The “treasure” is the money they have earned faking the search of a treasure. Genius entertainment!!!
Oh my god My grandma woke up from coma and this guys still didn't find the treasure 🤦♂️
I’m very glad to hear your grandma woke up 👍. But you will need to ask your grandkids what they found in about 20 more years 😂

Carter managed to find King Tut’s tomb in less time, with no heavy machinery or “modern” equipment.

Last night I got woken up by a massive smash and crash . I got up out of bed and looked out the window and it was gary with his metal detector searching for the treasure of oak island in the uk .
Hes getting further and further away every week 😆😆😆😆😆

@Flasher Trasher have you got your settlement from the Boy Scouts yet?
ancient axe found that belonged to Captain Kid . Testing showed that it had 3 replaced handles and 4 replaced heads over the centuries but it was Kidds axe for sure.
Are you "KIDD"ing me?
I love all the new discoveries they have been making.
.who could not find this the most interesting show on earth
....Jack and Gary work so well together with their bubbly personalities...they are wonderful....the other team members are also terrific!!!! I. I've a n not wait until they can go into the Garden area after it is comoleted...it is sooooo exciting...I wish I could have been apart of their team....it is soooo melee too.
Excuse the goffey texting...goffey phone.
Keep searching boys, maybe you'll find Jimmy Hoffa .
This show got the axe!
This show should get the axe!
Loved the episode!! Couldn't believe the mapping that came back. Wow!! But I don't thing the axe heads showed a camp site. Thanks!!
It’s always “Metal Detection Expert - Gary Dratton” never just Gary Dratton. Do you suppose he has that as a requirement in his TV contract?
He's very well known
Maybe by now Gary would be sufficient
He also found a penknife that he pulled from his shirt pocket. He salts the ground then goes over it with his professional metal
Detector
I like your pirate cap, any idea where I can get one please?
If the axes were really "old" they would not have been discarded, they would have had new handles made. The billing of minor finds and billing them as 'TREMENDOUS' seems to be the legacy of this series.,
I'd use a grid to metal detect the whole island
I’ve been wondering that the whole show. They finally bringing Gary Drayton and I don’t think they asked him what he would do. I think they just keep telling him to go places.
Does this mean the series is going to be axed?
Why do I watch this?🤦♂️
Because this show is highly addictive.
"Look, anotha Bobby Dazzla"
Could it be that this axe head was once knights Templar ?could it mean that a common axe produced by the hundreds of thousands for common agricultural based daily life means there treasure ...Ah No
They will drag this on for years and years more. Look what I found? great...Look what I found? Great! Look what,, arrrr shut up...
Nice Trifecta Mate!
I only watched it to read the comments lol very entertaining wish the show was this good
Could it be that what I'm saying is a joke? Could it be for years and years I've been lying to you? Or could it be that the show is a hoax? Stay tuned for the next 5 years and you'll have your answer
They found an axe head!I'm impressed!
Bruh it’s an island not a country this should have been found in one or two weeks not over the course of 8 seasons
8 very long tedious seasons with a cliffhanger at the end of each who wrote the script, the writers from "Days of Our Lives"?
small axes are required to make cribbing for the shafts ??
Could it be? Is it possible? Just Axe Gary!
Blimey!!!!
Hmmm, I wonder if I have been their before 🤔
Reincarnation?.....
There are that many tools in the area as its likley there was a ship either repaired or broken up in the swamp area.
WOW!! Metal Detection Expert Gary Drayton scored big time!! Bet that axe head is worth a fortune---maybe a million bucks
A camp on oak island. Is it possible. And a trail. No way.
They’ll be finding the treasure any day now
😆😄😂
Yeah, because they "axed" for it!
all the trees around him have been felled... is he being serious?
Next time I need a new axe I can go to Lowes and ask for a Forrest axe? Not a single bit axe or a double bit axe but a Forrest axe! The salesman wouldn't know what I was talking about and wanted to know where I got the idea of a Forrest axe. When I told him I learned all about axes from watching The Curse of Oak Island he laughed and told me those guys on the show are green horns.
What? No puuha?
you need ground penertrating radar of the full island then you can pinpoint the areas of most intriguing results and you only need to doit once the results won't change and are better as a map than the overwhelming overgrowth that you cannot get your head around.
alien has already taken the treasure lol, they re just waitting their times hahaha lol
Remeber the palmfiber keeps the nuphilums septic tank full of water.
If all you people making comments really hate this show, why do you continue to watch it? If you don't like it, don't watch it. Those of us who do like it will continue to tune in every week and enjoy.
That axe head could be worth millions.
I read the comments and most are people being funny, but I think they will find something in the end.
If we can watch that long? I gave up/lost interest 3 years ago seems like I didn't miss out on much?
Yes they will =more wood more old searcher or land owners tools and more debt
An island.. called Oak Island… that hasn’t got any oaks left on it. Not for over a hundred years…..And they find a couple of old axes…. WOW shocking.. how could that happen.
Those" axes " are 1880s manufacture. Industrial revolution early mass production maybe even as late as 1930 ..and more like hatchets .. ..axes of the pirate era were forged and not shaped like those. Theyd be shaped more like the ones unearthed in colonial settlements. And the wood handles would be much further gone along with more metal. Those were probably lost there not that long ago at all from the corrosion and were probably old when brought there and used.
Why are there large open areas. Not all filled w big trees. Was there a logging operation and a logging camp at one time perhaps? Those logging camps are still found in the maine woods and metal detectors will find a trove of interesting archeological rubbish. "Garbology" archeology of garbage is a fun hobby in formerly settled but now desolate areas ..its like having a time machine
