Plant care 101 Brown edges on the leaves don't mean necessarily the plant is dying, don't worry :D Sometimes when a plant is by a window the leaves kinda burn from the sun. Some plants just don't like too much direct sunlight. Also make sure not to overwater them - you can water plants too much and they just rot and get moldy. Before watering, just feel their soil and look if there is any water in the plant pot! A plant that's pretty beginner friendly is Pothos, it's very common and cheap, and doesn't require much care :D Edit: Also I forgot to add that, but once in a while you should fertilize your plants, how often depends on the kind of fertilizer you use. And remove brown/yellow leaves since they take away nutrients from ther other still healthy leaves. Also most green plants enjoy a shower once in a while! You can either use a spray bottle to spray their leaves or take them to your shower. This also gets rid of dust on the leaves, since dusty leaves don't make for a happy plant c:
Great advice. His plants look very normal. Definitely not dying. I am a little worried he is going to start over watering them now. My personal favorite hard to "unalive" plant is the snake plant. They basically beg you not to water them.
DON'T OVER WATER YOUR PLANTS. They bounce back better from being underwatered than overwatered. Brown leaves or leaf tips can be a sign of overwatering (as well as underwatering). Check the dirt. Better to wait until it is almost crumbling and not sticking to your finger to water than have it be super damp and drowning your plant. Hope this helps! Cheers, - Florist
The first plant you showed seems to be a Diffenbachia they are amazing for lower light places and need little water. So most likely you just drowning it at the moment. But if you get the hang of it they are not to difficult to care for. Good luck!
I felt like this video was the proud walkthrough to make everyone remember he did it 'himself' and it's still cool, it may not be a cyberpunk ramen dagashi sweet shop but you can mess with his lights and it held up to an earthquake and has more JOJO thus making it better.
I've experienced this first hand. Back when I was in university I had a sandwich with Miracle Whip I found in the fridge, but it turned out it expired 3 years earlier. I told my roommate about it and he responded "Yeah, I saw that..."
Plant tips for Connor: Your plants aren't dying. The edges are likely turning brown as a reaction to a new environment and I suggest for the ones I saw as they appear more tropical to water once a week. Wait 30 secs in between filling the water to the brim of the pot as it needs time to soak into the soil and that'll help avoid drowning the plants as yes plants can drown. In fact, the number one issue I saw with customers plants when I've worked at plant nurseries is they'd overwater them. Just make sure the plants are receiving proper light and maybe in a month or two consider fertilizing them for the first time with indoor plant food. You're doing great and OHH try for your own sanity getting all your plants on the same watering day schedule because that's probably the easiest peace of mind thing you can do.

I actually really love that you can get to the balcony under the desk. I wouldn't have even guessed it was there. It feels like a secret door or something and I think that's pretty cool. Overall, nice apartment and really cool office/studio area!
Quick plant 101: Brown crispy leaf edges = Stress. Usually means too hot/cold, too much/little light, or too wet or dry! Yellow leafs = Lack of nutrition. Needs new soil or a bigger pot or both! You can do this Connor! 😋😋
the plant right from your TV is a shade-grower... leaving them in the sunlight leaves them to get ''Burned'' move it to indirect light. But your studio setup are NOICE !
For plants, the biggest killer of them is actually overwatering! I would actually give it a few days to even a week between waterings, depending on how well the soil drains.
for cable management you should've used velcro strips, to bundle them up. Then use the 3m velcro under the desk to hold them there. That way it's really easy to just undo and redo the cables.
Plant Tip for you, Connor!: You don’t have to water the plants EVERY day. If you do water them every day, they CAN die from overwatering and root rot. Give them some time to absorb and relax and then water them! About a week depending on what kind of plant you have/if the soil/rocks around the plant base is super loose and dry. Looks like you have a dumb cane (the small boi) a draceana (or palm idk) and a philodendron so they’re pretty resilient without a week of water. Also if you want a plant that is super self sufficient and doesn’t need too much, get yourself a pothos. You can hang em, put em on a shelf and let them grow long. They’re easy and super green! Hope that helps! Really sick studio/apartment!

