I'm stoked you finally drove a genesis 3.8. I got mine a little over a year ago and I love it. Throttle response is kind of eh but its a fun car to drive and it looks good. Would love to see you buy one and build it
It's a hit and miss they are really high compression so you gotta be careful they make tons of torque tho , tuning is getting better and better on them though, on only around 8 psi it can make over 450 whp and over 400wtq
i would try 3.5 or 3.7 in the back of that gen, its very good happy medium. enough wheel speed for second and not on limiter as much its what i use to run. you'll see a lot of those diffs out of 3.8 6 speeds. 09 to 2012. i'd assume its short too cause the car was previously a 2.0t which came with a 3.9 or 4.1 i believe i could be wrong. But genracer has a lot of good intel tho too

Yep exactly it has a 2.0t rear diff, but that dif is more desirable as I remember, if Adam gets some more bolt ons and get another tune he can gain a good bit more midrange torque
2.0 come with 3.91 diff . Compared to 3.8 that come with a lazy 3.54 ratio. You could split the difference between the 2 and go to a 3.73 ratio. Or get a retune and raise the rev limiter to get more wheel speed

The idea of having a car available on track for around 500$ and you pay for fuel and tires is honestly the most amazing concept. Allowing people to get a taste of drifting without throwing massive money into a car is so cool.
I personally wanna know what people would genuinely pay for a turn key drift car to rent at track days, I myself am building a Jzx100 for the same purpose, to be able to rent it to people to drift, rims are supplied, you just pay for the tyres that get mounted, fuel you pay for, I have a trailer that I tow the car to (if local) car is always maintained before events. So you’re able to just show up and have a nice reliable 250-300kw jzx drift car ready to go. I’m in australia so no idea how popular it would be
you should definitely vinyl wrap the rentals with some kind of liveries that are cool, and clean up the tarmacs and whatever the situation is on the g35. that would make the rentals more appealing to me. i already have a drift car so renting would be just for fun, and I bet most renters will be wanting a photo op to post on the gram. definitely need liveries and some matching wheels at the least. the genesis would look pretty good with a wrap and some clean wheels

Owned a couple Genesis for years, the 2.0t was alot more fun and the cost for hp was alot cheaper to. My 2013 2.0t was my daily and I put 70k miles on it after building to a 450hp, all go no show and the V8 guys were always surprised and hated getting beat by it lol

The idea of having a car available on track for around 500$ and you pay for fuel and tires is honestly the most amazing concept. Allowing people to get a taste of drifting without throwing massive money into a car is so cool.

I personally wanna know what people would genuinely pay for a turn key drift car to rent at track days, I myself am building a Jzx100 for the same purpose, to be able to rent it to people to drift, rims are supplied, you just pay for the tyres that get mounted, fuel you pay for, I have a trailer that I tow the car to (if local) car is always maintained before events. So you’re able to just show up and have a nice reliable 250-300kw jzx drift car ready to go. I’m in australia so no idea how popular it would be

you should definitely vinyl wrap the rentals with some kind of liveries that are cool, and clean up the tarmacs and whatever the situation is on the g35. that would make the rentals more appealing to me. i already have a drift car so renting would be just for fun, and I bet most renters will be wanting a photo op to post on the gram. definitely need liveries and some matching wheels at the least. the genesis would look pretty good with a wrap and some clean wheels

Owned a couple Genesis for years, the 2.0t was alot more fun and the cost for hp was alot cheaper to. My 2013 2.0t was my daily and I put 70k miles on it after building to a 450hp, all go no show and the V8 guys were always surprised and hated getting beat by it lol
