I’m in love with Gina. I come home from work, and I’m tired, and stressed, and she removes all of that. I an there with her in the kitchen, and loving every minute of it. Thank you Gina! ❤️
It’s funny that people now are critical of people using hands to cook. And it’s mostly people who don’t cook. From scratch is everything including the tools we have today. Hands are our number one tool. The problem is people lost the concept of being clean. Please stop feeling bad for using your hands. Your a clean person and know how to provide for people in a clean healthy way. I would be the first in line to eat anything u made with your hands. Using your hands is the love in every bit you give to your family. Love your videos. Thank you so much for opening your kitchen to us!! I hope your feeling well and staying safe
Hi Nona Gina! Thank you for your zeppole recipe! Also, please don't apologize for using your hands to mix-- our hands are God's gift: the best kitchen tools ever!!!!!!!
I can tell you enough thank you for sharing Grandma Gina with us! Pleas tell her I love her and her videos. I could listen to her talk all day. You are so lucky to have such an amazing woman to pass these traditions down and we are lucky she wants to share with us ❤️
Watching and especially listening to you cook made me cry. My Italian grandmother died in 1981, but listening to you brought her to life for me. I enjoyed your video so much. Her recipes were lost but now but I will try yours to recreate a warm feeling and delicious tastes from my childhood. Thank you.
Nonna Gina, your English is just fine, no apologies! Thanks so much for sharing traditional recipes from home. God bless! And thanks for singing for us, you nearly made me cry.
Joe Jacoby it really is wonderful, isn't it?! It hits me right in the feels! I love to sing during cooking! When my son watched her video with me, he said, "No wonder you sing and talk to yourself while cooking! It is an Italian thing!" I tear up with happy tears whenever I get my Gina time!
Gina, this is a fantastic recipe for Zeppole! I don't need this large of a batch but it is easy enough to adjust the ingredients and your instructions are very clear. Do not worry about how you speak, I was born and educated in America and speak literally NO Italian but I understand you perfectly!
I’m so so glad we aren’t bombarded with music. When Grandma sings that’s just wonderful but thank you for no recorded music. I want to catch every word. I’m learning to speak Italian. No music and nobody telling you what to do. I love your show, love it.
Precious Grandma Gina, your English is heart-warming, and no need to apologize! We love you so, so, so much! You are so loved and appreciated beyond words😘😘😘😘😘
I love you and love your show, you're wonderful. I was a lonely little Puerto Rican girl-(60 now), and had a sweet next door neighbor-from Italy. She taught me how to cook many things and you bring me back to those amazing times. Thank you.
Nonna Gina! I grew up in NYC's "Little Italy" in the 60's. I lived on Mulberry and Grand. It is the heart of Little Italy. I had an Italian baby sitter! I grew up eating zeppole during San Genarro feast. I grew up eating Scicilian pizza, prosciutto calzones, ricotta cake, sfogliatelle...Oh I can go on and on! Thank you for bringing me back to my childhood!
OMG, I love her. her voice reminds me of when I was young and lived In Cleveland Ohio an older Italian woman adopted me and decided I needed to learn how to cook properly lol. One of the best times of my life!!!
Thank you for the lesson Gina! My Mother-In-Law was Italian and she would make Zeppole for the family get together at Christmas. I learned how to make many things from her, but Zeppole, no. Thank you for putting the love you have into preparing your foods. Great teacher and I understand your English with no problem.
How can anyone not love watching this sweet lady, lol, she's such a joy and always brings me back to my Italian roots. The song she sang about the baby Jesus was beautiful! Merry Christmas Gina! 🎄🙏🏻👍
Nonna Gina!!! You are the sweetest person on Earth!! You are a very hard worker, an exemple for all of us!! Thank you so much and may "Dio vi benedica"!! Love from Brazil!! 😙😙😙💖💖💖👏👏👏
When I was a teenager, in my old neighborhood was an Italian family that (for some reason) decided to adopt me as one of their own. I will never forget the love and teaching that basically saved me from the streets. The sound of wine bottles popping in the basement, the smell of everyday meals and desserts....what a memory I will cherish forever. Thank you Lady Gina! :)
My day is always better just to see her do anything at all! LOVE everything about her and the way she makes everything so simple. Not saying its simple because what she does is work. Love her so much.
My cheeks hurt from smiling! Your beautiful warm personality, and joy of life, show through loud and clear to those of us who can't get enough of your videos. I only wish there were more and more! Your dough looks pure perfection! Soon, I will be brave enough to attempt it. Merry Christmas, Gina! May you and your wonderful family enjoy all the blessings of this holy season.
It took me 5 minutes into this video before I realized she even had an accent. Starting out with 5 lbs of flour I knew she was the real deal. I am Sicilian, we do nothing in small batches. Anytime I find myself missing my mama... I will just sit and watch this video👌🏼. It’s like being in the kitchen with her again.
