I’m really happy to see that you can increase the idle time. That was one thing really bothering me in other demos, the engine having to start every few seconds.

They are awesome great video!! I had the ess-one first version and recently put the new version in my tamiya truck and it's nice they made it much smaller and lighter than my first version.

Thank you Dirk yes they are a bit expensive but I have tried the cheap ones from Amazon and ebay and they don't sound right so the ess is my favorite choice
I Had A GT Power light and sound kit, And well it comes with 50 some odd sound profiles but thats it. you are supposed to be able to download other sounds, but it was a hassle just to get the interface program, and it never worked because the CPU would never recognize the devise.
I bought one of these because im going to use the Traxxas Lights, and still wanted sound. This Video was helpful Beyond Belife. Thank you.

I just plugged in a small deans connector lipo battery into the power. The trx4 has a specific spot for a 2nd small battery.

Hey buddy this is a awesome how too video. I bought one of these units this evening on amazon for adding to my flagship mammoth. The crossrc sound system isn't cutting the mustard..Weak sound but nice effects such as air brakes etc. I tried everything to make the speaker quality better and louder with no luck. Ive had these dual essences before but been years ago. Now my only big problem is that I dont own a PC all Mac electronics lol..I'd like to custom program mine. thats my next hurtle once I get it.

That's cool Brent! Great explanation. I've never had an ESS-ONE, but seems like a good budget idea for when I build my Hercules Hobby (Korean Tamiya knockoff) Box Truck.
Is the redline adjustable? Semis only rev to about 2500 RPM, so I don't want it screaming.

Great video, are all sounds set up on channel 2? My engine sound works but I can't seem to get the horn to work.
I think the horn needs a channel 3

Yes I do believe so and you can use the horn to add the blow off sound

Did I get that right that the idle delay(10:20) is the time, that the engine sound is playing when NOT moving the throttle/when idling, until the sound modul kills the sound/shuts off the engine?
Yes I believe that's correct if I am understanding properly

Are there sounds you can purchase? They all say free, which would lead a person to believe there are not free ones lol. Good info here. The idle time adjustment is very nice.
Have you messed around with trying to load your own sounds? Been trying to figure this out to use a different sound on a auxiliary channel. Get video over all.

heya i just stumbled upon this video and even if it's a year old hope you can help me. I've gogtten the ESS one+ and am trying to follow the steps of the program but gives me the file format error when i try to download or upload any files. if you're still using the device are you running into this too?

How do you activate the brake sound? No matter what I do it doesn't activate. Oh, let me try reenable the turbo sound maybe that's why.
I wasn't able to get the brake sound to work either? Got everything else working though, engine, turbo, and horn!

I just got one & downloaded the software but when I plug into my laptop it beeps but still shows it’s not connected for some reason, is there something I may be missing ?
Are you plugging in the single wire or the 3 wire connector into the USB the 3 wire is the one that works
@@AdventureTimeRC I plugged the 3 wire one, the device beeps but nothing on the pc, it shows the device is not connected threw the software
Did you download the program to your computer or are you trying though the website i had to download it to get it to work

No longer able to load files name boat to this unit
I've encountered same problem. I've downloaded and installed software and can not access the store through either the website or app itself. Super frustrating when I just purchased this unit and drove an hour to pick it up. At a loss.. any help would be appreciated.
hi I sent an email asking about this issue, i was asked what files I required and they sent them all ready to put on the dual ess via the desktop software.. works fine @@DanielHamel-iz5db
what if your third channel is taken
The yellow wire is for your third channel its for the horn it's optional
You can use ANY available channel for the aux sound yellow wire (other than ch1 and ch2)
Anyone have trouble getting it to link correctly?
I have not had a issue yet just used it last week hope you get yours working
