The mistake of the end ripping off- completely managable, it's the fact that he decided to just tear the entire thing up after to 'cover' it that kills me 😭 Poor ben!
14:08 Mike's reaction to seeing that Barry finished the slappy is amazing. The juxtaposition of Mike's unbridled joy against Jamie and Ben's confusion is one of the best things you've ever done.
Mike and Barry both should get a badge for figuring out their "Shanghai Slappy"--Mike for conceiving of it & Barry for figuring out what he was doing and going with it.
A deciphering badge is a necessity in this lolol. Figuring out what the hell the chef is wanting and actually delivering on it is a skill in of itself.
I dont know how many people have said this before but I am so grateful that you guys have kept the phrase "where's the dish?" in the intro to these things since its such an iconic phrase for this series. Thanks you guys.
Ahh as someone who has watched for years, it’s so nice to see Mike so excited and confident and proud of himself! So well-deserved, you were spectacular 😊
Pass It On is the only format where you can start cooking something from one part of the world and end up with something from the complete opposite end of the world. Love it!
From the moment Mike's eyes lit up with what can only be described as a lightning bolt of genius, I knew we were in for a glorious episode, for better or for worse. The fact that it was the better was the cherry on top, and it feels great to have the boys get a W in Pass it On for once.
I'm so proud of Mike for finding the divine inspiration to salvage the mess left behind by Jamie and actually managing to pull it off, absolutely beautiful effort today lads
Jamie and Mike both having existential crises along the lines of "I want to do well but everything is breaking" has very strong "children cooking surprise breakfast" energy.
I've rewatched the reaction 4 times to see each one individually. But I must say that the camaraderie between Baz and Mike was the most beautiful part of it all.
If I’m ever in a bad mood or feeling a little down, this is the episode I go to to cheer me up. It’s pure good vibes for 17 minutes. From Jamie breaking the dragon immediately to Mike’s genius moment to Barry recognizing the idea and bringing it home, it’s all awesome energy and laughter. Love how excited Ben got for it at the end as well. This is why I Iove the boys so much - episodes and moments like these where they just make me laugh, smile, and feel a little bit better about the world.
This is the first time in five years I've seen Jamie accurately grade himself. Edit: Some are arguing for a 2, which is a 4 on the Jamie's Delusional Scale.
This is my new favorite video! To go from Ben’s idea of 3 beautiful Asian dishes to the “Shanghai Slappy” and fried rice was beyond words. Mike and Barry saved the day! 😊
Once again submitting my idea for a live reaction pass it on where each person goes to the chef cam area after their turn and they can warch it all fall apart lol 😂😂
I've tought the same in other Pass it ons, but not in this one. The confused faces of Ben and Jamie when they lifted the lid, and the happiness in Mike's when he realized that Barry had catch his idea..🤣🤣🤣. That is priceless!!!! And we would have missed that today.
Solid pass, 10/10 just for the creativity that no one but Mike saw coming! And 10/10 for Barry for figuring out Mike's idea and following it without deviating!
The glorious trifecta of 1. Mike having a lighbulb moment and coming up with the idea 2. Barry realizing what Mike's plan is and executing it 3. Mike's joy when he realized that Barry did indeed complete his plan Is absolutely amazing and lowkey the highlight of the episode
