I often took this freeway for interviews. My dream was to work at the First Interstate Bank building(never happened). I must've interviewed at about half these buildings in downtown LA.

I grew up driving in the 80's - and remember driving with all these other cars around me. The one clip has a late 70's era honda civic that was exactly like my friend's - same color too. But the colors in here don't match well at all. The green road signs were almost the identical color they are today. It could be the original film equipment or aging of the film. Colors are more muted with more green/brown hue.
wow almost nothing changed. smog is a little better, traffic a little worse, more tents, more buildings. but those road signs the trees the guard rails are the same. that big pep boys got some new paint since.
Lol 1980s America was notorious for sky high crime rates. Lots of drugs and murders. Even if the crime problem is bad now its no where near as bad as the 80s.

Lived in Hollywood most of the 80's and 90's. I can't believe the vid ends just as you pass the turnoff I'm trying to make in my mind to go up the 101 and home. There was a homeless problem back then, but now it's a disaster. Couldn't afford to live there by 2000, I'd rather have died homeless there then than homelss in some some other skanky pointless place now.