I cannot make small anything! I am cursed to make big big big!! Sometimes a curse is truly a blessing! Lol! I love Gina. She is my lost generation I miss so much!
I never met either one of my grandmothers since they left this earth before I was born. When I watch your videos I think about how nice it must be for your family to have such a sweet and thoughtful mother and grandmother. I watch your videos every week. You are a JOY to watch Gina! Your English is just fine too. I love listening to your accent and I will continue watching your videos so please keep them coming. Thanks, Jan
Your beautiful traditions will now never be lost and never be forgotten. Millions will be able to bring joy and love to their families tables thanks to you and your family! Thank you for sharing!!!! Seeing you makes me miss my mom and grandmother. God bless you sweet woman.
You make me think about my late Mamma. Unfortunately She passed very young, but use to cook just like you. We have always kept her recipes and kept up the tradition. when you started singing the song « Tu scende dale Stelle » well that really made me cry because she use to sing that all the time. She was an amazing cook also. Happy you are passing our true way of cooking and not the fake Americanized food that is out there. God bless you. 💞
Please Ma'am, Don;t worry about your English, for you are a joy to listen to! It's so clear, that you love your family dearly, and also, love making the foods they enjoy...and we are the fortunate ones, to observe and enjoy it all ... and learn how to cook delicious foods too!!! Am so happy to have found your channel, and every one of your videos is a 'gift', unto themselves. Thank You, Mrs. Gina! Gretchen Belken :)
I've become somewhat addicted to this channel. I'm a "young guy (67)" that has loved to cook since almost forever. Her recipes are awesome but her presence is absolutely precious. So happy to enjoy this channel for much more than the recipes! Her camera presence is so much like being a daughter and being taught how to cook "the way I've always done it"! Extremely special... If I had 4 thumbs they would all be turned up!
My husband and I love you. We watch your videos together He is Colombian and he translated your song you sang in another video for me. He says Italian and espanol are similiar. I know you are lonely for your family but your are honoring their memory so well. You are blessing many people by passing on what they taught you. I can cook so much better now. My husband took your eggplant I made for him to work! Thankyou Ms. Gina Godbless you and your family. You are a blessing to us. ❤️
This is a perfect treat for a crowd! It reminds me of funnel cake....WHO doesn't like fried dough? Gina, you are the sweetest!, We are so fortunate to have access to these wonderful videos of a traditional Italian grandmother , doing what you do best, talk, create and sing! Shout out to the camera crew, Thanks for sharing this amazing woman with us.
Thanks Gina for being so genuine, so true. You bring me nostalgic memories of my grandma Katarina who used to spend most of her time creating lovely macaroni and baked rice dishes and minestrone. You are a true ambassador of comfort, warmth and love .
Grandma don’t worry about your English. We understand you perfectly plus, with the amount of love you give when you prepare your dishes, we get lost in all that love watching your sweet personality. We love you. Plus you always give us the recipes at the end 👍 😉
I LOVE watching Nana Gina: i swear to God, she’s my grandmother (from Sicily) incarnate - every word, expression, mannerism, repetition, the singing, the sign of the cross. I can’t get enough of her! Love all her posts. And she cooks just like my grandmother Maria did. Wonderful. Dearest Gina - you speak English just fine, and the mix with your Italian is beautiful. Keep posting!!! Buon Natale, Nona e famiglia!! ♥️
I came across Gina videos last week and I can't stop watching them. I also got my mom to watch them with me and we play them on the TV. She reminds me so much of my grandmother and my mom says the same thing. Physically an even her mannerisms. Watching her it's almost like watching my grandmother. My mom speak Spanish and knows a little bit of English but somehow she understands Gina's English and it's the funniest thing. Anyways we just really enjoy watching her videos. Tomorrow we are making her biscotti recipe so wish us luck. anyways God bless you guys for sharing her with us and God bless Gina. Now she's our RUclips grandmother.
Dear Grandma Gina, we love what we consider to be your accent, we love your stories, recipes, and singing. This is your show, and so however you would like to speak is personally fine with me. Perhaps you should teach us Italian so You can be comfortable. Please, that is who you are! And we love you for who You are.
Tracy Trump, I agree with every word you said to Grandma Gina. I also thank her whole family that is involved to help make her videos and cleaning up operation behind the scenes. Have a great day every one.
You are perfect. Speak Italian, your kids can translate, but I love your English. You make me smile, as I know your food is your love and you are a blessing to RUclips. I hope they pay you lots of money to share your heart. God Bless.
