These containers just keep giving me awesome ideas! How about you? Are you seeing builds (terrariums, aquariums, etc.) in everyday objects now? If so, what have you made? Let me know! Also, what do you think of this build? I think it's a fun little display that's perfect as a tabletop piece. Have a great weekend SerpaSquad!
If my cats weren’t overly curious, I’d love to do something like this for my desk. Love your videos and way of thinking! See you at Aquashella Dallas in August!
Im a navy vet with ptsd. I never thought I would find comfort in watching a guy build terrariums to ease my thoughts. Thank you for what you do man im going to start doing this myself one day.
I am a non veteran but also have ptsd from child abuse and. An assault. My son is in the military and has it from time in Iraq dealing with burn victims. My heart goes out to you. Therapy helped me but I still have episodes. I use meditation…carrying you in my heart now.
I enjoy these builds. It makes the hobby more accessible to a wider audience, by giving examples we don’t need to be spending hundreds on tanks/containers to be able to create high quality scapes.
You can find so many potential containers second hand at thrift stores. You just have to imagine what you can do and try it out. I love finding plants that are clearanced out and finding containers that just need a little bit of tweaking like this one.
Your willingness to take us through the whole process, including the mistakes, is what makes these builds so interesting. I see it as a reminder that art isn't 100% inspiration - it's also a lot of work, and being humble enough to admit when you have to take a step back.
Hahaha that was me a couple months back.. got to the point where I'd seen most, and felt burned out a bit lol.. but then when I noticed no new videos for more than a day or two I started to irrationally think "I hope Tanner is okay, hope he's not cutting back on vids!" Guess that's what happens when you're watching at least a few vids a day then suddenly nothing!
@@SerpaDesign i always thought that u probably google it or something until i saw this comment and realise that u probably have alot of it on ur house and without name tags😂😂😂
if you deal with something long enough things like the names of specific things and their uses becomes standard for you. Like a plumber can easily just know what kind of pipes, their angles and so forth needed for a project in most cases.
People remember plant names they way other people remember sports stars if its your passion you will find it easier to remember and easier to learn more plant names
As I cannot garden outside much these days, I would love to try something like this but a browse through a local pet shop recently left me disheartened. Few supplies, few plants, everything so expensive. Obviously, I need more research, online shopping and looking outside the box like you do. This is such a soothing creation. Thanks for the information.
I try to get stuff local as much as possible, but like you, there aren't many shops for this stuff around me. If you know how to search though, there's a lot of great resources online. Good luck finding materials!
@@SerpaDesign could you tell us a good source to order plants through. Maybe someone would give you credit for sales by giving us a discount code to order by. It would benefit everyone. The seller benefits from orders. You benefit from credits they give you & we get a source with discount.
As mentioned above in this thread, you might also be able to source things in the local wild life if you know where to look. it would be easier during late spring to mid fall however.
anyone else think he’s just absolutely precious? someone so full of life and creativity.. can’t help but smile at how excited you get when you talk about your cute little plants and ideas!!! makes me feel better about my own special interests, especially when i’m infodumping about them to people who may not know much about it. Thank you for making these amazing pieces and videos ❤️❤️
Having the paladarium against that black background really makes it look bigger than it is! Without anything else to reference for scale, it looks so cool
There must be a lot of white noise in your animal room. Sometimes I imagine what it must be like to walk through it. The sounds and visuals, along with the presence of life, must be very transforming. You are creating a universe.
Yeah a good bit. I'd love if it was silent tbh, but I suppose it's representative of nature in a way. Things are never truly silent. Some nights when I walk around and look at everything I still don't believe it's real. I feel very blessed to be able to do what I do.
I don't think the project suffers at all without the rosato. The stone and wood chosen have many different red hues peppered throughout them already. Looks great!
