    It's an ancient chinese coin, the oldest chinese coins that made in this shape were about 2000 years ago, they were made of copper and have standard weight, there are words on them that show the weight or the time that they were produced.

Somewhere up there. He grew up there - left ti - work in nyc - then returned home to explore the place of his childhood. He remembered odd things. What I recall is ... he thinks that when that Chinese Emperor sent that H-U-G-E group of Chinese ships to sail around the world - about 75 years before Columbus - they created a harbor there. He found evidence - like a place to harbor and repair ships. I dont remember much else - but he had photos and a really persuasive story. We have(had?) the book in our library about 15 years ago. That ax part they found could be part of a boxing ax use to cut boxes in pine trees to collect pine sap used in making Turpentine ( related to the pine tar kiln ) ( made from the sap of live trees) Pine tar is made from the hearts of dead pine trees ( fat laddard ) found in old tree stumps etc. The stumps are placed in a metal container and heated over the fire to cook the tar out of the stumps. That might explain the nails in the soil around the fire pit. The tar was used to waterproof sails and ropes on ships , The tar was also cooked down to a thicker consistency to use to seal up cracks in ships hulls etc.

    Copper cash is the general terms of Chinese ancient currency made of copper which turned up in the Qin Dynasty (221 BC-206 BC), a dynasty leaving so many legacies to the Chinese people such as the Great Wall and the Terracotta Army.
    People in ancient times believed that the heaven is round and the earth is square, which is one of the reasons why the copper coin has the round shape and a square hole in the center.

    • @johnwoa
      @johnwoa 3 года назад +3

      @Max Steel It is indeed a Chinese Cash coin, and Gary Drayton "deliberately" said it was probably 16th or 17th century because this sensation-oriented show is scripted and by stating that particular date range, it just prolongs the suspense to the next episode ... or maybe even the episode after that. That coin is much, much older than that. Chinese Cash coins have their origins as far back as the 4th century BC. For this coin to be found on Oak island is not far-fetched! Keep in mind, Mahone Bay got its modern-day name from all the long, oar-driven row boat shipwrecks in the Mahone Bay region, and those shipwrecks are ancient. I don't think this Reality TV shows tells you any of this!

      Not only that, several ANCIENT stone anchors with holes cut in the middle of them were found many decades ago by previous searchers on the seabed of Mahone Bay in the vicinity of Oak Island. I don't believe this was ever mentioned on the show. Those ancient stone anchors could tie in with the Chinese Cash coin and could indeed change North American history as we know it!

    Oak Island: We found an old chinese coin.
    CCP: Oak Island belongs to China since ancient times!
    Careful there, you might suddenly have a military airport on Oak Island and a couple of new artificial CCP Islands springing up there overnight.
    Or maybe 'History' is trying to attract Chinese interest and investment for the show.

    When this show first began it was exciting due to the potential for success. I figured with a multimillionaire investor onboard chances of recovery were much higher than the previous efforts.
    But... as soon as the pattern was established of baiting viewers in during the days prior to the latest episode with implied scores turning into virtually nothing, I was done. This is my first time back in a long time and I see nothing has changed. At this point I'm convinced the entire island was a human creation and the only chance of successfully uncovering the whole story is by completely removing the island itself.
    Sounds like a crazy idea, but there have been manmade islands built and taken down, long before declassification made it known to the public.

    • @johnwoa

      Very interesting! When the searchers discovered in the 1800's that the entire beach at Smith's Cove was man made and there were all the non-indigenous towering Canopy Oak Trees that lined the shore adjacent to Smith's Cove which clearly served as landmarks for incoming ships, not to mention the ancient ship's mooring iron ring that was found embedded into a submerged rock at the beach, etc.... I pay heed to your 'Comment' !

      @@charlieharper8477 They'll have to go a lot deeper than 100 ft. at Oak island. They would have to go at least 230 feet deep to reach the now-submerged cavern(s). There is no "treasure" per se. It would be archaeological in nature and probably religious in significance. The spin-off show(s) is something I'm not interested in.

    • @johnwoa
      @johnwoa 3 года назад +1

      @@charlieharper8477 To be honest, nobody knows what they are looking for on Oak Island. Sure, there are MANY different theories, but nobody really knows. I've been following this saga since 1962 and, up until recent times, everybody was searching for pirate treasure (i.e. gold Doubloons and Pieces of Eight) in relation to the Money Pit and that was all the rage, even at the time of the Restall tragedy. In the zeal to find pirate treasure, archaeological clues were destroyed that would have probably solved the Oak Island mystery long ago. Sure, Samuel Ball found pirate/privateer treasure on the island which made him very wealthy, but the contents of the Money Pit is a totally different thing. Don't put all your stock in this sensation-oriented "Entertainment" Reality TV show. More than one Oak Island "insider" has stated that there are things about Oak Island that are not being told on this Reality show. As for "treasure", a discovery of archaeological significance (e.g. an ancient religious tomb or religious artifacts) would be considered a treasure! As for the "230 feet", Borehole 10X is 233 feet deep to be exact. We don't know what exactly is down there in the cavern(s) because this stupid show walked away from 10X, never to return, when it looked like we would get answers and possibly solve the Oak island mystery. The "powers-that-be" don't want to get answers and solve the Oak Island mystery because... Why kill a cash cow now??? When Dan Blankenship excavated Borehole 10X to 217 feet, he entered a cavity (i.e. cavern) that was 16 feet in height and what was seen was evidence that a major undertaking/project occurred beneath the island in ancient times. Of course, when the diver went down Borehole 10X on this TV show, he came back up and basically said, "Nothing to see here folks!" Everything that had been shown on the initial sonar imagery had suddenly disappeared... LMAO!!! What a scam! That cavern is part of a labyrinth beneath the island and whatever was in the alleged "Chappel Vault" that collapsed into the depths below in 1861 is moving around underground in silt and sand due to the water currents and tidal flow. That's why Marty Lagina found his Toonie nearly ten feet away from where he originally dropped it--- he dropped it in one borehole and it wound up being hammergrabbed in another subsequently-dug borehole. To get a comprehensive overview of the Oak Island mystery, you should research it. I suggest the 1988 and 2004 books by D'Arcy O'Connor. There are also archival records on the Internet. As for what I believe is buried at Oak Island at the Money Pit, the primary clue is that the "missing" 90-foot stone was found with the symbols/inscription"face down" in the Money Pit, clearly not meant to be seen by anybody digging down into the pit. This fact is verified more than once in archival records. If the inscription was "face down", then it was meant to be seen/read BY SOMEONE WHO WAS BELOW. In that event, the widely-known "forty feet below..." translation of the symbols is just a pure coincidence. The symbols, which first came to light in a 1949 publication, are pretty much genuine and are from the Tifinagh alphabet which has its origins from before to shortly after the time of Jesus Christ. Those symbols connect it to the Middle East. There are at least two (2) other things regarding Oak island that directly connect it to the Middle East (i.e. the piece of human bone that was confirmed by a forensic scientist in Nova Scotia to be a Middle Eastern FEMALE and also the non-indigenous towering Canopy Oak Trees that lined the east shore of Oak island near Smith's Cove and were found only on Oak Island and none of the other 360+ islands in Mahone Bay), and I could go on and on and on with other facts..... The best way to learn about Oak Island before this Reality TV show was ever thought of is to do research with factual books and a handful of good television Documentaries that aired many years ago. Sorry so Lengthy!