Zelda was originally supposed to be sci-fi themed, as the concept art for it was more technological. The reasoning for Link's name was retconed after Nintendo switched to a medieval fantasy setting because a link in a network makes more sense than "a link between the player and the game." (Yes I believe that was what Nintendo said about it)

They all have done rather well in the past couple of years, it seems like Conner, Trash Taste, and Chris Abroad have evolved and all their hard work has paid off to create their ideal studios and living spaces. Very cool!
Browning on leaves is usually a sign of over watering. There's like a probe thing you can get to check the soil, but you can also just jam a finger in the soil and feel if the top half inch is dry. The office looks awesome, so bright and colorful!
The office looks amazing man! You are right to be proud and to show it off! I've been trying to soundproof a window in my apt. for ages now and you've re-inspired me to look into it more
The fact that you're not watering the plants daily may be what's keeping them alive. It's a common misconception. You should probably look up how often to water each type of plant, though you usually want to wait until the soil it's in is dry.

the amount of sheer happiness this man has for he's studio. it looked amazing and even the living room looked nice. we can see that you put a shit ton of afford into that room and some other rooms too.
I would recommend you get low maintenance plants such as: Aloe Vera (good for skin too), Cactus, Succulents, Bamboo. You can look into more low maintenance plants, but in general you need to water them once a month depending on a plant. Another problem with your current plants if what you said is true than it's not dying because you missed couple days to water them but the opposite, you water them to much in very general spectrum you could water most plants when the dirt is fully dry.
the brown ends on the either mean: You over watered It's getting damaged by AC and is drying out because of it (try moving it away from the vents lol amogus) Anyway best thing is to water that bad boy once every week, check that the plate under it doesnt have too much water or too little. One way to check is either buy a humidty stick or put your finger in the soil to see if its dry or moist. Dry will die of thirst, too much water will cause root rot which is VERY hard to salvage Your other plant (the smaller one) seems fine, it seems to be changing leaves and is dropping an old/dying one Succulents are easy but you can kill them with water too, so be careful Hope this helps, congrats on being a plant dad!
My plant is an undying king - it has no light, is covered in dust and I hardly ever water it (because I forget). But it's been with me for a couple of years now. Somehow... I used to water it when it's leaves dropped down (they normally point up). So basically when it looks like it's dying. Somehow it gets back up, which I am glad for. I'm a terrible plant owner/caretaker, that's why I never buy plants (I don't understand why ppl give me plants...) But thank you for the information. Now I probably know why the ends of the leaves turn brown. 0-0 I should go water it now... And maybe thank it for not giving up on itself...

Thank you for this comment. My plants have survived another dry winter. (Also, I have a suspicion Connor bought the same plants from Amazon I did. They died shortly after arrival. I think shipping a 36” palm a few thousand miles is probably bad for the plant in hindsight.)
I know it's basic but I really want a succulent. Back when I worked the garden department at Walmart, a little succulent plant was abandoned by my register. It was called a California Sunset and the guy that put the plants and fertilizer up didn't get the little thing until days later. So, I let my plant keep me company as it could get very boring back there (and often, my managers flat out forgot about me, meaning my lunches were late and even sometimes clocking out...). I was sad when the succulent was finally either put back or purchased but hopefully it goes to a good home. I didn't buy it because I wanted it for my bedroom but the bedroom I was in at the time had a mold problem that already was keeping me sick. The plant likely would've died in there.
I recommend you go to Amazon and get some self watering plant pods. Once the roots are long enough they drink water from the little reservoir that way you keep your greenery actually green. Also some plants like more/less sunlight so you gotta kinda play around with them and find their sweet spot close or far away from windows. Good luck 👍

You can get plants that have low watering needs (like once a week), such as the Ficus (rubber tree) or Monstera Deliciosa (you know, the one with large leaves with holes). Rule of thumb, brown = dry leaves, yellow = overwatered. You just need to find a low-maintenance plant that suits you. :)

Gotta love how Mousey is in the "I'm lazy and I give up drawer".
I saw that, I was like "goddammit Mudan lol"

A plus of all the sound deadening/damping: Your audio is AMAZING now. Crystal clear. No harsh frequencies. No reverb. So crisp.