I love you Gina, you are so sweet!! I am 81 years old, and unfortunately my health so not so good, I wish I could work like you do, God Bless you, and apparently he has !! Please don't feel bad about your english, you speak beautifully, Most of us who watch you couldn't begin to speak Italian. Your family is so Blessed to have you with them. I pray our Good Lord Blesses you and keeps you in the palm of his hand !!

The way you speak English is one of the things that endears yourself to me. I love the way you speak because it's totally charming. I love you just the way you are.
I am so glad I found your channel..you remind me so much of my family. I could listen to you talk all day. My grandma made zeppoli but I never learned how. I will try this out and surprise my brothers. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe and your lovely presentation. You made one Italian girl very happy.
I’m Greek and she reminds me of my big YiaYia ( great grandma) ! It truly brings me joy to watch you .. I think you’re an angel ! God bless you and your family and thank you for bringing me joy 😘
I can't fully express how much joy and learning I receive by watching your shows. Thank you for sharing your gifts. Much love and admiration. God Bless.
Gina ALL GRANDMAS N MOMS USED THERE HANDS . People are weird today lol how they think food was made BY HANDS !!! your hands are beautiful, wish my grandma was here to see her beautiful hands. She use to make me soup and butter me bread. I'd fall asleep at the table. We love our moms n grandmas cooking with there hands. Its hardworking. These young ones today have no idea. Love you... Love your stories about mom n grandma.
Gina, I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoy your videos! Everything from your twin grandchildren, to the sign of the cross, your singing, EVERYTHING touches my heart. BTW, your English is just fine.
I love listening to Her. She speaks English better than She knows. She is ADORABLE AND SWEET! I lost My Beautiful Grandma many years ago when I was 17 years old. She passed away. She was A Beautiful Woman also. I love listening to The Elderly. My Mother just passed in August, 2019 at the age of 99 years old. I am now 54 years old. I love learning and listening to the much wiser and kinder Generations.
Grandma Gina, you're so impressive with the many recipes you hold in your heart. Thank you so much for educating us. It's wonderful. Your love is so contagious. You're teaching us more than just recipes. You're teaching us to have an attitude of gratitude, and we are thankful to God for YOU.
When I heard that accent it brought me back to my nonna Vincenza, if she had a cobbler on I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Funny you mention about the new gadgets, years ago my dad decided to upgrade her to a newer washing machine, she had the tub washer with the crank on top, she made him take it back. Mrs. Petitti is a wonderful soul and you can tell she loves her family dearly, and loves cooking for them just as much. You are very lucky to have her around, enjoy her as I would give 5 years of my life to spend one more day with my beloved nonna. BTW, when I saw the raisins I thought she was Sicilian.
you demonstrate the simple joys in life...being in your home preserving your heritage through cooking and demonstrating simple values....individuals like you give me optimism for the world...god bless you!
Ms. Gina--your accent is like music to my ears. You speak the universal language of grandmotherly love. The grandmother I knew was Hungarian who also made her own doughs, pastries, jams, meals, everything from scratch. I would watch in amazement as she would peel fruit, the peel in one long strand, never breaking...or it seemed. She would tell me stories of her village in Hungary and life as an immigrant not know any english (she came to US in 1928 as a young woman), of baking bread in the village ovens, of stomping cabbage , the plum harvest and making lekvar (jam), so on and so on...Grandmothers like you and mine are the family historians, the keepers and teachers of traditions, you are a treasure to your family and everyone who watches you. God Bless and thank you for sharing YOU and your traditions.
You make me happy! Every time I watch one of your videos...! Thank you for being such a sweet, loving person, and being a great cook. I enjoy seeing how food was prepared in the days before bakeries and shops were so plentiful that we can go out and just about buy anything we want to eat. But it is not as good as that made by grandmother's hands. All the best to you. Rose Marie
Much love sent to Gina for all her wonderful recipes and showing us the correct way to make them. God bless you Gina. You are the best and we all love you.
Gina, you are such a delight to watch. I love all you do and enjoy just listening to you because you have a good spirit and so happy............God Bless you too.
I'm of Italian descent my family come from Calabria I so enjoy you grandma there's nothing that you cannot make in Italian dishes. And I enjoy your singing you are such a sweetheart of a lady❤️
Good Italian Catholic!!! Ask God's blessing on what you do...always! This practice is forgotten by so many. That is why there are such problems in the church today. Too many have forgotten WAY too much! A beautiful Christmas song along with baking for Christmas! Happyness! I know this song even though I am not Italian. It is sung at Christmas Eve mass each year.
Hi beautiful NONNA. You have blessed hands. You remind me so much of my mom who passed away at the age of 102 in 2016. She could do anything and she taught me so much about Italian cooking and baking, but I will never be like her or you. You are a beautiful person and your family seems to appreciate all you do because I know you do it all with your love and with your heart. Have a wonderful Christmas and keep up the good work.