this is seriously awesome! i love how transparent you are about your methods and how honest you were about not liking it at first and changing up the plants. That's usually how these things go and showing that gives aspiring aquascapers an authentic look at the process. cheers!
Thanks for these builds. A few days ago my son asked if he could make a terrarium bc he saw an interesting looking glass bottle. I of course was thrilled so we made plans to go out and make a local material terrarium. Have a great day!
Your content makes me hopeful of the future of "this hobby". Before I saw your videos, I felt like there was a very low ceiling to the aquarium hobby. You made me realize it can be so much more than keeping fish on gravel. Thank you!
I understand what you mean by looking at any container and coming up with a blueprint in your head to make a new aquarium. I catch myself doing it more and more lol. Much love as always and great content 😄😄
Oh I love this, it makes me think of an embankment along a massive river, the Nile or Congo maybe. So glad you didn’t scrap it! Can’t wait to see what you do next week 😁
Not sure if you have been up into high altitude mountainous areas in summer, but I bet you'd see some crazy awesome inspiration. Everywhere I look up there looks like a terrarium. lots of different and unique miniature plants with crystal clear snowmelt running between them and some awesome granite chunks between them. Not to mention some awesome mushrooms and insects. It's the closest thing that I've seen in the wild to a terrarium.
The patience and attention to tiny detail is what makes your builds so phenomenal I think. Well, and the obvious, ridiculous artistic talent too! But your patience - man, I would have wrecked this in exasperation half way through, I know I would! I would very much like to display this in my home!
This is awesome as always, tanner. I also really appreciate your music selection. I watch/listen to your videos to help deal w my anxiety/panic attacks. Thanks, man.
You were asking what we’d like to see. I’d LOVE to see a praying mantis enclosure. I love them, and we do have them where I live, I see them quite a bit. I think it would be really cool to have one. Then it could be safe, and let’s face it, they’re pretty awesome.
I always look forward to seeing your videos. They really make my day! This is a beautiful build I love it so much. Your work inspires me more than anything else. Great job! 🤩
This is the perfect little tabletop desk piece, it’s SO incredibly adorable! This is spot-on to what I envision when I think of the words “tiny world”! ^^
I always buy those containers never really used them except to hold each others 🤣 that's a great idea ill start scaping... Spring is here time for some terrariums... Thx for sharing
This is exactly the scale I want to scape things, brilliant informative video all round & nothing but great content, I look forward to watching/supporting your channel more!!
I was so excited to see the purple plant and bummed when you decided not to use it but it came out amazing. That being said, I’d love to see a fantasy inspired build. Purples and blues and unusual plants. Maybe some blue crabs or rainbow fishies 😊
Stunning! I think I actually like it with less roots! Makes the rock formation and plants stand out a little more. But also totally respect the design choice and see the objective!! Much love from Aus
Another great little idea - there doesn't seem to be much that cannot be converted? If it will hold water - it can be made into something inspiring: just add imagination... 🙂
i would LOVE to see a paladarium like this where its a kind of ocostone cove, and the centerpiece plant is a carnivorous plant, if thats possible of course. I personally havent tried it, but itd be really cool to see what you come up with!
I think the repens would've been great if you were to cascade them down the (my view) left side. But hey. It still looks amazing and I'll be doing something similar in the near future. ALSO, you should look into orchids, and incorporating them to something similar to these types of builds. Think. Going to try that here in the coming weeks.
Someday I’m going to make a slightly bigger version of this as a fancy bath for my finches. It would go great with the live plants in my outdoor flight cage.
You make the BEST builds, so beautiful, every one I've seen, absolutely incredible work! And so inspirational, I have an empty 45 gal hexagon tank I was going to sell but now I want to do something with it and this massive monstera plant I have! Thanks for the excellent content!
I lol'd irl when you yeeted the markers/pens hahahahahaha didn't see that one coming And as much as I loved that purple plant - yeah... the green-only choice works better. Really cute setup!

