The open drive trading strategy is created by a big participant needing to get a large order filled, and executing that order from the start of the open. Brannigan explains that the open drive generally has a few identifying characteristics and opportunities.
The first thing to note is that it is common to see a bounce after the market finds a pocket of liquidity. Following the bounce, we tend to see a second wave for a continuation and to go with the flow. This can be seen in the given example in the S&P500 from 14.30 GMT on 25 June 2018.
The market profile then shows a series of one time-framing periods without a previous high being taken out, and continued selling throughout the day. We also don't see the extreme of the initial balance being taken out. Generally, you should go with the flow on these day types. The footprint also reveals and highlights where liquidity was found before being absorbed and consumed before the large time-frame participant continued to initiate lower prices. Combining these different identifiers helps us learn to recognise an open drive, and better execute it when trading leveraged positions.

Great content as always. Would it be possible to get some content on effective Evernoting? I've worked this into my daily trading since completing the course, but it would be great if I could get something more out of it.

Hey mate Im planning on getting Axia course but first I need Jigsaw platform, I discovered that the Advanced course that Jigsaw sells in bundle with the platform is the same as Axia volumeladder course, wich course did you take? Im considering not to buy the course from Jigsaw, and entering the career course of Axia, would really appreciate little feedback

Hi mate. I took the career course, and I found it to be really rewarding. Reg is a great teacher who'll go out of his way to help you with anything you might need during the course - he also makes sure that everyone on the course is on a similar wavelength before progressing to more advanced topics. The other guys on my course were more advanced than I was at first but I found that I picked things up quickly. You'll receive temporary licences for all of the software you'll need (jncluding Jigsaw) as part of it too. If you have the time to commit to it, it's definitely worthwhile. I hope that helps.

What do you mean by the start of the cash session? Is this regular New York session in the e-mini? 9:30 EST?

Hi Jason, the cash session is typically after the first hour of the futures market being open, which is known as the pit session, or the initial balance in terms of market profiling. The details of this are covered more extensively in our market profiling course. You can watch a free module here:

I know this is an old video, on thing that would be nice in future videos if you mention the year when giving the date.
That being said , your info is some of the best out here. Thanks very much for sharing.
