    @sapitz65 I agree with you.. I'm new-ish to tekken, and someone told me when in higher level fights, Hwo is harder to use, but when you learn all of his moves and counters he's not that hard to use. I don't think it's the same when you're fighting people that aren't too good.

  • @pkshd
    @pkshd 15 лет назад

    It's because you watch these vids looking for some trickshot combos, even if you tell yourself you're looking at how they're pitting their strategies against each other and how they adapt to clashing mismatched playstyles. Fact is, pros won't be taking huge risks often, so you won't see many jaw dropping moments.
    I don't mean to belittle you. Everyone goes through that phase when they watch pro vids of any fighter. You just have to learn to look for subtle moments when the tide turns.

    As far as fighting games go.
    1. Few characters are better than the rest of the cast in EVERY fighting game.
    2. There is always a gap in how good characters are.
    3. Players determine how good a character is/can be. Characters don't win tournies by themselves.
    4. At Daigo's level of play, he could have picked O sagat and beat his opponent. Or worse yet, Balrog. Not using another character was his fault.
    5. ST2 Ryu CAN beat O Sagat.
    6. Tekken is a fighting game.
    None are fact?

  • @sp4rtan117ofallhalos
    @sp4rtan117ofallhalos 13 лет назад

    @StickyickyX .. Yea, you proved my point... He is harder to use in higher level fights... "He is probably easier as a noob cause he is mashable" Still, that is a good point that you made.

    Super SF4 is coming out as they sold their quota of copies to publish an update. So a lot of the crying ppl went on that X character wasn't in the game would be fixed.
    I haven't heard anything about balancing ever being mentioned. I heard Sagat was remaining a powerhouse but that's speculative talk.
    You too are speculating. We'll see if there's balancing when it comes out.

    The reason MDJ wasnt raping with hwoar was because they fucked hwoar up and took out most of his good moves taking him from being top tier to noob friendly,. if this was 5 it would have been MDJ's game easily

    As for the most balanced fighting game, I think it'd go between Soul Calibur, Samurai Shodown 4, Guilty Gear and Tekken.
    Tekken does have its merits but it seems like you're not even taking the competition into consideration which is an injustice to the other games that could easily vie for that position.

    @kool4life77 if your getting hit by the continuous mid kick all you gotta do is 1,2 it..just gotta time it but all hwoarang really has is his kick strings and set ups..learn to block those lows you dodge his highs learn to time his mid kicks and you can punish him..boomheadshot

    You're still contradicting yourself. No matter how much you say a tier list is buffed, it's still a tier list. Character X is better than Y because they have better winning tools.
    Sagat has always had faster fireballs than Ryu. You obviously haven't been playing SF for very long. Faster fireballs is a tool not a sure victory.
    If a faster fireball is a tool Sagat has, why not use it? For years sf has been at it's most basic level, a fireball contest.

  • @Styxorcist
    @Styxorcist 15 лет назад

    That isn't exactly the case. Daigo lost to an O Sagat because the Sagat player PLAYED better. Your talk about tiers contradicts your own argument.
    Tiers do not dictate who WILL win but who is more likely by comparing game winning tools.
    As extremely good as you claim Raven to be, how many have won high level tournaments with him? I can say right off the top of my head that I don't know of any. You'd probably have to go research it.
    A character is a means to an end not THE END.

  • @aj578
    @aj578 11 лет назад

    as this in phoenox?

  • @Styxorcist
    @Styxorcist 15 лет назад

    So this stays relevant, you say Sagat has faster fireballs and in tekken 5, bryan and nina had 8 frame jabs while the rest of the cast had 10- 12 frame jabs.
    I think it applies to the analogy that 9/10 times an expert with a knife can beat a fool with a sword. It would be 10/10 times but swords are dangerous and even an idiot can kill you with one.
    The same with games. Some characters don't have much chance to win but they do however have one.

  • @OldManNutcakez
    @OldManNutcakez 13 лет назад

    @VFishingS The only hard thing about Bryan is timing & executing the taunt. That's it. The rest is rudimentary. He is overpowered, slightly, and always has been since Tekken 3.

  • @Styxorcist
    @Styxorcist 15 лет назад

    Come on man. You're putting words in my mouth now.
    Not changing to a character he could have won with easier is not saying he couldn't have won with Ryu.
    Check your messages man and let's stop cluttering RUclips for real.

    @sp4rtan117ofallhalos What kind of sense does that make? Hwo is one of the more complex characters, whether you are pro or a noob. He is probably easier as a noob cause he is mashable but to be exact with your moves like MDJ is, that's a whole other story. His movelist is one of the longest, if not the longest.

    Go Hwoarang!!

  • @Styxorcist
    @Styxorcist 15 лет назад

    The guy did play better because he won. If it's as braindead easy as you say then even you should be able to beat daigo with O Sagat right? Sure it was probably easier for Sagat but on Daigo's level, they take everything into account when playing.
    An isolated event like your example serves nothing but establish the circumstance of that example and that alone.
    I could easily say look at the same Sagat vs Zangief. Sagat should win right? Go look at Kuni vs Valle.

  • @Styxorcist
    @Styxorcist 15 лет назад

    Tier lists aren't absolute. Thus my analogy. The idiot with a weapon has a CHANCE. As bad as any gap looks in ANY game on a tier list that is based on stats, it's NEVER character X beats character Y 10/10 times. Think about it man. It may be 9/1 or 8/2 but never 10/10.
    Regardless of how big the gap is, my point is there will always be a gap. Comparing is a waste of time but I've nothing but time now to indulge you.

    "Tier lists make a difference in fighting games except tekken."
    What exactly is tekken? If you can't see a contradiction anywhere there you sir need to be fitted with glasses.
    It's not like the players winning top tournaments are winning with EVERY character on the roster. It just cannot and will not happen.
    You debate opinion while I state fact. Nothing changes that man. There'll roughly be a top 5 or 5 characters that you will see winning over and over and that will be your tier list

    Jesus Fucking Christ!!! I heard about MaDDogJin is a very nice world classic tekken player, but actually I didn^t see any matches from him for a while! Both of them was fantastic in this over 10 minutes, the funny is many people say the online players are so fucking good and unbelieveable talents! BULLSHIT! The fucking good players are exactly here men -MrNAPS and MaDDogJin besides many other offline tekken players which are pro players as well for example: ,,Leedy,, or ,,Knee,,! 5 stars!:))))

    @kool4life77 Hwo is not as lame as Law (low kick to somersault all day long and almost no recovery whatsoever), Bob or Eddy. His attacks are quite linear and easy to sidestep, duck or punish. If you can't do anything against noob tactics, then you are a noob yourself. Don't worry though, I do get cought up in lameness as well, for I usually don't expect players to spam the same shit over and over again.

    So you say, that in Tekken, players don't have to work so hard for the win as with SF or any other game for that matter?
    Come on man. I can't give you t6 stats and frame data as of yet as I'm still learning but I can speak for 5. Lei was uncompromisingly the WORST character in the roster.
    NOBODY won tournies with him, nobody placed top anything with a lei. I've seen Sasano beast on ppl with Yoshi but no not Lei. The gap in power was WAY beyond remotely fixable.
