tv repair shop issue
@rtfmmycompany4498 I believe if someone's paying you and trusting you with their beloved belongings you treat them as if they were yours! I don't live my life half way or good enough, my house is clean my cars are clean top notch on parts used ext. So on that when I work on your belongings I treat them as if it was mine and hold them to that same standard. I want to be proud of what I do and I want you to be proud of what you got for your $ you bust your ass for. And yes I know lots of people who have done better work than me and lots who know more than me. I'm no a god or a mystical creature I'm just a guy who values what I have and do.

You rebuilt my 1994 LS400 ECU back in 2020 and it’s still running like a top today🎉 :)
Bad ass. So it's still going strong 4 years later? This made my night! I'm glad I was able to have the opportunity to work on that ecu for you.
While the flux isn't a huge deal, those joints are half ass along with leaving the legs so far above the board. This is entry level soldering.
