    Great tutorial!
    Did you ever figure out how to get the LED'S to light up on the Blackstar controller?

    Nice video!! Scene change works on any preset? I mean, you set your first 3 switches to change scenes in a preset. Then you set the last switches to go to a different preset. After you change to this new preset, your first 3 switches still changes the scenes in the new preset?

      yes, can confirm that's how it works!

    Hi, Just watched your video. I've been considering this or the Midi Captain, however I'm not sure they will do what I want. I would like to have my Quad Cortex in Scene mode and use the Quad to change scenes. At the same time I would like to have my Midi controller set up to change pedals on and off. Not sure if the Quad has to be in Stomp mode first. Can you tell me if this is possible with the Quad Cortex. Thank You.

    cool device but the Midi CC/lights is quite annoying , out of interest if you set the CC to 'momentary' instead of toggle, does it offer the same functionality but the lights don't go on as you switch on the foot ?
    it'd be great if they adressed this in a firmware otherwise, i like the form factory, and battery powered if needs be is kinda neat

    It's been about a year. Do you still recommend this for the Quad Cortex? I just got my Quad Cortex and looking at the Neural DSP forum, users recommend the Morningstar MC8. I'm wondering if it's worth dropping the $300 on that or $170 on the Blackstar Live Logic 6

    Why do you want to use a stomp midi controller when the quad cortex can do it directly? Is it so that you don't have it on the ground live? For fear of damaging or something?

    Do you experience any latency while changing the presets or scenes with the live logic??? In live scenarios??? I recently got a QC and planning to get the live logic to use it on stage.

      There will be a drop when switching presets, but not scenes, so I keep all most sounds for any one song on one preset and just change settings/on/off states in scenes

    Can I assign the looper to the midi control to engage it? I am looking to engage certain affects since QC hybrid mode is limited.

    Hey…How did you get the Live Logic Software.
    I can‘t Download it from the Website. The downloadlink seems not to work. The Blackstar Support don’t respond to emails.

    I started experimenting with midi to control my bass amp, and I stumble upon same feedback problems. My midi controller (Ampero control) does not have switch lights, only the tiny screen which display the last send command: great for debug but totally useless live… well it’s probably new reflexes to muscle up.
    Thanks for the tutorial.

      Damn... I made some research and it seems the world of midi controllers is all the same, no feedback. Except form Morningstar Midi products which are fully programmable, but cost way to much for my current needs.

      Yeah the lights on this blackstar unit do show something (it has a light per switch) the light is on when in on position and off when in off position, and that does give some information based on your configuration, but in most cases (such as mine) actually parsing the info does take some getting used to as you say

    Just for clarification, once you’re done with setup over usb can this run independently to control midi enabled guitar pedals? Also can the expression pedal connections be forwarded over midi as cc messages? I’m looking for a peda controller for sending expression (midi cc) to an Infinty Looper and an Empress Echosystem. In addition to being extra pedal switches as well.

    • @BedroomGuitarHero
      @BedroomGuitarHero  Год назад

      Yes, absolutely, you store the configuration you setup via USB inside the pedal and then connect it and control a midi device, and yes, an expression pedal connects to the blackstar unit (it can take 2 expression pedals) and sends expression pedal midi info that can be configured right on the QC as an expression pedal input

    Can you automate pitch bending via midi? for example for a section of a song have a scene that will decrease your pitch of the guitar down a semitone (or more
    ) like a whammy pedal effect?

    • @Davefranzin
      @Davefranzin Год назад +1

      Ciao Ben.I answer you... Via midi it is possible to do whatever you want, in this specific case from the pedalboard ( but it could also be a computer ) to the Quad Cortex you have to send a midi command CC (Control Change) and assign the Pitch change function to this command, however it remains more simple to use the Quad Cortex with its Switches as everyone does, the convenience of a "floorboard" machine is precisely that of not taking you to anything else ... and when you have to do many concerts by assembling the instrumentation yourself ... the less things you carry the better it is.

      @@Davefranzin hey mate yeah for sure thanks for the tip I ended up using the midi lanes as originally I was using the in list editor.
      Oh I totally agree when we tour we keep everything in two pelican 6 racks already puffed in and ready to go with our IEMs rig. Literally a plug and play situation which makes life so much easier 🤘.
      Thank you for the response !

    • @BedroomGuitarHero
      @BedroomGuitarHero  Год назад

      Yup, I basically have to ignore the lights except on the first switch, which actually works: light on - tighter gate, light off - less tight gate

    • @ljubolukic172

      @@BedroomGuitarHero I just tried your setup. The first switch has to be a toggle, however the others don't - because they default back to the same value. So the LEDs don't stay on.
      Have you done some alterations to your setup in the meantime?
