My whole neighborhood sets up luminaries every Christmas Eve. Every street is lined with glowing lanterns and where I live is a guaranteed white Christmas. It’s such a beautiful sight to see.
This video made me feel very happy. I feel like I'm right there with you guys. Thank you so much for sharing! I still have an ornament from my first Christmas, which was actually when I was 12 years old because I grew up JW and we didn't celebrate it. When I was 12, my mom finally said that we could celebrate Christmas. I was thrilled! We had a makeshift tree that we cut from branches outside and put into a bucket with dirt, we decorated it and everything was so special that year. It will always be my favorite Christmas.

Your Home is so delightful and cozy! I watch all the old Holiday movies and I love Holiday Inn, It's A Wonderful Life, Going My Way, The Shop Around the Corner, and many others. I have my tree up and my apartment is decorated. I am lucky to have a cat, Aslan, who sleeps under the tree every year as soon as it is ready. He loves it. I have been alone at Christmas many years and often reflect on my childhood memories and my grandparents, aunts, and uncles, now who gave passed on. I know that their spirits live on even though I miss everyone and they are with me, somehow. I love the Christmas season very much and I try to make my home welcoming for my friends. It helps and I celebrate fully the Advent season and then the twelve days of Christmas--a very exciting time of year. I also enjoy walks in my neighborhood to see the local Christmas tree lot, and the decorations of the homes, and the lights and candles my neighbors put in their windows. I bake fewer cookies than I used to, but I love having them to share as well. God Bless you at Christmas and Happy New Year in 2022 when it arrives. You have many Internet friends. Happy Holidays!

I've been making an orange, Cranberry nut bread for all the fifty years of my marriage. It just isn't Christmas without it. So similar to your cookies, but in loaf form. I bake lots of cookies and make candy as well. This year my granddaughter will be helping me. You're such a lovely couple. I look forward to your cozy videos. One of my favorite Christmas traditions is watching Dr Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The 20 minute movie. My husbands family always watches A Christmas Story the day of the holiday and that’s their tradition so we’ve kind of picked that one up as well. I also really enjoy making curry on Christmas Eve. So warming and comforting🥰 Happy Christmas you guys! 🎄✨

I really enjoyed this one, Christmas is just another day for me, I do love to see how others decorated and celebrate. My fondest memories are waking up Christmas morning hearing Dean Martin and pies baking making the house smell divine. Charlie Brown was the go to in our house, my mom adored Snoopy, I also love Disney's version of A Christmas Carol. Have a wonderful Christmas.! I live within a few miles of where Donna Reed grew up. There is a newer theatre but the old theatre was refurbished and dedicated to the theme “It’s A Wonderful Life.” They host live traveling shows and at Christmas it is Donna Reed. There is a small replica of Bedford Falls in the window. The town of Denison, Iowa has built their business facade after that time. There is a beautiful old big home called the McHenry house that has a museum with lots of posters and memorabilia of Donna Reed’s career in movies and her Oscar from Here to Eternity. Your videos are so heartwarming and lovely. I feel your loneliness for family, we live in Iowa, my family is in California and we have a daughter in Arizona and grandchildren in Florida and Texas. We can never be all together.

My husband is from Holland and his family, now grown with families, are spread over the states. We always call each other, but like you, we miss being with them. My husband's mom and dad taught me how to make some Dutch Christmas goodies which I try to send each year that brings us all together. My sister and I always share goodies our grandmother and mother used to make (as you probably guess I gain a few pounds during this season😂). Happily my own grown children and their families live near and come to our home at Christmas. By the way, I love watching you bake and smile everytime you tap the towel on the oven when you place your goodies inside. Maybe that will be a habit I will start too. We're quarantined with COVID, but it's a blessing in disguise. Though positive tested, we have no/minimal symptoms, so we're able to slow down and just enjoy our time together at home. My daughter and son in law moved states away a couple years ago. They have since had a baby, and I miss them so much that it hurts my heart. This will be the third Christmas without being with them. Thank God for FaceTime but it still is not the same as being together. I’m sorry you both miss your families during this holiday time. I only got to celebrate with my Icelandic grandparents one time in my life and I will never forget the beautiful memories of it.

