this was great to see. always thought the production was ironically complex for being “generic bubble gum pop music” back in the day. would love to see your spin on “neptunes” type of production back in the day
Tune in literally next week then 😉
@MakePopMusic, what about 2000s rnb and hip-hop
that was kind of the hook of it all. it was called thoughtless, but 5 part harmonies with mode changes, is anything but. I always like how in the "pop" world, you have to find new ways to create using the same limited tools. Also... I can't wait for the Neptunes tut
they made songs for tweens, but they went the extra mile!
especially Max Martin, though swedes were always so good at dropping bangers
The “Will Smith” bass had me chuckling 💀 7:33
That 90s pop is timeless. I have seen max Martin actually once hehe 😊
What i noticed about 2000s style is how much acoustic guitars were used and strings. This sample pack is gold my man. I have some synths in my studio alot sounds from the roland jv 2080.
2000s pop at it's prime ✨
YEPPP
It’s like a mix of everybody - bsb and tearin’ up my heart - nsync. Awesome work.
I really love the vibe of the late 90s to 2000s music. It's something I really want to incorporate on my music and I'm giving you a lot of thanks because of tutorials like these that are super worthwhile to take time and absorb
Slap bass preset called "Will Smith" 😂😂😂😂 great video Austin
In those days in those productions they mostly used Korg Trinity, and Roland and E-mu sound modules
Yep! We sampled some of that stuff for this pack!
Yes, they most certainly have!
Beautiful as always. Congrats on the new release!
dude seriously props to you for all the work you put into these packs
So cool - thanks for making this vid…it’s so fun to see you building the track 😃
You captured perfectly the vibe! Respect!🙌
This is so cool, glad to hear a lot of the sound broken down and explained. Thanks for making this!!
Been waiting for a video like this for a long time. Super nice work, had a nice throwback hahaha love BSB and i’m a producer so really appreciate this video. Good job
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank u!
The y2k pack sounds so cool
This is so awesome dude! Thx for that
Absolutelly smashed it mate! RESPECT!
Best video ive ever seen really, its soooooo great dude, this music awesome too
absolutely amazing job
Hey Austin, I really love your content, thank you for all of your videos. can you make videos about composition and Songwriting?
Ok personally I am not a pop music fan but I love your music production work. It’s very good stuff and I’m impressed by the sound of this one. Great job
I feel so much nostalgia for 90's and 00's boy bands and this was great!! I would love to see/hear your take on a boy band type ballad/love song. And for those that say that boy bands don't make 'real music' clearly haven't seen this video because a lot of work goes into it!! Well done!
Loved it my man. Took me back to the school days.
I'm years late to this channel but I literally feel like a child in a candy store going through the video library. So So So So So good. Thank you for this content. God bless you
This reminds me of one of my childhood favorite Backstreet Boys' song, "Everybody"
Nostalgia 🤩
Anyways, I can't explain in words how much your videos have taught me and the best part is that all of these easily translate to Studio One
Keep going Guru 🙏🏼
Ooh, so good! well done!
THIS SOUNDS AMAZING!!! Super inspired
This is so nostalgic and inspirational!
Really loved this, even bought the pack. Been a huge Backstreet fan for nearly 4 years now and always wanted to produce max martin type hits. Maybe something along the lines of 'I Want It That Way' for another video?
excellent tutorial and excellent song my god. ur a beasttttt
Thanks!
As someone who's born in 91 and lived through that era, this definitely took me down memory lane - tho it still sounds a bit too modern and bright in some ways 😊 For anyone who really wants to dive into the elements of what went into all these 90's pop tracks, I have all the original stems from Oops!... I Did It Again. There's surprisingly large amounts of slap bass and funk guitar going on in those tracks and you'd instantly find a bunch of sounds, that was heavily used the board for BSB tracks as well 😅
Bhai!
A big thank you for creating this fantastic video on making 2000s pop music. Although I was introduced to Western music a bit later around 2007, I must admit that many of my all-time favorite songs come from that iconic Timbaland and Max Martin era. Your video has not only brought back some incredible memories but also given me a deeper appreciation for the artistry and production techniques behind those nostalgic hits. Keep up the great work, and please continue sharing your insights and tutorials. Looking forward to more musical journeys down memory lane!
Thank you so much!! 😁
This is really cool!
This is really great tutorial! Thank you so much for the inspiration!
This was amazing ❤️🔥
Awesome job!
Thank you so much for making those packs for vital🙏 a soon as you switched to vital I started buying your packs. Already bought synergy and will buy Y2K right now❤

I really love this channel
FINALLY!!!! thank you
I haven’t even started the video yet and I know it’s about to be such a banger.
Okay I find myself saying this EVERY single time you drop a vid, but I think is probably my aaabsolute fav "How to" YET! 💙
VIBESSSSS
I appreciate you!!
Dope! Thanks from Brazil.