Love that it was the Normals saving the dish and making it a pass. Massive respect to the genius of Mike and Barry suddenly developing Pass It On telepathy for one of the best dishes cooked in this format! 🤣
Finally. The boys are back in town!!! 🎉🎉🎉 My pure joy when carnage Mike declared 'I'm doing it! " and Barry caught the vibe- my soul did a chefs kiss. Just thank you. ❤
One of the best PIO's I've seen, and I don't think I've missed any. Such a rollercoaster of emotions. This is definitely Jamie's cloud egg moments. And well done to the Huttlestorm for putting on his heroes cape and saving the day. Keen to see uncle roger mark Barry's fried rice!
Wow It was amazing. I laughed I said oops when Jamie broke the egg plant I cheered when Mike didn't faff much and at Barry's face when he twigged what Mike was doing and it turned out wonderful. The best roller coster pass it on for ages thanks guys I loved it
This Pass It On was genius on the back of Mike and Barry’s Shanghai Slappy 😂 felt like they managed to communicate what they wanted well and honestly it feels like the kind of fusion twist that could make a really nice actual takeaway. Great job guys!
Love Mike's manic energy since he's come back from pat leave..... either he has found a new happiness since a baby entered his life or he is in constant hysteria from the sleep deprivation....or both!
Mike and Barry celebrating at the reviel was amazing. And the fact it actually tasted good was even better! I think this is my favorite pass it on ever.
Honestly, this made me sooooo happy. I can always count on Sorted to cheer me up on a rough day, and Mike's reaction to seeing that Baz picked up his idea and ran it to the finish was priceless. That was a scream of pure joy. 10/10
I don't know if I can stress this enough... I need more "Pass it on episodes in my life". At times, this pure chaos is the only thing that has the power to make my day better. I do love all the other content you guys curate. But, the pass it on sequences are extremely precious... please do more of them.
Watching this live online during filming was hilarious, watching the edited version is even better! Thanks again, fellas! I'm watching this before church with a sip of my hand-delivered bottle of Sorted Food Strawberry Gin Liqueur 😍 Don't tell the parish priest 🤫 Loads of love from Canada 🇨🇦
Mike deserves his 9/10 score for coming up with a brilliant way to save a dish that looked like it was turning into a disaster. And kudos to Barry too for recognizing what Mike was trying to do and putting everything together properly.
I want a chefs only PIO. Bring James back for it, order is James-Kush-Ben. Each have 15 minutes. Kush would bring the chaos that the normals usually contribute.
Mike has come along leaps and bounds in the last year - the pie in a bap theme, along with the duck and pork filling was utterly inspired. I think this has to be one of my favourite episodes in a long while.
The three lads jumping up and down in excitement while Ben looked into the camera like Jim from The Office might have been one of my favorite ever Sorted moments lol
I am SO HAPPY that this is back! In my opinion, this is the best episode you've made since James left. Hopefully Kush can join in as the second chef next time. His chaos combined with Jamie's would be hilarious.
Guys, I have a rotten cold and I'm literally feeling sick with stress over a major "Thing" at work tomorrow. A pass it on is *just* what I needed right now. Thank you.