Oh my the story of you and your mom with a shared pin..and Jonas watching a program on his with his family...so heartwarming. Ty for sharing. Our Christmas tree is a scrapbook of sorts. It has ornaments of my childhood and ones that had belonged to my mom and both grandmother's. Each ornament has a story behind and means so much. On Christmas eve we sit in our living room with only our Christmas lights on and just talk about our memories. It's a special time and it keeps us all connected. Merry Christmas to you both.

It was on our black and white TV. I still remember the First color TV. Dad was always Working on the color. There was A know to adjust the color. I seen alot of red. Green, blue TV shows. That TV had a mind of its own. Dad had a few choice Words sometimes. He was so excited when he brought that Home in time to watch those Christmas cartoons. I still think of that every year. The big grin He had when comming through the door with it. Oh what great Memories we collect through our Lives. Merry Xmas. And that word know was Supposed to be knob. Sorry About that.

Having Fika time with hot tea and a German Christmas cookie while I watch your video. I enjoyed seeing your ornaments. I have some favorites from my childhood (a tiny felt bunny my aunt made for me), my first Christmas as an adult(nutcracker mini book and Clara holding the nutcracker and sugar plum fairy)and when my children were little( ornaments they made in school for me and mini paintings my older son painted). I usually buy a new ornament every year, this year I got a farmhouse ornament & a little camper because my daughter in law took me glamping as a Christmas gift to see The Biltmore Estate). Your cookies remind me of some orange cookies that are a recipe of my great grandmother & also of my favorite scones to bake. I enjoy playing vintage Christmas records on my phonograph(including Rudolph from the cartoon I grew up watching). Thanks for your Disney memories, I was in Jr High and my parents took my brother & I to Florida (from NY, Long Island)in our camper to visit my Aunt Judi and we went to Disney on Christmas Day! I almost forgot that memory! It was in the early 1970’s!! Merry Christmas and a Cobweb Cozy New Year!! PS I miss my mom especially at Christmas(she passed away in 2013). She always made dozens of kinds of cookies and stored them in our basement in big tins. I wear her 1950’s reindeer apron every year at Christmas!

My best friend when I was a kid was German and I practically lived at her house. Her parents spoke German at the dinner table and became my Mutti and Vatti, my German mom & dad. When I finally visited Germany it was very nostalgic, like being at their house. They are gone now but I still make Beinstich, bee sting cake, a almond, butter sugar topped yeast dough, that she taught me how to make. You can make a cheat version by rolling out crescent rolls, top with melted butter, sliced almonds and sugar and bake. So yummy. Try it sometime for Fika!

As a child I went to Disney world several times it's magical. I then went with my own children during Christmas which was absolutely unbelievably special. My mother gave me a bunch of Disney ornaments one year for Christmas an entire collection. Over the years we've lost some but now my children are buying them for me. Merry Christmas Jonas and Lindsay from the Mohawk Valley of central NY! I can remember driving around with my mom, dad, and sister looking at the homes decorated with lights and then going somewhere to get a hot chocolate. My grandma would sew all the grand kids new pjs, night gowns, or robes every year. I live in the house I grew up in and I still have some of the ornaments, decorations, and toys from my childhood which I bring out every Christmas.

I watched the Charlie Brown Christmas Special & The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (animated version). Love Grinch stuff & listening to the music on the Charlie Brown Special immediately reminds me of Christmas. We would sometimes have a white Xmas in Northern IL; love when it does, but can make it hard for traveling. My family & a couple aunts, uncles, cousins & my great grandma would pile into my grandma's trailer park home. She made everything fancy--finger foods & plenty of sweets. I also saw my parents watching It's a Wonderful Life & discovered it in my early 20's. Fav Xmas movie since! Got to watch the last hour of it on Xmas eve this year! Me & my husband's new tradition with our daughters & my parents is to do fondue. Thank you for sharing your classy & very cosy nostalgic Xmas with all of us!