Really nice paludarium today Tanner, great job! Love from Australia! :)

Your a expert
Wonderful design...how do you deal with water scale though? Or do you only use distilled water?
I just scrape it off as needed.

just the supplies lmao
There are endless possibilities! Certainly doesn't have to cost a lot to make an impactful piece for your space.
Not to mention ease of care! I have fatigue issues so I like to deal with small builds so I can put less time, care and maintenance into it 👍

Remember what Bob Ross says, there are no mistakes, just happy little accidents.
Discovered you lastnight and binged about 6 hours of your content. Love the videos, your level of skill is amazing.
welcome to your new addiction

Haha my girlfriend and I are also new addicts.
I'm always baffled on how you managed to remember a lot of plants and their names and how they will fare with the scapes. Amazing job as always 👍❤️
Been doing this for a long time now 😅
When you read things , you remember them better .

You can see the pure joy Tanner got from throwing his markers at 0:24. 😂 Simple indulgences -- love it.
I love all your builds, never stop being you! Also, love how the quality of the editing and filming has been going up, its looking awesome!
Always fascinating to watch your vision come to fruition.
I treat these videos like people treat their fav TV shows. With food & drinks, on a big screen, in a comfy chair. Look forward to each Sat.
WOW. This build. You never cease to take me to another world. I can imagine myself swimming in this!
I like how you showed that it wasn't perfect the entire build, but that you could still pull it together to make something beautiful

The palladium is very lovely, but can we talk about his shirt with the monstera leafs on it in the bluer shades. It looks cool!

The only RUclips channel that brings me nothing but joy and relaxation! Love the mossy vibes 🤙
I love that project. It’s a teeny piece of paradise. Well done.
ooh, that's how you work with dragon stone! excellent. now i can bend this thing in working on to my will (mostly)
I love these ones you make with running water and floating plants!
At the beginning of the video, I was thinking even Serpa couldn't make it work. Now it's an epic waterfall. Awesome job Serpa.
Acrylic anything is my favorite I to see everything as something else love the build
It's always a wonder to watch to build stuff
Zelda vibes certainly!!!! Missed opportunity though. I loved the purple, oh well
Only 38 seconds in and already love it! Always a pleasure to watch you go to work!
A tiny little gem! Thanks for the video
We need another tour or maybe individual updates on these little things! Love seeing them built and would love to see them grown in!
Thanks for these builds. A few days ago my son asked if he could make a terrarium bc he saw an interesting looking glass bottle. I of course was thrilled so we made plans to go out and make a local material terrarium. Have a great day!
Your creativity never ceases to make me smile.
Simply amazing Tanner. You are a freaking GOD!
I love the idea that you committed to the project even though you were unsure about it at first, The result is amazing!
Gotta show the build as it happened. Usually I'm pretty sure, but sometimes I want to scrap them.

Patients and imagination came up this awesome creations 👍👍
You have gotten so much more comfortable I front of the camera, that makes the videos better
Oh I love this, it makes me think of an embankment along a massive river, the Nile or Congo maybe. So glad you didn’t scrap it! Can’t wait to see what you do next week 😁
Love all your videos 😌 keep being such a positive dude 👍💛
I love that syngonium
This is crazy beautiful and looks like a mini waterfall you could find hidden in the middle of a giant rainforest
Excellent. I always want to say "add shrimp!" They can bring a level of movement and life to the tank and require minimal maintenance. Inspiring.
Seeing some brine shrimp in this might be fun to see.
i love the tiny lil paludariums

Woah, breathtaking.
I love the superglue + dust tip. Works the same as super glue and baking soda when modeling with paper
This is awesome as always, tanner. I also really appreciate your music selection. I watch/listen to your videos to help deal w my anxiety/panic attacks. Thanks, man.
Glad to hear that they help. Making these project helps me deal with depression and such, so I can relate.
Personally I really liked the purple flower but otherwise looks great! Good job 😊
Your light is so bright, friend❤️🙏
It’s breathtaking how you can make these beautiful scapes. Love your videos!
Oh my gosh! That is so cool! When you placed the rock in the water, then put a plant on it, the whole thing came together, for me.
I will definitely try using the rock dust-glue technique, thank you so much! Amazing video as always!
Ur all designs and scapes are so different i love ur all scapes👍👍
I love the little builds!! How the indoor patio pond I think that is my favorite so far

I LOVE this so much, absolutely insane
It would be cool too see a future version of all your builds. It always interests me too see how the plants have grown. Keep up the amazing work. 🔥🔥🔥
As usual, "you knocked it out of the call park!"

That came out awesome! Love the vibe, it really does look like a slice of nature shrunken down 😍
Beautiful brother., God bless you
Absolutely love it! Really keen to have a go at something like this.
I like these tiny scapes you build 🤘🍻🤘
That one was sick.
Love this on a lot can't wait to see what you come up with next.

I freaking love these table top creations ! As a student they seem really feasible in the little room I have !!
love your videos! inspiring and beautiful as always, thank you.
