  • I went to my local bike shop to rent an ebike to see if it's better to rent or to just buy an ebike. That's really going to depend on how many times you ride. IF you ride more than 2 times a month, you'll want to consider buying

We rent an e-bikes on the Katy trail in Missouri. We pay $500/each bike a week to rent them. We do not live near the trail and transporting the bikes would be prohibitive. We spend a week on the trail and stay at B&Bs and hotels. After the week is up we return the bikes and are done. So there is more to buy/rent than just cost.

Here in Santa Barbara, California it's $75 - $100/day depending on the company...that seems to be the nrom in most place.

They don't have bikes, but I've been seeing Moon Scooters around Salt Lake that rent for $70 or $80 a month. Don't know if it's worth it over a year or two, but under that time it seems like it might not be a bad deal.
