    This is literally exactly what I was looking for. I noticed the similarities between various beats by artists like Britney and NSYNC. Til now I never know anything about Max Martin.

    So many of these are from the Hit Kit V3 and the Roland JRV Dance Expansion Loops. Incredible production

      It's better to buy the version of the Cheiron's library like "PowerFX - Downtown Beats".

      @@Mattened This is a library that was apparently released after Cheiron closed down. The demo contains sort of authentic rhythms and some sounds used by Cheiron themselves that may have been taken from their tracks (which Cheiron made from scratch or manually recorded from vinyl and then layered with GM Midi rompler drums or maybe recompiled various loops from Best Service XX-Large, but definitely not from Dance Mega Drums 2 library, since it appeared after the release of Cheiron's studio songs and it already contains rips from their songs).

    Cool using logic too! I believe a lot of the 90s stuff was made in logic (old logic haha) before those guys all moved to pro tools...

    Finally someone who nailed the Max Martin / Cheiron sound. The «jet engine startup» at 00:38 is addictive 😁 Not gonna lie, I found a vid on YT of a jet engine startup, sampled it, put on a pitch envelope to exaggerate and voila, I got close. May I ask where you got that particular sound from?

    I’vs been trying so hard to learn how to make those synth, brass, string blast sounds! What are they called? And how do you make them?
    They come in at 0:03 0:12 and 0:22

      it's classified as an Orchestral hit, and it's in a lot of late 90s digital synth such as JV-1080 or Triton. The hit that i used is from Hit Kit V3.

    This sounds amazing! Great job! I've been obsessed with the Cheiron sound ever since the early 2000s. I've recently made a demo of a BSB type instrumental. I'll post a snippet here later so you can hear what I've achieved.

      @@kentmash8981 thanks man! I think that's one of the samples from the Roland Dance expansion that I pitched down and put through a reverb. There's also a similar sound in the free Zenology synth in Roland Cloud. I do however wish to buy 1080 or 2080 and the Dance expansion so I can play with it.

      @@filipjonathan man you should buy M-DC1 which is a module version of expansion and it just costs $200 or so on reverb! i really recommend it! Also there's similar sonar ping sound on JUNO-106 but didn't know that Zenology has it too!

    Hey! your production sounds AWSOME! For a few days I've been struggling to get these sounds and I can't find them. How can I find the snare reverb of 00:23??

      Thanks! it's a layer of normal snare and particular sound called "sonar ping". you can find similar sounds from different synth (like JUNO-106) or stock sounds from Akai sampler. i forgot which one particularly i used but hope this helps!

    Well done! Sounds very Cheiron indeed! Do you know Synth V? It's a vst voice synthersizer that can quite convincingly sing (especially voice 'solaria') using a pianoroll which lets you type the lyrics right into the notes. If you use that to add vocals to this and then use AI to alter that voice into a cheiron artist like a britney spear's voice (using various AI voice websites this should be possible)...then you can really finish this cheiron song

    Where can I find the sound coming from your TEK HIT track? I know it’s such a classic sound from this style but I’ve never come across it in any VST

      I assume you're talking about Orch stab thing, and it's from the one from Hit Kit V3 and i believe i added techno hit from JV1080.

      Ya I guess it’s a mix of things I’m hearing definitely a “stab” tho. Hoping I could find some type of VST that I could do those with chords instead of just finding samples. Either way I appreciate the tip I’ll check out the Hit kit! Really would love to incorporate more of this style to my tracks.

    How did you replicate that first reverb sonar snare hit perfectly??? It’s literally perfect and I can’t figure out if you made it or the sample is from a drum machine

      im flattered! I'm not quite sure but i remember i opened a different project and tried to layer and mix different kinds of sonar ping from akai S1000 library, or Juno-106 preset (I used one from cherry audio) and then I layered with snare on this project.

Pretty cool, a lot of my friends go to Berklee. Anyways thanks for the info, I’ll see if I have samples from those music machines because my music teacher gave me a huge file of samples from 100s of different vintage machines so I’ve been stalking your page looking for the machine samples you use lmao👀

      I am not sure about JV-1080 besides purchasing from Roland Cloud, but actually M-DC1 is actually a module version of a Sample CD from AMG called "Black II Black" and "Remix" so You might be able to find it on the internet. At least the "Aaaaaah" sound which is famously used by Nelly's Dilemma is on Splice so it's worth to check it out.

      @@kentmash8981 Even more interesting, all the sounds from the M-DC1 (which I happen to own) are also featured on the E-MU Formula 4000 Vol. 2 Techno Trance sample library.       "hardware Roland M-DC1 for drums and sweeps, manic shots,
      hardware E-mu's vintage keys' stringswheel (it's included in later version firmware) for pad,
      Solina in Omnisphere,
      heavily compressed piano (i think it's software korg M1),
      talkbox guitar processed thru guitar rig,
      sonar ping (aka chiron snare) by DCO-106 by cherry audio,
      Hit Kit V3 for Orch hit and breathy percussion,
      software Roland JV-1080 for JP haunting and sax, reverse orch hit,
      and for other stuffs like organ pluck or electric piano, I used logic stack sounds."

    What are these drum samples? They’re perfect!!! Any recommendations on samples or vintage drum machines to use?

      Thank you! IMO snare is all we need to recreate this identical sound and i used hardware called M-DC1. I believe the sound originally comes from processed clap sound from MPC. Famous example is used in I"m So Into You by SWV. Anyway I believe other stuffs like kick and hihat is not that significant. Hope this helps!

      @@kentmash8981 Thank you! It would be interesting to see how to recreate an R&B pop sound like "Genie In a Bottle" by Christina Aguilera because the drums are really different. The kick is super smooth and sine-y without much distortion or impact, similar to an 808, but it just warbles. I think her producer said he used an Akai MPC60, but it would still be interesting to see that soung recreated if you ever wanted a video idea!

      @@123zachstar There's actually a very in depth article about how that track was created. The producer used a Korg TR-Rack. I've recreated it, and the drum sounds are spot on. Cheiron also had both the Korg Trinity, and the rackmount version, the TR-Rack.

      @@riccardoscire The snare, the most identical part is from Roland M-dc1 which is like $150 on reverb, and kick is probably from the same module called "house kick" (tbh i think it really doesn't matter about kick and the snare is the key.) And for the "sonar ping", I used akai s1000/3000 samples from "share samples here" thread on Gearslutz, but I figured you can make quite similar sound from Juno-106. Cherry Audio just released DCO-106 which contains all of the factory preset of 106 with $25.