Grandma Gina, love watching you. Thank you for your kindness in sharing your wonderful heritage in cooking. Sing, sing, sing. God bless. Barbara, Montana
I,m 85 and remember my kleine grusmuter baking her breads and stollen. She spoke Austrian with Hungarian thrown in like spice. Gina is a gives me the same happy feeling. Thanks
Grandma Gina - I found you by accident, but since we know there are no “accidents”, I am overjoyed to have found you. I LOVE EVERYTHING ITALIAN! But I was raised Irish Catholic. To hear you speak and introduce us to your wonderful recipes is beyond my wildest imagination! I will be making everything you have up on the RUclips service. If you have a web or Facebook page, please share it with those who will follow you. Cook, cook, cook! Everything about you and your style, I Love! Thank you for the gift of you, and for the gift of your talent. Where are you from please? Again, thank you, William Hedge from California.
I was born in Faeto, a small town near Foggia. I now live in NJ. My videos are dishes I remember making in Italy as well as the things I learned here in America. You can follow me on Instagram@buonapetitti
You are a sweet lady and love your English and accent no matter how you speak it to make yourself understood and at the same time how you tell a little of your stories from your country. Love you I wish I could have known my grandmothers and learned from them as did. God Bless. Love your singing and how you blessed your cooking. You can be the granda (abuelita, in Spanish) for a lot of people.
Thank you, Gina! My Aunt would make these for us when we were children, and we loved them. I always thout they had to be eaten immediately; never knew they they would be good even if made a day or two ahead of serving! Thank you, i love you, and i think you speak perfectly well, from your heart!!!
Good exercise! I heard “thanks to God”, I think. I love how the family says nothing but just lets her be herself.Thank you Gina’s family. The experience is precious.
my mom used to make these for us growing up, from her italian mom. These are the best little friggin nuggets of fried bread EVER. I can remember the distinctive smell and taste. She would put it on the laundry dryer to rise the dough and just put the dryer on for 5 mins...it would stay warm in there for the rest of the hour
WHEN I SEEN YOU MAKE THAT BUCKET OF PIZZA, I THOUGHT OMG THAT IS TORTURE MAKING THAT. AND AFTER WATCHING YOU...I NOW KNOW WHY I LOVE ITALIAN FOOD SO MUCH. YOU PUT YOUR HEART AND SOUL INTO ANYTHING YOU MAKE. YOUR JUST AMAZING. I LOVE YOU.
Absolutely nothing wrong with how you speak! I can listen to you all day and never get tired. Stay the way you are and, please, never apologize for how you talk. It’s what makes you who you are and that’s what makes you so lovable!!!! 😘
Grandma,if I didn't say earlier ....I understand your english. Dont worry about that. Just please keep cooking and share your recipies..all of us on you tube love you..God bless you!
Ahhhhhh Nonna Gina I am sending love and hugs. So happy to have found your channel. It's been a while since I have had zeppole. I felt like you were preparing just for me. God bless you sweet lady.

Gina
I love hearing you talk and watching your hands express yourself. You warm my heart.
I love it when you wrap the dough in blankets on the couch. So much love💗I need a nap after watching you knead that dough. Such good food.
AMEN...
You are perfect. Speak Italian, your kids can translate, but I love your English. You make me smile, as I know your food is your love and you are a blessing to RUclips. I hope they pay you lots of money to share your heart. God Bless.
Watching these videos is like chicken soup for the soul. God bless you Gina

So much light in one little Grandma's smile. Thank you Gina
I love it when she starts singing! She's so lovely!
you demonstrate the simple joys in life...being in your home preserving your heritage through cooking and demonstrating simple values....individuals like you give me optimism for the world...god bless you!
Merry Christmas Gina!!! You speak english very well!! Most if us do not speak a second language. You should be very proud beautiful lady!!
All I can say is, I wish I was in her family or a neighbor. Lol! God Bless you Gina, you’re terrific.

Brava Gina buone feste tua cugina Maria Altieri
Grandma Gina, love watching you. Thank you for your kindness in sharing your wonderful heritage in cooking. Sing, sing, sing. God bless. Barbara, Montana
It is perfect for 2,5 kgs of flour. In high temperature much of flour becomes sugar so you always put some salt even to sweet cakes.
Grandma using your hands is the best way to mix. I love to watch you cook! I’ve learned so much watching your show! Love you Grandma Gina! 🥰😘

I am first generation Canadian 🇨🇦 with Italian born parents ( from Minturno, Latina, Italy 🇮🇹 ). I can’t tell you how much joy you bring to our family through your channel. 😃 My my mother-in-law Virginia also known as Nonna Gina passed away a few years ago. She used to sing while cooked , she loved her cats and she even attended church regularly just like you!! We miss her dearly and are reminded of her every time we watch you cook the same meals she used to cook.
