Info supplied was spot on. Right down to cold weather freezing washer bottle causing fuse break. Shame I had not seen this vid before buying new tailgate switch!

Hi do you know what fuse is for the boot on a vauxhall meriva petrol 2010
It's the same for a zafira and not shown in the haynes wiring diagrams but was listed, F8 washer tailgate. great video thanks.
I'm having an issue on my 2004 Astra H, where the remote central locking doesn't work and neither is it working when I turn the key in the drivers door. I've checked the fuze, that wasn't blown, I checked the ignition key barrel and that didn't resolve the issue either. However I can still lock the car from the button inside. I hope someone can help me, as I've tried almost everything. Cheers.
Had similar problem, Lee sells the door pillar looms and if that’s not the problem it might be the circuit board on the boot
I've changed the fuse, washer pump works front and rear, still the tailgate won't open on zafia B, any ideas ?
Very misleading that fuse, I’ve had this before on a Renault Megan where the fuse doesn’t protect the circuit it says it does in the fuse diagram ..... great find 👍
I have the same problem on a meriva A 2008,could that be the washer motor fuse as well?
On my corsa e I have no idea where the taillight fuse is I cannot work it out at all any advice please?
Hi just bought my daughter a 55 plate vauxhall astra estate. Central locking not working after 1 week and horn not working either. No idea about cars and don't want to get stung with a big charge from the garage. Any ideas on what I should get them to look at please so that I half sound like I know what I am talking about!! Any guidance gratefully received.
Victoria Hewitt-Smith this should be two very simple faults to diagnose without you having to say anything. Where are you located, I may be able to refer you.

My Astra 06 plate the central locking has stopped working when I turn the egnition off the radio still stays on the locking works from the switch on the dash but not on the keys I've changed battery in key without success any suggestions would changing relay help

You get this a lot in the winter when the washers freeze n pop the fuse....then you cant operate the tailgate. I beleive the fuse next to it is for the wipers
Problem with passenger door on central looking works sometimes then refuses to open any idear plz 12plate astra petrol
may have your advies i have an Opel Astra H and problem with the remote key i can"t slot the doors correctly , the remote doesn't work so i use the key to open and to shut doors , i have changed many times the battery of the remote key but the problem still the same and ...now sometime the 5 door open without signal just so .. Sorry for my bad english and don't laught

No need to apologise for your English. It sounds like you have an issue with the body module, maybe water ingress. You don't want to hear this but I do recommend taking this to a specialist, you will waste a lot of time and money guessing without proper testing.

Bugger! Tried this with my Twintop, bud sadly, it’s not worked as the fuse is fine!
Think I have another issue entirely, as I can’t lock the car at all now, but could before.
It’s keyless entry and start too and before it would even start, but would lock!
Now it will start, but won’t lock 😂

I have problem with my 1.7 2006 astra h, boot 'opened door' sensor stays on constantly, with dash light and beeping signal any idea how to solve it? Is it a fuse thing or worse
Probably a position switch or broken wires in the tailgate. I have another video on a VW golf boot catch
@@SimplyDiagnostics thank you, have u heard about reseting the luggage fuse module by unclipping that 4 harnesses for 15sec? Is that worthy and safe to do with battery on?
Personally I'd be testing whilst the fault is present without disturbing any wiring or connectors.
My rear left door won't open, when using remote to lock/unlock it makes the right sound but when pulling the inside and outside handle it doesn't open the door,astra 1.7 cdti 2006
It looks like something is missing from inside the lock cos when I pull the handles there is no tension ,only for like a split second on the one handle inside