This is awesome! I bought the Y2K pack and am looking forward to using it a lot. There's a shortage of videos on RUclips about this style of production. I'd love to see a video of you making a guitar-style Backstreet Boys song, like I Want It That Way or Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely. Keep up the great work!
We have a Backstreet Boys ballad planned!!
Thanks for supporting!
@@MakePopMusic Awesome!
Bro. Broo. You killed that. Per the usual.
Man, I gotta hear the full song. This is 🔥
Would be great to see a Britney Spears song (Like Toxic or Gimme More ) style and thanks for the pack! Bought some days ago and i'm super satisfied :)
Dope 👍🏽
This is dope
Super dope brother! Keeping with the 2000s style can you do 2000s kinda club dance pop I guess. Idk if its the name but artists like pitbull old chris brown older jason durulo usher etc. That would be dope!
The final track 🔥🔥🔥
man i cant believe how talented you are
We defiantly need a dance to this masterpiece.
Great tutorial! That sound pack sounds legit
Thank you!
This was by far one of my favourite videos! More 90s please … maybe a “show me the meaning”seque next ? 🤩
A 90s ballad would be great
@@Danibnp like ... Nobody else by Take That or Could be magic by Take That
Nailed it 🔨
As a person whom LOVES all things boy bands and WISHES for a boy band fest! This is AWESOME!
With that bassline, I start to hear NSync's "I Want You Back" bass a little bit, but you made the instrumental yours. Great job my friend!!
Yeah! That was definitely a big reference! Thank you so much!
ima have to get this pack asap
Fun thx
Slap bass called Will Smith is crazyyy 🤣🤣
Bro you KILLED this!!
Thank you!!
Best video ever
THIS IS TOO GOOD.
That’s a genius job man. Music of 00s really adorable🤯
Thank you!!
F*ck YEAHHHH! Everytime you played that bass line at the start I wanted to sing "I want you ba--ack"! Seriously though, I've been wanting for you to make a video about this for years and it was totally worth the wait! Fun fact: I remember sending in an audition tape for "Making the Band" (O-Town).... but looking back with what happened with Lou Pearlman, I'm kinda glad I did NOT make the band! PS> YES please to the choreography video! :)
YESSS!
Holy shit Making The Band was iconic. Looking back it’s kinda insane now. Hahaha
WE NEED BACKSTREET BOYS POP BALLAD!
Bring me back the 90's ❤
you are a genius. that s all i m gonna say. you and tech house Zen World's channel..fireee. my fav 2 people. you both guys are insanely talented and i look at all these super famous people, comparing to you guys, I like you guys more cause I m amazed how genius you both are actually. and i stalk you guys more than those super famous dudes lol cause you guys are real geniuses. my fav two genius youtube teacher. thank you seriously.
We need that dance!
2 Tutorials I am dying for:
2000's/late 90's R&B
Art Pop a la Caroline Polachek, Grimes, Weyes Blood etc
Yes! We need a good art pop tutorial!
Max Martin is the king!
had to cop this one pack right away. just in case I feel that 90s Inspiration, I'm ready!
- for anybody looking for a modern take, I think "Not Enough" by LIDO and THEY is fantastic example of a modern meets Y2K Boyband
YESSSS. NOT ENOUGH IS SO GOOD!!!
Brooooooooooooooo thank you so much
wow that song is really good
definitely hearing that backstreet boys melody from the song, everybody
DOPEE
Great Tutorial! Can you make a preset for vocals like in this song for fl studio? You're amazing subscribed right away!
bro you absolutely nailed that sample pack holy shit.
Thank you! I'm so happy with how it came out!
OMG! Cool!!!
I'm calling it now, Austin will be the next Max Martin.
An usher type ballad would be sick
You consistently pick the "right" sounds for each genre you do. Im only at the drums. lol
How about Stock Aitken Waterman style production tutorial?
this was sick!! would love a pharrell/neptunes & a timberland tutorial too pls!!
Coming next week!!
Is there a place I can listen to this fully you really nailed this👏🏼
Just at the end of the video!
@@MakePopMusic thanks g🔥
I produced 98 Degrees on their first album
🔥🔥
you are genius
Does the package include vocals? If not you should create a pack with vocals in the style of britney or bon Jovi 😊
You can’t have Pop from that era without Max Martin. ❤ as someone who was in his 20s during this time. You captured that vibe well.
Have to shout out the originators of this sound - Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who invented New Jack Swing. Those drums and Orchestra hits are key elements of their sound that Max Martin was "Inspired" by.
Absolutelyyy. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@MakePopMusicyup!

@@MakePopMusic you ain't lying. just waiting for my hair dye kit to come in so i can rock the frosted tips and make some songs with this pack
This is awesome. I bought the sample pack and have been messing around. Would you mind if we borrowed this composition for a comedy sketch? I’ve recreated it and love it.
thank you! sure! go for it!
I'd pay to have a full album of this
Cheiron Studios ❤
the will smith bass joke hit me like 5 seconds late hahahahaha
