How to open a rear door on a vauxhall Astra H, Corsa,C, D and zafira could be a permanent fix or a temporary fix depending on how worn the locking mechanism is.
1) Get in the car, lock it, and open the window to the stuck door. 2) pull the inside lever of the door that's stuck and keep it pulled with tension. 3) with the lever kept pulled, unlock/lock the car using your fob a few times but end with it being unlocked. 4) with the lever still being pulled, reach through the window and open it from the outside. 5) the door now opens from the outside. 6) take child lock off 7 door now opens from inside and outside. This is the exact process that worked for me with a zafira after trying everything else
Omg this works!!! I also had child lock on, if you lock doors while your inside, then try the door from inside, get someone to try the outside after, it opens (then the alarms go off) but then you can turn child lock off and get the problem fixed. You just saved me a fortune trying to get door panel off by a mechanic! Thank you!!!
The actual cause of the problem is the wiring in the rubber trunking that goes from the door to the door puller that has broke or rubbed through and shorted, do me a favour please and subscribe to my channel, it will help others find the video when they search for the same problem. Thanks

I have the same problem. I have to press the central locking button for the door to open. However, it is now making a humming/beep noise coming from the centre console, where the radio is? I'm thinking it could be down to the door sensor / magnet possibly? as it does not make the sound when open, only when closed or if the door is close to being closed?
This is exactly what my Zafira does. As soon as you close the door again it locks itself. Got the MOT due next month. What needs to be replaced? The wiring or the lock itself? Thanks

I did try this and it worked but now the right passenger door has the same issue so I tried the thing but then the left passenger door again won’t open. It’s very strange.
Even if the child lock is on this still works just lock it with the key then pull the inside handle then unlock with the key then it will open from out side

It fixes nothing, it only means that you need to check wires connected to this door. There are (usualy) 7 wires, two are going to speaker, and 5 to door lock, and it looks like your "unlock signal" wire is almost broken. It's this car normal issue that wires are broken after few years of opening and closing doors.
Never said it was to fix the problem it's a fix to gain entry upto them if they want to take the door card off and investigate as for this on we had to repair the loom job done.
@@MegaPianogenius this is a really late reply. This is how to open a Vauxhall Astra door, why on earth do you think it would work for a Skoda? 🤔 Also, you still got the car and how did you fix it? No, I haven't got one but it's always nice to know when things have been fixed 👍

I might need to try this. When one door unlocks, the other door locks. How odd?
Just tried it and yes it works, door open and closed good but as soon as you lock with key fob again it won't open !! ?
Problem is the car alarm goes off evertime I try to do this 😂

I feel like mine would work if only I didn't have child lock on... Doh!
You'll have to cut the door card I'm afraid.

I fixed mine by doing exactly what was on the video, the the stupid fucker that i am forgot and put the childlock on. Up creek without a paddle now

What if the child lock is on when it happens? ,🙈
Your a bit knackered you have to cut the inner door card to gain access to the locking mechanism.
You can still use the same method..
Lock the door with the key then pull the inside handle then unlock with the key then pull the outside handle
Pull the outside handle instead
