Just EVAP system code, so no clue. I need new spark plugs anyways so I figured I'd start here first... I bought the uhhhh spark plugs that are for engines with small mods such as even a cold air intake. So hope it all works out .
Great video as always. Quick question: do spark plugs get damaged from close proximity with a magnet? I'm asking because of what you mentioned in the video
thank you so much! The magnet alone should not damage the spark plug, I didn't use it to install the new ones because it's hard to screw the spark with the magnet and I find it easier to use a hose that can grip the spark plug
@@ERICSDIYGARAGE ok thanks for clearing that up. These two vids were perfect because I was already planning to change my spark plugs and also maybe do the valve cover gaskets as well. Do you know if ignition coil performance degrades with time or is it more a matter of replacing them when they die?
@@audioamateur I'm glad that they will come in handy, from what I've seen people have nothing but issues with they change the coils because they use aftermarket coils that die quickly and eventually go back the the original ones that they were using. Nice tutorial. That whole noodle hose on the spark plug kinda baffled me... A wiggle and an extension seem like a better option just becareful as you drop the plug down because with that noodle or an extension you'll still damage the plug with a good enough smack
The issue with sockets is that over time they wear out and the rubber part or metal part that keeps the spark plug from falling ends up failing and they stop working this is going to work all time in my opinion
They're pretty inexpensive too, usually they can wobble a bit as well. Worked perfectly for my 8th gen si, hopefully I can reuse the same one, the plugs are similar if not the same from what I remember.

Yes that would make it run rough fix that and you probably did cross the spark plug coil packs
also i took the hose that connects to the plenum and runs next to the battery back into the fire wall that let air out could that be causing anything?
