I just got an HX Stomp, and found switching between banks cumbersome, and was wondering about the compatibility. This is highly informative. Thank you.
Hi Paul! Great video! I own the live logic and use it along with hx stomp. Have you noticed a lantency in switching from a PC to another? Mine delays the change of something under a second but I clearly can hear it.. annoying!
I've been fancying a HX Stomp for a while. Does a switcher exist that does the midi thing like the Blackstar but also lets you loop in any extra drive pedals you may have infront of it?
Hi Paul! Thanks for your video, it made me buy it. What I was wondering, when I set up my live logic, and I turn the power off, it "forgets" its settings. Is this normal?
@@Haploidese did you figure this out? I programmed everything. Disconnected it from the PC, powered it off. When I power it back on, the controller knows nothing. I have to re-connect it to the PC and "open" the profile. (I can't do that at a gig everytime) - how do I allow the controller itself to retain the profile?

@@andrewhallvids no mate i think you can add different messages per button. You also get 2 operation modes in patch and custom. As a live pedal user in the setup i use this is amazing and super intuitive, giving more than enough flexibility and a great addition to the helix stomp.
@@PaulGlover I need to be able to control several midi pedals ( Stomp, Strymon Timeline, Strymon BigSky, Chase Bliss Brothers and Jackson Audio Broken Arrow MkII ), changing presets along with individual parameters for each pedal at the same time. Not sure if the Blackstar could do that. If it does then great.
Hi man! Thanks for your vid. I really liked it. I have a quick stupid question: if I set it up, and turn the power off, it ‘forgets’ the settings. Does this happen to you too?

The stomp has loops mate so could achieve the same goals. I am not aware of anything myself dude but would be good. 🤘🧟♂️🤘
The Harley Benton FX8 looper has loops, trs control and midi for not alot of money
GREAT VIDEO THANKS
Would you happen to know how this device compares to the Airstep by XSonic?
I don't buddy but I do know this product is amazing 🤘🧟♂️🤘
How do you set it to bank up and down on my presets?
When saving, try leaving the .bstarmidi suffix at the end of the file name.

@@PaulGlover Paul! Thanks for your response, really appreciate it! Do you always use it with your pc? And do you always "load" the correct settings?
@@Haploidese set it up in this video then never looked back buddy 🤘🧟♂️🤘

That issue you’re having in this video could be caused my Macs security on their latest update operating system
Sound like a possibility macs are pain in the arse at the minute. Thanks man. 🤟🧟♂️🤟
Or buy a Morningstar mc6
I dont think its as affordable mate. But its a good shout. This just fits my board better and works perfect for my needs.
So you only get 6 buttons and only one message per button ?
If so, better off with the Morningstar MC6 or MC8

WHEN YOU SAVE IT JUST DONT FORGRT EXTENSION .bstarmidi so you won´t have any problem.