Man I needed this. Seeing Connor so proud of his home really puts me in a good mood 🙂
I actually really love that you can get to the balcony under the desk. I wouldn't have even guessed it was there. It feels like a secret door or something and I think that's pretty cool. Overall, nice apartment and really cool office/studio area!
Quick plant 101:
Brown crispy leaf edges = Stress. Usually means too hot/cold, too much/little light, or too wet or dry!
Yellow leafs = Lack of nutrition. Needs new soil or a bigger pot or both!
You can do this Connor! 😋😋
Liked because Conner needs advice for his plants
Not gonna lie. The studio looks so clean. Noice Connor.
7:47 that white light inbetween the posters is such a underrated design. Might copy that.
Well
His house still looks exactly as it should be, perfectly messy
as it should be
Connor: Is this mayo gone off?
Connor: Yeah, it's gone off
**puts it back in fridge**
Just ike any normal human being would do
I literally was like "why?!"
the plant right from your TV is a shade-grower... leaving them in the sunlight leaves them to get ''Burned'' move it to indirect light.
But your studio setup are NOICE !
Connor is rightfully proud of the work he's done for his office.
Damn, that shit looks so good.
I think Connor needs a butler to look after him. His kitchen is a big enough reason to hire a maid
Spoiler alert: Connor is both the butler AND the meido.
bro he should hire a butler on fiverr for a week or something
@@Himeros24 He's an even worse meido (or better, depending on whatever floats your boat)
the skype logo has commented
it's really not that bad, trust me. I'm something of an authority on dirty kitchens.
your next task, install a fire alarm in there 🤣
It’s no Chris Ramen by any means but still a great studio.
XD you could see he kinda looked dead inside in Chris's video.
Came here straight after that video lol
I think the square-gaps for hiding LED wires is genius and I’m gonna roughly implement that
Thanks connor
For power cable management, velcro strips to hang the power board upside down really did help in managing cables
when people said "Go touch grass" Connor
Connor started growing grass to touch
😂
0:59 Oh god seeing that giant cutting mat all folded like that hurts. FIX IT CONNOR!
It's funnier how the perfectionists paper model dude was the one saying it legendary response
damn, that hurts to look at
That's probably gone, warped from Japanese summer heat. At least we'll never see monke wreak destruction on waifu model kits again.
Please roll it up into a tube at least.
I don't see what it is?
Ah nvm, found it. The green one. Yeah... Oof
For plants, the biggest killer of them is actually overwatering! I would actually give it a few days to even a week between waterings, depending on how well the soil drains.
for cable management you should've used velcro strips, to bundle them up. Then use the 3m velcro under the desk to hold them there. That way it's really easy to just undo and redo the cables.
you can't tell me what to do
STFU Aslong it works and looks nice its all good
@@foxban7148 calm down, he was just suggesting some stuff.
@@foxban7148 damn kid, calm down and touch grass
Connor made me tear up watching this. Just seeing how passionate he is so inspiring and wholesome.
TRUE
Connors fortress of solitude! I like it bro. Nice job. Cozy and nerdy badass 👍
I like how he keeps saying "I should have cleaned before I filmed this part" as if he can't just stop recording, clean, and then resume recording.
Well he's too lazy to do that either XD
Because one hour of taping becomes two hours of cleaning.
Plant Tip for you, Connor!:
You don’t have to water the plants EVERY day.
Anyone else giddy happy and proud of Connor? "It's not perfect but it's mine" is a massive adulting milestone. He did an amazing job and he has his priorities in order. Also, kitchens that get used get messy. He's not a slob, he's human and it's endearing. I love the office and cable management. I may steal some of his ideas to use in my office. Who knew soundproofing could serve another purpose.
using by storing your uber eats bags and coffee cups lol. i mean if i made ridiculous amounts of money without an actual job Im sure my place would look way worse
When the desk started slowly rising I was so impressed! And then he revealed that you have to crawl under the desk to access the balcony and it made me chuckle so much. Chaotic genius
I love how comfy and confident (or just lazy) Connor is with us and shows the apartment just the way it is :)
Highly recommend getting some plant watering bulbs. I only need to refill mine once a week. Also super cool with you geeking out abot your room...I geek out about what I did in renoing/designing my apartment. I need to tackle my office cubby in Jan/Feb and was trying to get ideas.