There was a lumber mill on the island at one time and there was a brickyard where they used clay mined on the island to make bricks. This information can be found on the internet. The tv series doesn't mention any of this. I wonder why?
It’s in my backyard I’ve already found it
I tried that in my back yard and all I found was an old whiskey bottle and some rusty beer cans!
This is why Flintstone became a cartoon
I’m beginning to think oak island is just an old garbage dump for a logging community
Laird never has information
The Swamp area would be the perfect place to stash priceless amounts of treasure and maybe Fred Nolan was right all along that the swamp is the key to solving the mystery.
This shows keeps getting more interesting
They feel old🤣
Oh great!, they found my axehead that fell off and i lost 10 yrs ago
I don't feel so bad now for losing dad's old axe.
more of nothing, how long can this show keep misleading everyone.
For as long as the mislead keep watching
I think those would be more corroded then that if they been there for 500 plus years
They seem to find a lot of trees and rocks in the Canadian soil 😂 go figure eh!
I think the money pit = the number of episodes X the number of hits. If there was something there, I suspect it is long gone, or absolutely mashed by treasure hunters, not archaeologists. Archaeologists use paint brushes, greed driven treasure hunters use excavators and destroy wildlife and history. Tell me there was no impact by coffer dams or draining the swamp or just clawing up chunks of underground hoping to see the glint of gold. Imaginations are running wild with mother loads, vault rooms. Apparently down there, is, the arc of the covenant, king Louis 16 crown jewels, Shakespeare's manuscripts, a Spanish armada fortune, and pirate booty. Did I get that right? Gold fever, commit them. :(
Result of unemployment...
Wow, they found an old axe on an island, that is "under geo.reconstruction" since nearly 250 years...no, never before an axe broke, noone left one, no one lost one...when they did that large reworking of the whole site, there is no wonder that trees needed to be chopped down and an axe broke...and everybody who worked in a swampy terrain while raining knows what happens to tools put somewhere and not stowed correctly...they simply disappear in the mud...oh what a sensational find...bet it is roman...lol!!!
I just saw this Wednesday.
Repeats already?
Wow.
Give me a f*cking break! A major discovery?
Stop tearing up the island. An archaeologist would put in a test trench, to the limit of his resources, which in Ur case, would be the width of the island. If u don't use excavators, u can study the strata of the soil down to bedrock. It will show anybody's effort to dig down, wether it be 1600-1700, or more recently. U are looking for what's down there, not studying who made what hole. Digging mud out of a excavator test pit masks what happened. U need water pumped out, and an archaeologist looking at the strata over a number of linear yards.
aXe marks the spot
Reality history program.. without being real or historical. Now that's quite a majik trick.
History channel BREAKING NEWS!
Oak island major discovery!! It will take another 10 seasons to find they've been searching all the wrong areas of the island.
Vi to Spiderman
My opinion is they would not find tons of treasure because all of the years many tried to dig all of the island they always find tools and other artifacts who really dig treasure I'd they want to find something excavate all of the island lol if there's a real treasure in it
The joke of curse island
Their not that old.
Wow, they found a camping site.
Next they will find an Airstream with a metal detector!
why haven't they just metal detectored the whole island by now. Island ain't that large.
Because there's nothing there.
The muli million dollar axe head?
"Major find"........wtf?
Mate mate mate mate mate mate mate mate
They found a boy scouts campground.
Those axe heads are too small for chopping trees down. Give me a break! They don't know what they're talking about they just make up stuff.
He didn’t look empress
I think you mean "impressed". Laird looked tired.
Couple of trash pumps that are used in all sorts of industries would take all the water from it, and keep it gone while they "Explore ".
This season is shaping up to be the worst yet
What's the Big Deal, about finding old axes out in the forest????
they're standing in a clearing where all the trees have been fell, and they're speculating on how the axe was used. it's all for show now.
I know right? Could be a murder weapon...lol!
Don't think those axes were knights templar mabey knights of columbus pirates had swords I think ha ha
Gary ear rings ascent can't stand him
Worst treasure hunt ever.
Definitely the world's longest! (225 years)
People have been looking for 225 years and still haven't located the flood tunnel! Maybe it will take another 225 years!
Loll
😁✌🖖👌👍😎
We're about is all the money about or is it been taken away before they even get there hands on any treasure as this is season 8 and they still haven't found any treasure yet it's like a joke and they are only making money from this program
Season 8, that tells you how close they are...not. How long is the History channel going to waste money on this? Long ago, I found this interesting. Now its year 8....yawn. I find it difficult to believe that a pirate in the 1700s, with limited equipment and resources, was able to construct an elaborate cache of treasure complete with booby traps and obstacles.
I just think this show unfortunately extremely disappointing.
all you sasssy lasssys in the comments calm down they would love to work faster but its a historical site all work requires permits which take time shows none of you really pay attention to the show
How much attention do you recommend? 10 years? Don't be a sucker.
No they wouldn't, the permission are applied for during Winter, if they go any quicker they will finish and so will the payments, if this were purely a private enterprise it would have been finished in a matter of months
And Yankee Dollars no doubt Eh!!!
I have not pressed play yet because I want to tell you that if your idea of a major discovery is an ox shoe, old farm tool or another coin, I’m unsubscribing.
It’s 5 mins later and I am outta here!!!!!
You forgot all the ax heads they found. Clearly they "axed" for it!
Wow they found a spoon. They have starting to make a drama about metal detectors. This is getting boring
First
Fml glad I didn't watch this all
