@@PaulaStevenson-v1x I think you can try Cody at Kiwi Cookers, he made some up after me doing a video using his cooker. I make my own up using dry leaves , peppercorns and a few herbs.
Good too see ya doing well brother, awesome video, i really enjoyed the soundtrack you used at the 55 min mark made the ambiance awesome, lots of love me bro
hearty boilup bro, back in the old days when my mum and dad was around, they use to add cream to there boilup. not very health conscious but was there way...Cool video. kia ora
Heck, thank you very much, that is very kind of you! If you can give me your email address I will send you some links to my videos when I finish editing them. I have one nearly done 🙂
hope im not the only one that loves a good long video on hunting and gathering, too much man and last vid before this hopefully next whitebait season is better with less rain, cheers
If I can film enough content to make a longer video I will, it's just been hard when nothing happens. Too much rain or not enough rain with the whitebait,.
That's where they are right there, feisty fresh as kahawai and they're going for the spinners too... a good days outing. The boil up with that clean fresh watercress! and the smoked kahawai, delicious! it doesn't get any better than that! another good video Mike.👍Sorry about your taonga bro. (favourite knife).
You have to time it right to get the kahawai there most times but definitely watch how the other fishers are getting on first, save the shoulder workout😀
just the hint my friend : change all these triple hooks for single assist hooks! Triple hooks are often relesed from fish mouth. I did at all of my lures and my score is 100x better.-)
Unfortunately my bumbag full of spinners were left on the bench which has a few of those in it. You can still lose kahawai with single hooks as well. I have some spinners a friend sells where the line runs through the spinner to a single hook, spinner moves freely. Now they catch really well and the kahawai can't use the spinner as leverage to get off. There is a guy that fishes this spot with a treble all the time and he slays the most fish 🙂🤷🏽♂️
Wow not easy word forisin I can't spell that anyway today got some watercress in the ripa and catch trout but brown trout put it back we going to cook watercress tomorrow perfect videos thanks from craig
you got no choice but to pump it in down there they turn up when the current is full pumping ether you get it in as fast as you can or your gana lose your spinner on the makers or the rock
I saw a video on some people slaying them in close the other day. We lucky at th moment that we can get some at a couple of river mouths without traveling that far. But the Motu great for going after the kingfish
Kiaora Bro. I was quite enjoying your program and wondering how you going to cook the watercress...but when you mentioned the ABs lost the world cup..so sad. But I really missed the Maori food. Well done Bro. Kakite Greetings from Vanuatu 🇻🇺

You have to play them out a little!
Hunger pains are kicking in!!
Steady reeling no pump and reel. You'll get everything that bites.

in my opinion I think if you do a steady retrieve instead of pump and reeling, you'll have a higher chance of keeping the fish on