This was wonderful! Somehow you managed to retain the comic freneticism of your standard PIO, and still manage to end up with a dish that looked good and sounded tasty, and a heart-warming moment as well!
❤️🔥 As much as I just adore each of you, Mike has got to be the funniest imo. 😂 He is so great at improv and always has me laughing! I hope Dad life is going well for you Mike!! ☮️💟☮️
Ben going through the trouble of cutting the eggplant and Jamie immediately breaking it is classic Sorted.
Out of all the stuff Jamie's done over the years, this one made me facepalm the most.
It was infuriating, but to be expected 😅
The mistake of the end ripping off- completely managable, it's the fact that he decided to just tear the entire thing up after to 'cover' it that kills me 😭 Poor ben!
Not as bad as Barry invoking uncle rodger
there was no way it was ever gonna turn out like ben wanted but jamie breaking it immediately then deciding to tempura it was perfect
Mike's excitement for Barry at the end was unparalleled euphoria
He was SO happy!
truly one of the most precious things i've ever seen
Was easily the BEST moment for this episode!
@@jessiep2471 maybe one of the best moments in sorted history for me!
I loved that moment
14:08 Mike's reaction to seeing that Barry finished the slappy is amazing. The juxtaposition of Mike's unbridled joy against Jamie and Ben's confusion is one of the best things you've ever done.
Best moment ever for us over here.
Happiest days of Mike’s life:
1. Barry working out Mike wanted to make a “slappy”
2. Birth of his child
3. Wedding day
I was thinking I don't think I've seen Mike so excited while he was making it
To be fair "making slappy" could describe two out of three of the above.
@@arothmanmusic True. The other occurrence would be "made a slappy"
why did Ben decide to do the same shit as last time
Mike and Barry both should get a badge for figuring out their "Shanghai Slappy"--Mike for conceiving of it & Barry for figuring out what he was doing and going with it.
Yeah if anything says "teamwork," that telepathy was it!
Also naming it.
A deciphering badge is a necessity in this lolol. Figuring out what the hell the chef is wanting and actually delivering on it is a skill in of itself.
@@hrodga Yes! The name was BRILLIANT!! Mike and Barry completely "shanghaied" Ben's concept and he loved it!!
i think kush needs to join in on the fun of pass it on and bring it back to 2 chefs and 3 normals
I would love that! really been missing having 2 chefs in the pass it on challenges
I agree! 100%!!!
Definitely
YAS!
Make Kush real!
Jamie when catching a big bottle of oil: "Thanks K... Thanks Janice". So Kush is Janice's actions, while Mike is Janice's voice. Mystery solved!
me scrolling into the comments to see if someone else noticed lmao
kush: delete this
Mike might have had a baby with his wife, but Janice is his and Kush's baby.
No. I refuse to believe Janice isn't real.
You know why Mike's intro has Janice whispering "he's the man," because he's Janice lol
The look of inspiration on Mike's face followed by "I've got a horrible idea!" was classic PIO! This format will never get old!
Usually it spells disaster... This time... it was a stroke of genius, proving that there indeed is only a fine line between madness and brilliance.
I dont know how many people have said this before but I am so grateful that you guys have kept the phrase "where's the dish?" in the intro to these things since its such an iconic phrase for this series. Thanks you guys.
Well said!
100%
Men of Tanith, do you want to live forever?
💯 It wouldn't be pass it out without the iconic where's the dish line.
That lightbulb moment from Mike, you just knew it either going to be complete genius or disaster, and turned out genius.
Only a fine line between the two...
"How hot is this? ..... No" instantly an iconic Sorted quote. Never change Jamie, never change
vs Barry's "How hot is this chili? ... 🥵"
For iconic quotes I'm also plumping for Mike at 15:54: "I tasted the tempura batter, and it tasted like darkness..."🤣
“It tasted like darkness” got such a surprised laugh out of me! Amazing description 😂
I love how quickly a Slappy went from a thing I’d literally never heard of to a genuinely wonderful callback we all just know 😂
Mike's absolute JOY when he lifted that lid off to reveal the shanghai slappy was the greatest thing I've seen in a while! Great job, guys!!!!
“Someone’s made this rice as well!”
“Mm”
AND WE’RE MOVING RIGHT ALONG 😂😂
Don’t make me get uncle Rodger back in.
I figured that was a "get back" on the "Chicken sesame toast" / "THAT'S NOT A THING" comment ;~)
I think it would work better with some kind of fresh salad on the side instead. The only thing that was missing was the fresh greens.
Baz and Mike at the end gave definite Merry and Pippin vibes. Well done lads
Ahh as someone who has watched for years, it’s so nice to see Mike so excited and confident and proud of himself! So well-deserved, you were spectacular 😊
Mike's been on fire lately, his puns in a recent episode with Jamie were spectacular too. Being a dad must suit him
Love how mike shined this episode! Finally some confidence from our chronically low self scoring boy ❤

Jamie immediately breaking the eggplant was heartbreaking 😭

@@samsowdenYeah I wince each time, it’s like watching people trying to build a bridge from the the middle out, leaving the foundations last.
Heartbreaking, or infuriating?
Yes that. So rough. Sigh… but the boys somehow pulled it off beautifully.

Jamie and Mike both having existential crises along the lines of "I want to do well but everything is breaking" has very strong "children cooking surprise breakfast" energy.

- "Ben deserved a 10 for that!"
- "Omg Jamie deserves a 0 just for doing that"

Mike gets a ten. That is absolutely genius 😂

It is inevitable, mister Anderson
My heart sank to the floor when Jamie broke Ebers' snoozing dragon eggplant.
It was a sad moment.
Please never change the intro. It always makes me so happy to hear “Where’s… the dish?!”
“Step 1: I’ve broken it.”