it’s genuinely nice to see Connor get excited about his office and all the work he put into it!! also his jojo brainwashing worked I’m on part 2
Okay, for real, raising the desk to get to the balcony sounds like a child dream that i didn't know i had lol
adding depth to the ceiling is props to the interior architect for making illusion actual space in Tokyo or something
I actually love the fact that you have to raise your desk to get to the balcony, like it’s straight out of Zelda 😳
Zelda was originally supposed to be sci-fi themed, as the concept art for it was more technological. The reasoning for Link's name was retconed after Nintendo switched to a medieval fantasy setting because a link in a network makes more sense than "a link between the player and the game." (Yes I believe that was what Nintendo said about it)
Seems like you really took Felix's critique to heart lol Honestly though, I really like your home. It seems exactky like the kind of home I would like to live in if I was a streamer - not too big, not too small, neat setup and just overall a chill setting.
Also, the choccy milk still makes me smile every time I see it.
Yeah same. I couldn't help smiling the instant I saw it.
"Those who know, you know" I loved that part XD
Connor - "man I'm so proud of my studio! look at all my posters."
Chris Broad - "Yeah man, real cute... hold my beer."
They all have done rather well in the past couple of years, it seems like Conner, Trash Taste, and Chris Abroad have evolved and all their hard work has paid off to create their ideal studios and living spaces. Very cool!
you cant compare Chris broad with anitubers. Chris is a pro and a perfectionist. he does things with a plan and for a reason.
@Angelina He which Chris you think we are talking about?
@Angelina He he is a villain and a mastermind who plans everything with very precision to lure us in to his channel. 😂
Connor : what's up my fellow mistakes-
Me: *violently choaks on tea* that knowledge is classified information...
"I think the mayo's gone off... Yeah, that's gone off."
Immediately puts it back in the fridge.
That's some peak bachelor energy, bro.
Ikr lmfao 😂
Just came (from ilyanimations' art teacher video) to say, I love your voice so much!
Videos like this really reminds us that the monke is actually a grown ass adult who functions normally in a society.
Browning on leaves is usually a sign of over watering. There's like a probe thing you can get to check the soil, but you can also just jam a finger in the soil and feel if the top half inch is dry. The office looks awesome, so bright and colorful!
when he mentioned he "forgot" to water them for two days, I thought "I'm glad they got a short break from drowning"
The office looks amazing man! You are right to be proud and to show it off! I've been trying to soundproof a window in my apt. for ages now and you've re-inspired me to look into it more
Connor showing off his dedication making a whole soundproof room shows that he was really affected by the noise complaint lmao
Every youtuber at some point XD
The dmg multiplied by twice if the letter sent in JPNese language.
The fact that you're not watering the plants daily may be what's keeping them alive. It's a common misconception. You should probably look up how often to water each type of plant, though you usually want to wait until the soil it's in is dry.
This is the only house tour I’ve ever seen on RUclips that is in any way relatable.
I was starting to think that everyone lives in some perfectly maintained model apartment decorated by an interior designer 😂
I swear, more than half of what what he said currently applies to my house.
This just shows what a dedicated workaholic Connor really is.
You could argue that most RUclipsrs are workaholics
It’s no retro Japanese alleyway but you’ve made it your own. Congrats Connor!
10:23 I have no idea where to find these kinds of THICC floor tiles...
I love how Connor legit doesn't want a mansion or anything. He just wants a nice apartment that fulfils his needs. And tbh, same!
what? that is a massive apartment in japan standards.
@@iaoshua by mine, there's barely any space
@@iaoshua Yeah that place probably costs an arm and a leg. Also ironic because most apartments like that are technically called "mansions" in Japan
@@iaoshua Connor said in his video that he didn’t want a mansion. Implying that no matter where he lived he didn’t want one. Also, Japan’s standard is extremely low compared to the rest of the world
The rent will probably be around 4000-5000 dollars a month or even more depending on the location. Which I don't think is cheap.
