Just a quick PSA, there won't be any new videos for the next 1-2 weeks: I'm having a friend do some upgrades/repairs on the PC I use for video production, and my laptop is absolutely not able to handle that workload in the meantime. Doronjo is a great character who has influenced Japanese pop culture, video games, anime, and manga, creating the archetype of the terrible trio and sympathetic villains. It's a shame that Devilotte wasn't a playable character, I think TvC was the perfect opportunity to debut as a fighter.
Doronjo being the headliner for the Tatsunoko X Dead or Alive Costumes doesn't surprise me that much considering how much the latter series is known for its predominantly sexualized female cast.
Another awesome fun fact is learning that recently Waluigi in the Super Mario series even resembles Boyacki but funny enough Yuzumpo (Waluigi’s creator) stated on Instagram that it was unintentional but he gladly considers it an unintentional tribute to him. There was even gonna be a Wapeach character but was scrapped but the same designer said that she was 100% intended to be based on Doronjo. It would’ve been so cool since it would have made Wario, Waluigi, and Wapeach a full on Doronbo gang/Yatterman reference!
The fact we never got Speed Racer/Go Mifune in TVC is absolutely criminal. Imagine him using the Mach 5's gadgets as on-hand weapons like getting a beam projectile or sawblades to combo with. 8 year old me would've bought this game SOLELY to play as him.
Well I appreciate the shout-out, I hope that it was at least a little bit able to help with the special intros for these characters. I was honestly surprised that it wasn't done before.
Thank DEI nonsense. Microsoft/RARE butchered Dark Queen in Battletoads 2020. It's clear that RARE had originally taken inspiration from this character 👍👍

TvC is likely to be the height of Tatsunokos popularity ijnthe west but if it didn't translate to much it might not be worthwhile. I'm sure stuff happens in Japan, your not gonna see anything in the west
Fun fact, in Yatterman 2008, Doronjo and Tonzura have their skit about Tonzura accidentally shout "Nobita! " and Doronjo said that she heard that name so familiar. That's because Noriko and Kazuya are also the VAs of Nobita(Noby) and Giant(Big G) from Doraemon series (1979-2005).
I think the craziest thing for me personally, with the mario series with wario and waluigi, yes theres the whole wapeach, but honestly that trio set up is already potentially there with Captain Syrup
Amazing video on one of my favorite villains 🦹♀️ ever. I think the white Doronjo color is a reference to the ending of the live action Yattaman movie, where a fake teaser for the sequel has her in an all white suit. The PS1 smup game reminds me of the All Stars Shooter bonus game, but that might be a coincidence. Also the pig that climbs the tree, basically rains on Boyacci’s parade, since it says “Even pigs can climb trees, when complimented - OINK” Again, love this game and characters so much, so this made my day! :D
That outfit was actually my first thought as, but in that movie bonus scene, the entire outfit was all white, boots and all; I feel like if that costume was what they were going for, they'd have made the whole thing all white to match. It also helps that a few Tatsunoko characters have colors based on antagonists from their show, so it makes sense for Doronjo to have one based on the protagonist of the one she's from.
I actually watched the 2008 version of Yatterman and had a blast with it, I sometimes like the goofy side of anime a little bit more than ones that try to be super serious, and the donjoro gang are the highlight of the humor

Honestly, this is such a good Idea for a series. Just in depth enough on such a specific facet of a series of games to make the perfect length each video and so much content, while having enough buffer time to figure out other stuff. Plus it's JUST vague enough... Man... I literally cannot express enough how much i love this as an idea for a series Plus each video is good, so... That's nice too,i guess. Something funny about Doronjo henchmen it that when I first played Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom on the Wii the character designs for her henchmen look oddly similar to Wario and Waluigi from the Super Mario series but I past it off as an odd coincidence but then years later I learned the designs Wario and Waluigi were inspired by her henchmen which is pretty cool despite me not being a huge anime fan.
She not only pioneered the Trio of Comedic Villains trope but she's also arguably the mother of all Girlfailures LOL Its honestly rare to see a villain or in this case, villains be much more memorable than the heroes themselves.
Hear me out...... They are the early Japanese predecessor to Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Hiroko Sasagawa/Doronjo is Eddy as the schemer and brains of the group and the personality. Boyacky is the brainy lanky member like Edd who puts Doronjo's plans into motion amd makes the gadgets and tools together for the scheme. And Tanzura is the Ed of the group being a lovable oaf and the muscle of the group. Both respective groups of people do things that are basically get Rich quick schemes. Both are generally not really antagonistic towards anyone and they're considered protagonist but definitely try to trick people out of money.

I know this comment isn’t really related to this video but one idea that Capcom Vs’s fans like to see is SEGA Vs. Capcom but for me personally I would rather see SEGA do a crossover fighter similar to Smash Bros because SEGA has dabbled in crossovers before with the SEGA All Stars series and their characters appearing in the Project X Zone series but SEGA Vs Capcom I’m not sure on.
It's very cool to know references or characters that i dont know much in series like this, also i think it's strange the fact that you didn't point out that Poison in street fighter shares a lot of similitudes with Doronjo, like the counter attack super that ends with a dirty kick, as well the pose in her taunt, that is also a kiss and others moves that are very remeniscent of Doronjo in this game, so i suppose that Capcom really liked what they did with Doronjo here.

You Know Who Which Characters Would've Been Great and Awful In the Vs series Tigra, Gunloc, Millie The Model, Claire Redfield, Kaede, Foolkiller, Raven (Beatdown Fists Of Rage), and Whizzer
I fell in love with Duranjo the more I got to know more about her! Definitely a perfect villain archetype that inspired team rocket years later! I enjoyed her with her minions, especially Buyakki, who looks suspiciously looking like Dick Dastardly! She was really a fun character to play as and so damn lovely to boot!❤ No wonder Morrigan saw her charm as rivaling! 😂❤❤

So just like with most Tatsunoko characters, I don't really have much to say on Doronjo, not played much with her yet, and she doesn't really seem like my kind of character, but I do respect the amount of legacy and influence this trio has, and it's nice to A: have a villain character on the roster, and B: get the many references that the three brought with them now, I do want to check out a few of the shows repped in TVC and I'd definitely say Yatterman is one of those, now if only you could watch it over here without... ya'know. There's actually a decent quality fansub of the original Yatternan series on RUclips! It starts at episode 18 or so, but since it's not a continuity centric series, you can hop in whenever. As for Tatsunoko fight, I dunno. It's very notably the one Tatsunoko crossover game from the PS1 era that she isn't playable in for whatever reason.

Not gonna lie it's been a while since I played TVC and thought the original all stars ending cut out after they were questioned about their motivation ,in the video, which in recent times does not bode well for our hapless trio when you hear capcom and motivation in the same sentence
Now is it just me or does one of these hinchman look strangely like a purple clad plumber with the same nose and squiggly mustache ohh my gosh we finally found the father of the warrior brothers and we all thought there was spike but it was really him
If I'm recalling right, that scrapped Wapeach concept for Mario Tennis N64 that made the rounds a while back got canned specifically because that design combined with Waluigi edged too close to Doronjo and her gang for Miyamoto's tastes.
The actual answer probably boils down to a production decision, but if I had to guess, it was probably an in-series justification to avoid just defaulting to Yatterwan every episode.

Tekkaman Blade paired with Chun, Morrigan or Ryu is my go-to, though I've been putting time into Batsu and Joe the Condor lately.
