I live in Brazil and here we call it "panqueca". A fun fact is that we have two types of pancakes: sweet and salty. The sweet ones, we use condensed milk or honey, just like american pancakes. The salty ones, we use vegetables or meat. It's delicious!! Plus I liked your video a lot. Will try this recipe!
There is also a variety of pancake made in the Northeast region, called "bruaca". Bruacas can be made with condensed milk and flour or just with milk, flour and sugar. They can be fluffy or flat and it goes very well with coffee
In Sweden, our pancakes all called “pannkaka”. They’re less sweet than American pancakes, & also not as thick (but thicker than French crepes!) We top them with fresh cream & usually lingonberry jam. Lingonberry jam is hard to explain if you’ve never had it. The closest thing to it I guess it would taste like would be cranberries, but lingonberries are more sweet & berry like.
In Russia we call pancakes “bliny” and have some specific recipes like “oladiyi” that means little pancakes and “draniki” Belarusian-style potato pancakes
@@Sonjaaa111 When it's single, "blin", it can be used as a mild swear word like shit or blimey, because it sounds a bit like a much cruder word, then one that is an equivalent of the English f-word. But it is not that bad. 😄

In France we also call them pancakes because we don’t really have a word other than crêpe but à crêpe is really thin so it’s not the same. But in my region (Franche-comté) we make really thick crêpes and call them crâpés and it’s usually made with apples in it 🥰.