As a former geoguesser, yes we can find you house just based on that balcony view trust me.
Edit: this is why i relate to your intro
Connor have the incredible power to transform any brand new place kitchen in a shit hole! And take care of those plants (I would recommend easy plants such as Sansevieria or Potus)
Connor's wire management is still more organised than my life right now 😂
You'll get there, one step at a time.
As someone who always has disinfectant wipes near me or in my general area, I can confirm that those wet wipes are indeed NOT for gross things. Gotta keep everything pristine, no matter how mundane it is.
Looks great man! I suck with interior decor, so your office amazed me with how nice it was
the amount of sheer happiness this man has for he's studio. it looked amazing and even the living room looked nice. we can see that you put a shit ton of afford into that room and some other rooms too.
Better title: Connor being happy showing us his home
I would recommend you get low maintenance plants such as: Aloe Vera (good for skin too), Cactus, Succulents, Bamboo. You can look into more low maintenance plants, but in general you need to water them once a month depending on a plant. Another problem with your current plants if what you said is true than it's not dying because you missed couple days to water them but the opposite, you water them to much in very general spectrum you could water most plants when the dirt is fully dry.
When Connor gets a baby
"So I thought babies were good at surviving"
“So I thought they did photosynthesis, but that was just the plants.”
Highly recommend getting a snake plant!
I kill all of my plants but I only water once every 6-8 weeks & it’s thriving :)
Connor being proud of his office and showing it off to us is the highlight of my week it was so nice seeing him happy like this
the brown ends on the either mean:
You over watered
It's getting damaged by AC and is drying out because of it (try moving it away from the vents lol amogus)
Anyway best thing is to water that bad boy once every week, check that the plate under it doesnt have too much water or too little. One way to check is either buy a humidty stick or put your finger in the soil to see if its dry or moist. Dry will die of thirst, too much water will cause root rot which is VERY hard to salvage
Your other plant (the smaller one) seems fine, it seems to be changing leaves and is dropping an old/dying one
Succulents are easy but you can kill them with water too, so be careful
Hope this helps, congrats on being a plant dad!
I'm a terrible plant owner/caretaker, that's why I never buy plants (I don't understand why ppl give me plants...)
But thank you for the information. Now I probably know why the ends of the leaves turn brown. 0-0
I should go water it now... And maybe thank it for not giving up on itself...
@@Alice00001 chivalry basics: girls get plants to show how pretty they are. And if you have 3 you will get more since you show interest in gardening(unless stated otherwise in big letters above garden), but I'm just guessing,(and the "(wheat)flour( or egg) in diapers"(maternal instinct) test, if they give you a live plant(or animal) and have back stage motives, if you know what i mean (this sounds wrong, but unfortunately i can't do it better)).
Thank you for this comment. My plants have survived another dry winter.
(Also, I have a suspicion Connor bought the same plants from Amazon I did. They died shortly after arrival. I think shipping a 36” palm a few thousand miles is probably bad for the plant in hindsight.)
You just need the right plants. Some really great ones that are easy to take care of are ZZ plants and Sansiverias! 😊
Spider plants are easy to keep and get huge fast
I am a big fan of the plastic variety
Congratulations!!!🎊 It looks good!!!
Rest of the house: Messy
His Office: Amazing
*Perfectly balanced as all things should be*
I recommend you go to Amazon and get some self watering plant pods. Once the roots are long enough they drink water from the little reservoir that way you keep your greenery actually green.
Also some plants like more/less sunlight so you gotta kinda play around with them and find their sweet spot close or far away from windows. Good luck 👍
This is kinda random but you are the only RUclipsr I have watched for a long time like 3-4 years ,before you had a million subscribers and I remember the videos being so different and I love the video you do even now I love the video even more and the studio looks so beautiful ❤️😭
Really nice place over all and I'm quite jealous of the studio room.
Not as visually impressive as Chris's cyberpunk movie set but surely a lot more practical.
man you're a legend having that much patience, I'd never be able to build all that
