Dais releases so much good stuff,Youth Code and High-Functioning Flesh are kicking all sorts of arse. I'm so glad to see there's a new generation carrying the torch of true EBM.
hey there was an old fan vid for body of lights, you bleed too, that had this old italian movie in it, if anyone knows the name or where to find it id really appreciate
I'm torn on this. On one hand I remember this era of music with fond memories. On the other its been done to death and a rash of electro and post-punk bands are aping mid 80's production which, in my opinion, cheapens the music. Let's be honest, this is music made by people who love a certain genre suspended in a small period of time. Creating this music is a testament to that. But I guess I wonder if its low hanging fruit. Making the music sound like it was produced and engineered in 1985 along with a video that also reeks of a period piece (again, 1985) isn't as inventive as taking this music and transporting all the great things about it into current technology and ideology. I like this song and other things I have heard from Body of Light, but the retro hang makes part of me wonder how series I should take it.
I wouldn't call it low hanging fruit. It's not the only genre I could listen to, but I appreciate that there is still a scene keeping this very niche section of music alive. Don't think it "cheapens" it at all. I would rather it not die out of a desire to modernize.
chris stewart from black marble says they listened to this on the drive up, so yeah of course im giving it a gander
This deserves so many more views

I think you're thinking too hard about. What exactly is the consequence of digging it other than some kind of shame you're imposing on yourself?
