The major difference between amateurs and professional traders is in their process and approach to trading markets. Brannigan's key observation in this difference is that amateurs tend to focus on levels while professional traders tend to combine levels with interaction.
By developing confidence in understanding the interaction between buyers and sellers within a market, professional traders are able to apply leverage and manage risk with a high degree of proficiency.
To further explain this point Brannigan uses an example from the German 10 Year Bund and shows how after the market gapped down it failed to reenter the previous day's range and created the context for short-side trades. We then look at the interaction between buyers and sellers as visualised on the footprint trading tool, which effectively enables precise timing for executing trade entries.
In essence, the footprint chart slows down and summarizes the interaction as seen on the price ladder and helps you to identify shifts in interaction. To play the leverage game, you need to learn the art of risk management. And to learn the art of risk management, you need to first learn the art of interaction

One of your best videos...love your lessons learnt explanations and showing where you went wrong and how to correct it. Brilliant.
Thank ou that you still have the videos online :D So great content. Thumbs up!
Great video!
*Zapp Brannigan this is easily one of your BEST videos. I've watched over 50 Axia futures and closely follow you guys. So well done. More of this.*
Thank you!
I agree this is a very skillful video.
Thank you guys for the video and for sharing. So much truth and experience in it. I really appreciated it
Well said, you use charts but also have to feel what is going on. Only time will build that skill ONLY TIME...in the mean time till you get it, try not to blow up your accounts. The more I learn the more I realize I have lots more to learn. This will, I repeat will be my next career someday. I don't care I'm not making any money yet, I love it and spend hours learning new things. When I get good at trading the money will follow.
where do you stand 11 month later amigo ? :)
hey, how is your career after 2 years? Any good news!!
How are 3 years later
i'm getting confused... i'm studying trading since 3 weeks only and my intuition a got me here.... and this video confirms me that "how the hell can you trade seriously without DOM, time and sales, footprints and all this kind of stuff"... these tools unlock you the possibility to read the matrix and to act consequently with true rationals.. not just some "ohh i see a double bottom"
thank you for your great video and super thank you to make it free :)
you can trade without orderflow, but you have to expect swing trades for 30-100 pips with little less win ratio. but yet profitable.
Well done! Very useful video!
Thank you for the great content !

Thanks Chethan!
Hey , this trading system and setup makes sense. What free tools can I use to understand market depth ? I use TOS level 2 and time and sales, but I know that i miss many things. Any advice? Thanks!
Great vdo. For Daytrading purposes only, what is the ideal timeframe to view the Footprint chart? Is it good to see the Footprint chart in the standard Market and Volume profile charts timeframe of 30 mins?
Omg another layer of trading if you want to be profitable in the long run, the more I learn the more I realise I need to learn more!
Hello, Can Footprint charts be used for positional trading ? Please Respond Sir.
He is a very honest tutor.
He’s one of the best!
where do i find footprint charts
does TT offer footprint chart to compare it with price ladder
simply effort vs result should have an eye
Which platform are you using? I’m looking at NinjaTrader at the moment but this looks different. Will you please let me know?
you have it there written, Market Delta. But one thing i must say, there are visualisations on NT7 for free like market profile and orderflow for example.
In the Treasuries example, there's triple stacked aggressive buying in the rally in Dark Blue 26 through 28. Hindsight, but maybe consider that that buyer could still be aggressive and defend his longs when tested on the pullbacks. To me it looks like he added to his long 6 times, raising his bid, creating an upward wedge line.
"Absoluted torture" 🤣 My man I laughed hard cz sure I can relate to that... Really liking this way of reading the market, it's going to take a while sure but I can see the potential. Thx for sharing appreciate it!
If you are experienced in technical analysis plus experience how to read foot print chart properly OMG
Thanks for watching!
Which software provides this footprint?
sierra charts.
Let's say a guy has 20k in their account getting $500 intraday margin. With these "Leverage trades", what size of trade would they cut to be considered a "Leverage trade"?
So bad they bring Market Delta to ashes. Good video though!
How can a profitable trader get hired at Axia ?

He developed a strategy that was directly mentioned in Jim Dalton's book? Yeah ok whatevs guru
Thanks for watching!
Funny you refer to the aggressive seller as "he" when in fact it most likely is a computer.
A computer is too much about brute force, its definitely a he.
Does this guy make videos because he is successful or because he doesn't make any money trading?