I enjoyed this so much! I loved listening to your stories about each ornament. One of my favorite things to do at Christmas is decorate the tree with my daughter and talk about the ornaments and the memories that are attached to them. We get a new one or two every year but we don't really stick to a theme. Our tree has quite an eclectic look but it's very Christmassy and we love it! Merry Christmas to the both of you!🎄🌟⛄

This video made me feel very happy. I feel like I'm right there with you guys. Thank you so much for sharing! I still have an ornament from my first Christmas, which was actually when I was 12 years old because I grew up JW and we didn't celebrate it. When I was 12, my mom finally said that we could celebrate Christmas. I was thrilled! We had a makeshift tree that we cut from branches outside and put into a bucket with dirt, we decorated it and everything was so special that year. It will always be my favorite Christmas.

Your Home is so delightful and cozy! I watch all the old Holiday movies and I love Holiday Inn, It's A Wonderful Life, Going My Way, The Shop Around the Corner, and many others. I have my tree up and my apartment is decorated. I am lucky to have a cat, Aslan, who sleeps under the tree every year as soon as it is ready. He loves it. I have been alone at Christmas many years and often reflect on my childhood memories and my grandparents, aunts, and uncles, now who gave passed on. I know that their spirits live on even though I miss everyone and they are with me, somehow. I love the Christmas season very much and I try to make my home
welcoming for my friends. It helps and I celebrate fully the Advent season and then the twelve days of Christmas--a very exciting time of year. I also enjoy walks in my neighborhood to see the local Christmas tree lot, and the decorations of the homes, and the lights and candles my neighbors put in their windows. I bake fewer cookies than I used to, but I love having them to share as well. God Bless you at Christmas and Happy New Year in 2022 when it arrives. You have many Internet friends. Happy Holidays!

I've been making an orange, Cranberry nut bread for all the fifty years of my marriage. It just isn't Christmas without it. So similar to your cookies, but in loaf form. One of my favorite Christmas traditions is watching Dr Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The 20 minute movie. My husbands family always watches A Christmas Story the day of the holiday and that’s their tradition so we’ve kind of picked that one up as well. I also really enjoy making curry on Christmas Eve. So warming and comforting🥰

I really enjoyed this one, Christmas is just another day for me, I do love to see how others decorated and celebrate. My fondest memories are waking up Christmas morning hearing Dean Martin and pies baking making the house smell divine. Charlie Brown was the go to in our house, my mom adored Snoopy, I also love Disney's version of A Christmas Carol. Have a wonderful Christmas.! I live within a few miles of where Donna Reed grew up. There is a newer theatre but the old theatre was refurbished and dedicated to the theme “It’s A Wonderful Life.” They host live traveling shows and at Christmas it is Donna Reed. There is a small replica of Bedford Falls in the window. The town of Denison, Iowa has built their business facade after that time. There is a beautiful old big home called the McHenry house that has a museum with lots of posters and memorabilia of Donna Reed’s career in movies and her Oscar from Here to Eternity. Your videos are so heartwarming and lovely. I feel your loneliness for family, we live in Iowa, my family is in California and we have a daughter in Arizona and grandchildren in Florida and Texas. We can never be all together.

My husband is from Holland and his family, now grown with families, are spread over the states. We always call each other, but like you, we miss being with them. My husband's mom and dad taught me how to make some Dutch Christmas goodies which I try to send each year that brings us all together. My sister and I always share goodies our grandmother and mother used to make (as you probably guess I gain a few pounds during this season😂). Happily my own grown children and their families live near and come to our home at Christmas. By the way, I love watching you bake and smile everytime you tap the towel on the oven when you place your goodies inside. Maybe that will be a habit I will start too. It's like the final touch to your bake😊. Merry Christmas to you both and may you have a peaceful beautiful time together in your cozy cottage with one more year's memories to add to your album❤

We're quarantined with COVID, but it's a blessing in disguise. Though positive tested, we have no/minimal symptoms, so we're able to slow down and just enjoy our time together at home.

My daughter and son in law moved states away a couple years ago. They have since had a baby, and I miss them so much that it hurts my heart. This will be the third Christmas without being with them. Thank God for FaceTime but it still is not the same as being together. I’m sorry you both miss your families during this holiday time. I only got to celebrate with my Icelandic grandparents one time in my life and I will never forget the beautiful memories of it.

