Josh sorry to tell you buddy, but you are wrong. That magnet is part of the white cylinder that spins, that plastic washer is not a washer but a broken piece which keeps the round magnet in place.

Circuit boards are circuit boards, don't lie to people. The quality of work is definitely different depending on skills, but soldering circuit boards is not special just because it's in a car ecu.

As electican who does repair a lot of electronic staff to even smd parts and chip replacement I can say that too much flux is not a problem at all this board will outlive the car before flux corode a track.So if done properly which i didn't say it is...this is no issue

My IS250 seems to slip when I try to accelerate on the highway. Instead of down shifting as I press the gas pedal the RPM's red line and then I get a big bang from what I assume is the transmission. Have you ever heard of this? Any information would be a huge help I appreciate it.

Would leaky caps cause a no shift to o/d in mrkiv gte. I opened up ecu saw a few leaky brown caps. Were not swollen. But I Cleaned it up. I don't seem to have any other issues. I saw you do board work.

I just recently did a complete drivetrain swap on my 2012 is250 car had the same symptoms explained in the video but never gave me any kind of code related to transmission or any check engine light what so ever was only planning on doing the transmission but got a really good deal on the engine I put In, it was from a 2014 is250 under 20k miles on it and transmission was purchased from eBay from some reputable Transmission/Engine company with approximately 40k miles on it, been driving the car for about a month now definitely running a whole lot better than before since originally mileage was at 190k but I’m slowly starting to notice the issue slowly wanting to come back so I really want to give this a shot

This is really helpful - thank you! Perhaps this is wrong, but from what I heard, this makes the ECU think that it is in park/neutral which causes it to play with the Air/Fuel ratio and make the car not provide the right power delivery. Do you know if there is any truth ti this? Once again, thank you very much because like the other person said I am a visual learner and this helps a lot. Stay safe!

What causes an ecu to stop working? Failed chips or solder joints? Depends on the car. Ecu for my truck is still pretty cheap. My ecu has a weird plastic like coating over the circuit board.