Oh my the story of you and your mom with a shared pin..and Jonas watching a program on his with his family...so heartwarming. Ty for sharing. Our Christmas tree is a scrapbook of sorts. It has ornaments of my childhood and ones that had belonged to my mom and both grandmother's. Each ornament has a story behind and means so much. On Christmas eve we sit in our living room with only our Christmas lights on and just talk about our memories. It's a special time and it keeps us all connected. Merry Christmas to you both.

My favorite vintage tradition on Christmas is decorating my art studio with my late grandmother’s vintage aluminum tree. It has a color wheel that shines on it from the base and creates a sparkly, multi-colored glow as it turns.

Favorite Christmas memory.... Macys in herald square the windows beautifully decorated each year a treat to go with my Dad as a lil girl shopping for presents...being mesmerized looking up on a escalator at the garland with the shiny bulbs....

Having Fika time with hot tea and a German Christmas cookie while I watch your video. I enjoyed seeing your ornaments. I have some favorites from my childhood (a tiny felt bunny my aunt made for me), my first Christmas as an adult(nutcracker mini book and Clara holding the nutcracker and sugar plum fairy)and when my children were little( ornaments they made in school for me and mini paintings my older son painted). I usually buy a new ornament every year, this year I got a farmhouse ornament & a little camper because my daughter in law took me glamping as a Christmas gift to see The Biltmore Estate). Your cookies remind me of some orange cookies that are a recipe of my great grandmother & also of my favorite scones to bake. I enjoy playing vintage Christmas records on my phonograph(including Rudolph from the cartoon I grew up watching). Thanks for your Disney memories, I was in Jr High and my parents took my brother & I to Florida (from NY, Long Island)in our camper to visit my Aunt Judi and we went to Disney on Christmas Day! I almost forgot that memory! It was in the early 1970’s!! Merry Christmas and a Cobweb Cozy New Year!! PS I miss my mom especially at Christmas(she passed away in 2013). She always made dozens of kinds of cookies and stored them in our basement in big tins. I wear her 1950’s reindeer apron every year at Christmas!

My best friend when I was a kid was German and I practically lived at her house. Her parents spoke German at the dinner table and became my Mutti and Vatti, my German mom & dad. When I finally visited Germany it was very nostalgic, like being at their house. They are gone now but I still make Beinstich, bee sting cake, a almond, butter sugar topped yeast dough, that she taught me how to make. You can make a cheat version by rolling out crescent rolls, top with melted butter, sliced almonds and sugar and bake. So yummy. Try it sometime for Fika!

As a child I went to Disney world several times it's magical. I then went with my own children during Christmas which was absolutely unbelievably special. My mother gave me a bunch of Disney ornaments one year for Christmas an entire collection. Over the years we've lost some but now my children are buying them for me. Merry Christmas Jonas and Lindsay from the Mohawk Valley of central NY! I can remember driving around with my mom, dad, and sister looking at the homes decorated with lights and then going somewhere to get a hot chocolate. My grandma would sew all the grand kids new pjs, night gowns, or robes every year. I live in the house I grew up in and I still have some of the ornaments, decorations, and toys from my childhood which I bring out every Christmas.

I watched the Charlie Brown Christmas Special & The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (animated version). Love Grinch stuff & listening to the music on the Charlie Brown Special immediately reminds me of Christmas. We would sometimes have a white Xmas in Northern IL; love when it does, but can make it hard for traveling. My family & a couple aunts, uncles, cousins & my great grandma would pile into my grandma's trailer park home. She made everything fancy--finger foods & plenty of sweets. I also saw my parents watching It's a Wonderful Life & discovered it in my early 20's. Fav Xmas movie since! Got to watch the last hour of it on Xmas eve this year! Me & my husband's new tradition with our daughters & my parents is to do fondue. Thank you for sharing your classy & very cosy nostalgic Xmas with all of us!

I enjoyed this so much! I loved listening to your stories about each ornament. One of my favorite things to do at Christmas is decorate the tree with my daughter and talk about the ornaments and the memories that are attached to them. We get a new one or two every year but we don't really stick to a theme. Our tree has quite an eclectic look but it's very Christmassy and we love it! Merry Christmas to the both of you!🎄🌟⛄
